The douban rating is truly harsh. I think it's probably because there were many realistic and modern drama on air in January. This was the only historical fantasy. That's why it suffered. Tencent really messed up. Their marketing was really lacking.

When I don't like some one I try to stay away from that person as much as possible. Making unnecessary comment just seems attention grabbing activity. She really didn't have to make that comment. Honestly the plot doesn't have any time for his own love story.
But if he was having his own love line in middle of everything, honestly it would be chaotic and who would be paired with him? Another female lead would make the drama congested.
