I gave it a 8/10, it was a good watch and had some good laughs but I'm not sure I could have given it any higher than a 8. I'm just curious if it will get a second season because it said "We Will be Back" in the end, probably in a couple of years.
Can you suggest some good dramas which are better than sky castle. I actually liked this drama..After watching…
Signal, Reply 1997, Stranger, etc. I used to just check the top recent shows and gave them a try. Right now I'm just watching some animes and SCAM$ (J-Drama).
I think it's a good drama but looking at the comments below, I can see that it is overrated. Like I noticed someone say that this show should be "number 1 on the list", I'm like hell no, go watch some more K-Drama and come back to me of what your opinion is.
The show at first reminded me of Desperate Housewives at first glance, I mean there are resemblances.
I just finished episode 11 and I'm unfortunately aware of some of the big spoilers for this drama, which is kinda making me hesistant from continuing to watch it.
I'm pissed oscars snubs this masterpiece but then again it's a popularity contest.
Not really, Black Panther would have won Best Picture then. The films that were nominated for Best Foreign Language Film, of the 3 that I watched (Capernaum, Roma and Shoplifters) were incredible. Have you seen them?
It's a mystery. You're the detective. You gotta figure sh-- out for yourself cuz the killer isn't just gonna hand…
First off, I'm not a casual, I have watched far too many films, shows, etc to even be considered it.
I felt the movie had a pacing issue but that's only if the movie is to be considered a thriller mystery. However, the movie was more about Yoo Ah In's character, the whole mystery was there to see how he would deal with it along with his mentality coupled with his socio-economic background....who does he see as an enemy/culprit? As for the mystery itself, it lacked depth but that could be because it was only there to explore further into his character study.
I'm not going to say the killer was obvious but a lot of evidence was shown throughout the movie but this could be because these were connections made by Yoo Ah In's character's perception which ultimately led to him confirming his suspicions after seeing the killer's trophies. As in the dots were originally connected under his perception, so we as viewers can not completely assume that what he is interperting is correct. He could be misinterpreting everything and so he becomes obssessed with finding real evidence, he somewhat lets his guard down after not finding anything concrete but then the nail in the coffin evidence appears and soldifies his conviction.
I personally didn't get the detective vibes when watching the movie.
There is a movie where I did get the detective vibe and a very strong one was the first Solomon's Perjury movie, it's the first of 2 Japanese movies. This movie was brilliant, I do hope you give it a try if you haven't already.
The ratings for this seem to be low on MDL but from my understanding ppl are comparing it to the K-Drama that came a year after the original films, which is a shame.

I wholeheartedly disagree and thanks for insulting me. From my memory of the movie, it was the "budding" relationship of the main and the missing girl. At some point she meets a guy, who she thinks can take her to better places. Then radio silence and from then it's the main guy trying to figure out what happened, where did she go, etc which begins I would say at around 75% of the game.
Are you saying when the guy says I go to greenhouses often that being an anaolgy for him killing ppl and collecting trophies, is an intricate plot device for a mystery? Once he yawns, indicates that he's bored of them and proceeds to make them disappear.
To be frank, the movie failed to catch my interest and I found it shallow.
However, I saw this movie at Lotte Cinema at the main Lotte mall in Seoul last year in May with no subtitles, so I definitely missed stuff but I did get a general grasp of most of the movie. Many staff came up to me and my sister and were telling me that the movie is completely in Korean, we were like "Yea, we know" lol.
Since you understand "intricacies of arthouse cinema", please explain to me what they were because I genuinely would like to know why this is considered to be a well exceuted movie. I want to know if it's worth watching again and this time having English subtitles to go along with it. I know a lot of critics absolutely adored the movie, when the reviews for this came out.....they baffled me because I thought so poorly of the film.
I didn't understand why you had the need to insult but I hope you do reply to this.
Putting probably one of the best shows of this year as a "bonus feature". I am assuming you did not believe or had much hope in it, perhaps a slither that it will be decent but no faith in it. Hopefully you watched it.
Watched at Lotte Cinema a few days ago, it's a boring film. I don't understand some of the critics for this film,…
I only watched it because my sister wanted to because of Yoo Ah In and I wanted to watch a Korean movie in the cinema. Will be watching Love Sling and Believer if I'm lucky, hope those will be better films.
Watched at Lotte Cinema a few days ago, it's a boring film. I don't understand some of the critics for this film, it's suppose to be an artsy indie movie but it is slow and boring. Not thrilling at all.
I guess you didn't try hard enough in getting to watch the previous seasons. Sure, I understand the logic you are trying to communicate but at the same time why bother watching season 4 if you decided to read what happens in the previous 3 seasons rather than watching them.

Bones don't decompose that fast especially in an environment like that.
