sponsors r important in the production process of anything . yes , sometimes in dramas they go over the top with…
American shows and movies have product placement too, similarly to kdramas. There's a reason they have actors hold bags of chips or candy awkwardly from the bottom so viewers can read the brand name...
Tv shows and movies are extremely expensive to make. If they can get some money from Subway, all the better.
One Spring Night is similar as in it is a slow-paced romance and a comforting melodrama. Just Between Lovers as…
They are some good ones in Jdramas. Love That Makes You Cry and Orange Days are the ones that come to mind.
I also really liked Soredemo Ikite Yuku and loved N no Tame Ni but they are less of a romance (as in the romance is less of the focus and is more "subtle"). The second one is like a slice-of-life mystery...if that's a thing.
If you want slow-paced romance you can also try some Asadoras (Japanese Morning Dramas - 15mins episodes). They are usually female-centric and slice of life with a slow burn romance. My favourite one so far is Mare.
I know there are more because Japan is known for their slice-of-life and melo romances but I have yet to really explore them.
I wish there were more kdramas like Just Between Lovers, One Spring Night, Run On and When the Weather is Fine.
I might have missed it in the earlier episodes but what is the age difference between the lead characters? Sometimes he talks like she is at least 10 years younger than him. I know Tong Yao is in her early twenties...is Sicheng in his late twenties/early thirties?
He is no beast. 1. He has no experience 2. No drive Can you imagine their first night together? He won't know…
Or she could teach him a thing or two and they could explore what they like together? Isn't that what you should do when with a new partner. If she fakes it, its on her for not communicating her needs. It takes two to tango.
Yassss "Love me like that" by by Sam Kim it's officially released, finallyy!!
Is it just me or was the song at a higher tempo in the show? I remember the part of "I'm insecure..." having more rhythm and the guitar being louder.
Don't get me wrong, the song is still great and I've been waiting impatiently for its release, but I am wondering if my mind is playing tricks with me.
Could someone tell me what's Yang Do Hyuk's character? Like is he also chasing the FL? Is his part as important…
As of episode 5, he isn't actively chasing her (as in openly competing with Song Kang's character for her affection and/or declaring his love for her) but he obviously has a crush on her and he could soon become another serious love interest for SoHee's character.
Dohyuk barely had any scenes so far (he isn't present in the first 3 episodes) but his character's role is getting bigger as the story progresses. His character is an old childhood friend of Nabi with whom she reconnects. So far he is really sweet.
tbh, the ost "we're already" spoiled the fact that pje would change for nabi ages ago. like i knew when i heard…
After seeing your comment I got curious and looked up the English translation of the song. It seems to be a song about someone who is in love but is not sure of the other person's sincerity and they worry that the relationship will end. At least that's the interpretation I got from quickly looking over the lyrics.
I might be wrong but I believe the song is describing Nabi's feelings more than Jaeon's.
Came to check out a tally of people who thinks they will stick to the ending in webtoon.
I would be extremely disappointed. I was promise a somewhat anti-romantic story based on spoilers from the webtoon. If they change the ending to "be more mainstream" or "to be a typical romance kdrama", I am going to be piss. I don't mind adding more depth to Jaeon as a character...but can we stick to portraying a failed relationship please.
I'm enjoying it. It's somewhat different than the usual coming-of-age/university days kdramas ( it explores some more mature subject matter e.g. sex). I haven't read the webtoon but so far I get this anti-romance vibe similar to 500 Days of Summer, except Nevertheless is NOT a rom-com. I'm enjoying the soundtrack too. If the premise sounds interesting to you; you should check it out. You only need to watch the beginning of Episode 1 to get the feel of it. You'll know then if it's for you or not.
May be because of the play boy character i guess, he done great job in NAVILLERA though
I found him a bit green at times in Navillera (mostly in the earlier episodes) but I do remember enjoying fully his performance in Sweet Home. It was my first time seeing him and I kept a look out for his next projects afterwards. I'm not sure yet about his acting in this drama (only 1 episode) but if that is the intention, he is succeeding in creeping me out (alarm bells ringing in my head hahaha).
