What I meant was that it seems to be overrated. I watched the majority of it but Park Bo Young acts like a child for most of the series. I got to the part where they are staying together or just at the house at the same time (the first and second male lead and the female lead) at episode 10-ish.
I might have to go back to this one and start it from the beginning or watch where I left it off like 3 years ago.
This was a great watch, I genuinedly enjoyed the fluffy fun we had for the first half and as said by all, the second half started to get more serious.
Kim So Hyun is only 21 and has been in so many dramas already.
I really came to enjoy the presence of Jo Soo Hyang, who played as Kim Ssook (Captain of the Muwoldan), it's a shame that she doesn't have many main roles besides the one movie and the web-drama called Vivid Romance. I'm wondering if her previous relationship with Park Hyuk Kwon, affected her career somewhat.
Her role in Nokdu is a support role in which she did very well and in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, she had a support role in there too but to be honest, you only really saw her a few times as she was an unimportant character unlike her character in Nokdu.
Binged it on Netflix over the course of 2 to 3 days. I liked it more than Thirty but Seventeen aka Still 17 on Netflix, both shows had Shin Hye Sun as a lead, I really like her as an actress and she kind of reminds of a young Gong Hyo Jin.
People hate what they don't understand. It's such a Good show, th first few episodes blew everyone's mind too.…
What about the rating for The Producers? I haven't watched it yet but the show had a rating above 8.5 or 9 a year or 2 ago but now it's rated 7.7.
I actually never finished off Something in the Rain completely, I was at the part where they revealed their relationship to the female lead's family, so around episode 13 I think. I need to go back and finish it off.
I absolutely loved it and I gave it a 9.5/10. It was a calming and stress-free drama that was just cute and fluffy through out, a much needed watch after finishing Strangers from Hell.
I honestly can not believe I didn't watch this drama sooner. This is the best I've seen of Lee Sung Kyung and her chemistry with the main lead was off the charts (I'm aware they were dating before working on this drama and have broken up according to MDL).
I'm now considering whether to watch Shopping King Louie or not.
i think I'm going to drop it. it's not bad or anything, I am not being able to have interest in it.i came here…
For me, Strong Woman Boo Dong Soon is not as good as this one. I felt SWBDS was a little on the cringe side of things. This show however, is just cute and hits the highs really well.
The ending is brilliant. Jong woo has already turned into the killer. Moon jo has successfully turned him into…
I'm not completely sure but he's definitely pushed him over the edge. I can see why you think he has become the second Moon Jo because when he's typing "Die" repeatedly on the laptop, he begins to smile like Moon Jo and then you actually see Moon Jo's face replacing Yoon's.
I just finished the drama and it's genuinely fantastic, I was a little skeptical before I watched it because there were a few saying that it was boring, quite the contrary for me.
Just finished it, very good watch. I gave it a 8.5, it a relatively simple story that is executed well. My scoring used to be very generous but I'm trying my best not to score things so highly, this show definitely sits between an 8 and 8.5.
I'm watching this right now on Netflix and I'm up to episode 15. The rating of this show on MDL, doesn't do it justice, should be 8+ at least. At the moment, I'll be giving this a show a strong 8.5 out of 10.
The show is a nice watch, I'm enjoying the cuteness of it all.
Yup, I had a quick look. I still think the love aspect is kind of nonsensical in this k-drama. Yes, he believes her to be his saviour from that time 25 years ago and is obviously obsessed with the ID card and that becomes "feelings", etc. As for getting to the point that she falls for him hard is just straight up weird and did not feel natural. I absolutely loathe the scene in episode 10 of when he comes back to Republic of Korea and is standing in front of her house, for her then to see and rush to him in slow-motion whilst "crying" (I think)...just made me cringe.
I also do feel that you have put too much emphasis on a few things and the whole thing about being observant, particularly the point about him buying the book of poems to get to know her better as well as remember her....is a spoon-fed scene and is blatantly obvious...there is no pieces of puzzle to put together.
I do like some of the concepts of the k-drama but the romance is weak in my opinion. The stronger parts of the k-drama are the villain's motives and actions, the mystery of the flute and possible time-travel because how else is an ID badge from the future present in the past.
Just my 2 cents, I got back to watching this today ep 9 and 10, will be watching the rest probably tomorrow. I was actually trying to watch something else, I originally thought that the latest Mystic Pop-Up Bar episodes came out today but was disappointed to find out that I had to wait a couple more days.....it's like a Korean xxxHoLic (not as good though but still decent). So I was scouring through Netflix and started watching Hyena but stopped halfway through the first episode even though it had the female lead from Signal, I heard it's a very decisive show in that you either hate or like it. The other one I found but didn't watch was "Strangers from Hell", heard it was pretty dark, have you seen it?
Just took a look at your profile, it seems you are relatively new to K-drama and I noticed you watched the movie version of Cheese in the Trap, the K-drama version has the same male lead but the female lead is actually the female lead from The King, it was her first k-drama and it wasn't great but her second k-drama, Goblin, is fantastic and I highly recommend it.

Have you seen other dramas that are similar to Strangers from Hell? Is it kind of like Save Me?
@pcharlotte787 - I actually cannot wait for you to start watching some true K-drama gems like Goblin, Signal, Reply 1997, The Master's Sun, etc.
