Haha... Fan Shuia Qi as FL in this would have been perfect in all angles then. Zhou Ye is great and all. She captures the emotion and has her own grit, but still... She's just never convincing to be a cross-dresser. Well, she's just not built for it. So other characters were written to be blind about it also. But aside from that, this is such a wonderful drama.

From the released episodes in the drama, there wasn't. Hope it's like in the novel, where there was no break-up and they remain a solid couple through the end. So far, they were following the leads' relationship dynamic in the novel.

That's why i love the novel so much. Their relationship remains solid, though there were external obstacles sometimes, but mostly they were just their work schedules and rumors.

Hello. As long as i can remember, they never broke up in the novel. I guess the scene where FL was crying in the intro or outro was because of her mom. There was a part like that in the novel.

Is there any break up or misunderstanding there in the novel?
I can't remember if there's any break-up. If there is, i think it was only once. Can't remember much because all throughout the novel, they were mostly together. Or maybe i was wrong, maybe they haven't broken up. I'd read the novel long ago. And since i liked it so much, then i guess it doesn't have that much damaging/heartbreaking scenes or misunderstandings for i don't like to read or finish those kinds of novels. 😅 As for what I remembered, for misunderstandings, it's only little things and they resolve it quickly. There's no huge problem in their relationship actually. They pretty much trust each other than anyone else. It's just that they love each other but they somehow don't know how to express it better, but they still stick together no matter what the problem is. They prefer to hear it from each other than anyone else. They're both pretty straightforward, that still makes it somehow awkward. And that's one of the funniest things about them.
what’s the difference between drama and the novel?
That's why i loooove their dynamics in the novel so much. It's already a rare story for both the leads to be devoted to each other from the start to the finish. Everything is just great. The romance and politics were balanced. But more so the romance stood out because of their devotion despite every obstacle.
So far so great and so close to the novel. Very close actually. And i'm glad that i've read it waaaaay before the drama started airing. Because then, I understood all the characters' thoughts, especially the leads. Of why they were acting as such. But they were not perfect individuals. Still, i looooove their relationship dynamics when they finally came to that part in the novel. And so excited to see it in the drama, because I think they have stuck close to the novel as far as the released episodes have shown.
Deym... I have read the manhwa and it's very interesting. But for me... to see it played by this actress. I'm gonna skip it, though i like the actor for the ML. I just don't feel the vibe of her playing the FL. 😩
