JinZiXuan was the one who belittled JiangYanLi in front of WeiYing: WeiYing's in the clear here, imho. There's…
JiangCheng has always been a bit more cautious, which is at odds with the promulgated Jiang family creed/ethos of acting bravely in the face of injustice, no ifs and buts.
JinZiXuan was the one who belittled JiangYanLi in front of WeiYing: WeiYing's in the clear here, imho. There's…
The Girl in Red would be WenQing. I read the - translated - novel many times and what I can say is that the payoff for me in terms of the (romantic) feels is just not there. What I am feeling is warm and fuzzy and quite G-rated.
I am likely going to watch the trailers and plausibly come around again if Love and Destiny fails to stick.
I had this wish while I was reading the novel and now I wished again watching the drama. I really, really, really…

There's this pall of overarching "Mission Impossible" here: it is not possible to give fans of MDZS what they want and yet clear the censors. The interactions thus far being a wee bit ambiguous is a source of frustration to this (perhaps) inordinately dense viewer.
Frankly, at this point, if they really foist WenQing/JiangYanLi/Any-other-woman on WWX, I am bailing. The pacing's kind of off as of now, too.
Looks at tags, sees "Interspecies Romance" and can't help but laugh lightly. This is allowed while "Intraspecies Romance" aka BL (i.e. The Untamed) is ....
ChangChen is as old as ChenKun is; I'd give this a chance based on this observation alone.
Hadn't realised that NiNi bears a striking resemblance to ShuQi until I stumbled upon the introductory trailer which resembles one of those Kenzo ads that ShuQi shot eons ago.
I think they will keep it really subtle, before censoring the thing or side-stepping in the end. The romance aspect…
Mondays are going to get pretty hectic. Love and Destiny starring ChangChen and NiNi is starting next Monday. I see that you are pretty taken with this as well (i.e. saw your comment from 2 months back).
Hope nothing untoward happens in the run-up. I am looking at you, Eagle Flag.

That's just the romantic in me speaking. ;-P The actor playing JiangCheng is extremely good and doesn't get enough love; I see someone schlepping "daddy issues demons" whenever he comes on screen. Heartbreaking.
OMG this is why the name ChenQing was used in the story and what it symbolises! (The drama is also named Chén…
2 things:
(1) Was there someone that WWX was pining after when he named his flute "Chen Qing" and when he was playing tunes with it?
(2) What was JiangCheng's motivation for hanging onto Chen Qing? Because he thought that he and WWX were the ShuangJie and that WWX and everything that belonged to WWX was rightfully his?
We saw back in Episode 7 that JiangCheng threw a jealous fit/tantrum because he thought that WWX and LanZhan were too close (for his comfort).
It's so explicit that I'm legit worried how far this can go, I'm realy worried we maybe won't even be able to…
That only applies to the novel. The drama is quite tame and is likely to stay relatively tame. There might be inside jokes aplenty to soothe the fans though.
@CalisL : Have a slightly different take from what you said above:
Ep 7: I think that WWX 1 fancies LanZhan merely as a friend. In fact, JiangCheng was jealous of that bromance and said that WWX 1 might as well stay where LanZhan's at since they were getting along like a house on fire.
WWX 1 immediately went over to wrap his arms around pouty JiangCheng and soothed him, saying that nothing could compare to Lotus Pier.
WWX 1 is a natural-born flirt who gets in on with pretty much everyone.
Hence, his "daddy issues demons".
I am likely going to watch the trailers and plausibly come around again if Love and Destiny fails to stick.
It's like the Pink&White versus Green&Grey Sneaker challenge from last year.

See you at the other side!

I wasn't expecting the XueYang-XiaoXingChen-SongLan triangle to intrigue me this much.
Similarly, I found myself turning to mush whenever the Jiang siblings and WWX play/huddle together. Very heartfelt and wholesome feels.
I am expecting to see an enduring friendship, no skinship expected at all.
Not even a peck on the forehead. Which was the max. the hetero couples at Princess Silver got. Ha.
