I normally agree with you Eliot - I've been avoiding this one, but I may give it a shot. I have a really hard time with these two playing red flag characters after Theory of Love.
This series is one of the most polarising ever. Both the best and nearly the worst, judging by reviews. I love…
Hey Bud - I understand why you are saying this stuff, but its not really helping. The actual reality of human life, for all people everywhere, is that we are all born "bisexual" - for most of our evolution sex was a transactional interaction - needing something from someone was not dependent on their gender, nor was our ability to get them off, so they would share with us.
This insistence on timelines and puberty, is just more of the same nonsense that made the world the broken place it is.
And they have diverted a little from the story. The straw hats never left Igaram behind to sacrifice himself they…
Bud, Oda does not kill - it was pointed out to me when I was back in Dressrosa and tbh has kinda ruined the show for me. If you just think someone has died - know they have not. These are the only deaths that I know 100%:
Ace Whitebeard Rocks D. Xebec Joyboy Gol D. Roger Pedro (Pell tho - makes even this one sus)
I hated that in the A-Team when I was child watching reruns before school - its somehow worse and even more unbelievable in an anime.
Well, thank God there is no such thing as hell - he is a lot nicer than people, as this comment clearly demonstrates.…
I figured there wasn't a joke to that - I was hoping for that I guess?? It was quite a jarring comment to just read in passing without any context - I was just looking for a good drama on Netflix. Its still a little disturbing that 4 people were like, "yeah I agree, heart that!" I don't even know what to say.
Well, thank God there is no such thing as hell - he is a lot nicer than people, as this comment clearly demonstrates. Its a really good thing that God is also the only one who can actually pass judgement too - I'm having to remind myself that right now, bc if I were to judge a Mother that would send their Son to hell (for anything really)
I haven't watched this yet - I'm really hoping when I do I find out this is some kind of joke and thats how you could have 4 likes for this comment. Or maybe your just being sarcastic and I'm missing it bc I'm half awake? Thats prolly why I'm so pissed too, bc trauma from parents is actually pretty common in the queer world, so I'm fairly used to crap like this. If I had seen this at lunchtime I prolly would just brushed this off.
There is a Qing Dynasty made in 99 that was very good. Many of the Qing Dynasty shows are pretty close to how China was in terms of cultural hairstyle and clothing - they standardized a lot of stuff like that, so its hard to depict wrong if they try at all. Your outfit was your rank status - common people couldn't wear silk and had more dulled color clothing, so the nobles and wealthy really did wear bright vibrant colorful clothing, color was a flex.
They can redo Tomb of sea but pleaseeee never replace Wu lei in dat show 😛
Exactly that! I loved Qin Hao as Wu Zie too but I can't see anyone else as Li Cu - I would watch his spin off series if the whole show he was just wandering around underground fighting cgi snakes! 😁
In the last 2 episodes is more active... He doesn't appear in every episode.
This is a little humorous to me. Perhaps you educate yourself a bit. The prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) (I am not a Muslim) stated very clearly, "You will not enter paradise until you believe and you will not believe until you love one another."
Allah is "All forgiving, most merciful" - so think about that, compare with the God of the Bible, who has also had the most recent prophet profess divine love...
God doesn't talk out the corner of the mouth - doesn't say something with fingers crossed. Jesus left us no way out of loving our neighbors - people like to think that he did... or just changed it. The Bible is the most edited book in history - which an educated person knows. Do you think Jesus ordained "blood to the horses bridle" in the book about our own internal epiphany? Nope, he didn't do a 180 and decide to be a bastard at the end of the world - that bit was made up by people for power.
I'm sure Muhammed and the Quran suffered the same fate.
I forgot about this! I'm really excited for the cast of this reboot! From the comments it seems to have gone well - I can't be happier about that. I love the originals but this one series that almost needs a reboot to tell the story coherently. The shorter more focused episode format may actually allow for the whole series to be be completed in one cast, which would be amazing.
I also really like the opportunity they've established by having XZX play young Wu Xie in the Adventure Behind the Bronze Door - so maybe having Edward Zhang and Chen Ming Hao play the mature iterations of Wu Xie and Pang Zi... having them in the Reunion Arc would be amazing. They could make those at the same time as the younger reboot even. Reunion really deserves reboot - they lost themselves in that warehouse... I don't know about redoing Tomb of the Sea tho...
Congratulations , but how it's possible to have 26 million views but 70 million likes
Brave search is better and you'll never see a real ad online ever again, I'm serious about that. Brave browser has these little ads in the corner that pop up like 1-2 times an hour for a few seconds - NONE of the ads on the websites are there at all.
Also - AI isn't generating search results anymore - its going on the actual internet and finding content and then displaying it to you, it may grab some incorrect content, occasionally, but saying "Hey Copilot search for" is the same as typing it into Edge Browser.
There is no point in not using AI - ALL of our stuff is built with AI inside of it now, there is no not using it - everything typed in Word365 is typed into to Copilot, every word. Every Galaxy has Gemini built into the OS, so when I use my S24 - Google gets all my information even tho I bought it from Samsung. This is just how the world is now.
Might as well roll with things that make life easier.
Wait what are you guys talking about? Explain me what's happening cuz i have no idea. And who is sprouting all…
We do know how rich people are and yeah - its always us off the cliff at the slightest reason involving them maybe losing money, as that is the only thing that matters to them.
That is the biggest downside to Chinese productions right now in my opinion. You can see from this show even - China is making top tier media and the CCP knows that the world is starting to watch, so they are doing a lot of flexing right now. China is one of the most developed places on earth - there are smaller countries, like the UAE, that have maybe a more advanced level development but most Chinese cities look like something out 90s Sci Fi movie - its truthfully incredible how far they have come so fast, they have every reason to flex, I understand.
But... they are glorifying wealth, to show us all that they have it, at an extraordinary level and I really wish they weren't, at exactly right now, bc the world is waking up to the inequality - capitalism is the most threatened it has ever been and now one of the biggest cultural proponents for it, is a Communist Country. Its a little ironic but more tragic really.
I think Mark might be the most under rated actor in Thailand.
This is one of the most talented people I think GMM has ever signed and they give him side roles. His first main role was about a dentist in a sweet relationship, THAT sentence is cringe alone enough for me to skip that. I feel bad for Mark. That was his shot huh? Uh, huh - GMM, what's up this? Did he piss someone off, is he too arrogant off screen, does he want too much money?
Great pfp! I read that as Lemongrab the very first time and I didn't even consciously notice that was Lemongrab in your pfp - I read your name first, went like "omg that - ahh it is!!"
You don't feel fireworks for the chemistry of a real life couple??
Right. Bc if they make another Spiderman movie and Tom Holland and Zendaya are married in real life by then - nobody will mention that in Hollywood, bc they are all super professional about just talking about the actors in their acting roles... lol.
I understand your point but THEY, chose to make this show while being in actual relationship - that is going to be discussed - just like it would be in Hollywood or Bollywood or S. Korea or China or anywhere else on earth that makes TV.
You don't feel fireworks for the chemistry of a real life couple??
Recall how Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie made that movie, "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" and then they got together? Real life relationships happen due to an acting job frequently. Thats part of it...
Like how Dune promos kept teasing Timothee Chalomet with Zendaya even tho she is now engaged to her Co-Star in the Spiderman movies, Tom Holland... movies she made well before Dune.
In this instance that is not what even has happened. In the BL world, the leads of Unforgotten Night getting together after that show is the biggest example of that situation.
Apparently Daou and Offroad have been together since before they started doing BL even. I have no reason to ship them outside of their shows at all, I'm not that kind of viewer.
You don't feel fireworks for the chemistry of a real life couple??
Hehe, I've been around here too long. There are some very, very active people - with many accounts. I forget exactly what drama it was but there was a BL where someone was using 5-6 different accounts to try completely control the conversation - by having conversation with themselves, arguing with themselves, accusing themselves of things but all around a slant they wanted to take with certain ship. There was only about 500 comments at the time and that person had the lion's share of all them. It was a bit bizarre. That was in the last year or two.
What you're dealing with here is more typical. The account won't be very old and will have little activity - often times, only the show/ship/actors the account is being used for - OR the account will be years old - again with very little activity. Few friends, if you follow the friends, they will usually very obviously link to one person - or all of them together. The biggest tell is the way they act - exactly like you've experienced here, they never reply, only aggravate, have like one opinion that they never shut up about, and are super active for like a day or two - then long pauses.
They are very bot like, but I don't know that they are bots... bots don't take breaks, these accounts do.
Hey! I'm so glad you've commented recently bc I'm just discovering this story tbhYou claim to be a professional…
I really was being genuine when I said I was glad you had replied recently - I really appreciate the whole explanation. I wanted to differ to your expertise and I think that is exactly what I will in this instance, as I have no reason not to believe you. I like your site btw ;)
I did see a clip where I thought immediately, "that could have been done better" but there are all these allusions to more - truthfully these days, video and social media and all digital "evidence" is actually rather easy to fake. With my very limited Mandarin, I'm unsure if I even could investigate this to my own 100% certainty. That was why the "15 Tickets Only" was such a convincing story - who am I to argue a local Chinese boycott?
With this being so political its also going to be taken advantage of by all anti-CCP actors/people/groups in China - if they can make Yu a voice in their movement they absolutely will do so, they have every incentive to as this reaches a different audience (younger) than they normally are focused on.
Of course, the CCP is going to shut that down as much as possible - as this progresses they may even go as far as totally cancel Yu - which might be why Netflix is removing his name (if that happened, I have not verified that) but that really could happen if Yu is successfully made into a "rebel cause" because that will "force" the CCP to cancel him - that is what they do.
Obviously all of that activity will just add to the appearance of conspiracy as the CCP shuts down all the anti-CCP narratives...
Loving his performance in Love's Ambition. Never disappoints.
Hey! I'm so glad you've commented recently bc I'm just discovering this story tbh
You claim to be a professional with 15 years of Asian Entertainment/Media journalistic expertise - so, he sold 15 tickets, is that a common happening? To me that is the most damning thing about this whole story. Clearly people believe the allegations - even the superfans, all but 15 of them...
Are you a superfan - or is there some other reason that you are so confident in this position?
This insistence on timelines and puberty, is just more of the same nonsense that made the world the broken place it is.
