Culture plays a big role in this decision….marriage in their culture is more sacred than most countries. A care…
Consent. Kangho could not consent to a) the marriage b) the sexual relationship that comes with it c) having kids. Consent should be the most sacred thing in any relationship. Also, she wanted to trap him in a marriage in case he regain his memory. Marriage should not be a trap.
I want to watch this but every clip I've seen of this drama is just the mother being horrible to her son and I…
She is a bad mother. She chooses to mistreat her son and be mean to him instead of showing him love and kindness. The drama justifies her actions by making her pitiful and saying that she did it out of love. It is infuriating so if you already have a hard time with the depiction of parent/children relationships in kdrama, I wouldn’t recommend watching this. Your blood will boil.
It’s a good drama but I do not agree with its messages: the end justifying the means and « she didn’t choose to be a bad mother, it was the circumstances/other people ».

"we grew up a strong bonding that is almost non-existent in the west..." Who's we? Where is "the west"? Why do you believe this? What makes you believe that "a strong family bond" is barely existant there?
im so glad more people are now openly talking about youngsoon's character after last week when someone was fighting…
I completely agree with you. Just because Youngsoon's actions are motivated by "good intentions", it does not mean that it isn't abuse. I mean "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" is it not? Although I understand Youngsoon and can even sympathize with her, I also have a very hard time condoning her decisions. Instead of realizing that her "tough love" approach causes more damage than good, she still firmly believes that the end justify the means and oufff....
As much as I enjoy the drama, I am starting to worry that the drama will ultimately portray the abuse as "necessary" and as a form of "good parenting" (like it did during that river montage). Looking at some of the comments, it seems that's the message some viewers are getting. I hope I am wrong and the drama will maintain some kind of criticism and nuance with her character.
sometimes it's the only way to make a person try harder is to be harsh on him and don't cuddle him it's tough…
The guy still needs to eat to recover. How do you maintain muscles and have enough energy to move if you are starving? It’s not about « motivation » or « tough love », it’s about health. PEOPLE HAVE TO EAT TO STAY ALIVE AND WELL. You need to eat to make a full recovery. That’s why when you are sick and have no appetite, you should still eat something and drink lots of fluid.
Also withholding food the way this mom does is a form of abuse/neglect.
However, I assume she still fed him off screen or else he would have passed out again and never moved (wouldn’t have been able to build the muscles to do so)
i enjoyed it so much but the ending left me with so many questions. 1. what's with gi o sung's feeling that jaebeom…
I’m so glad that I am not the only one with all these questions. I thought I had miss something because Ohsung’s motivations didn’t really add up.
Also, it was never really explained why they were all friends Jaebum, Ohsung, Sejin and Wonseok. From what I understood, Wonseok and Ohsung were never friends until Ohsung blackmailed Wonseok in doing his dirty work. Why would they all hang out, take pictures, go to amusement parks, etc. together? The pictures looked like a group of best friends hanging out or two couples going on double dates… Why did Ohsung keep those pictures? Was it really only to manipulate Jaebum? That would mean he’s been planning all this since before he almost killed Jaebum ….
Chanmi is so conveniently gullible. It is absolutely ridiculous!
At this point, someone could tell her that her twin brother had an evil twin brother who killed everyone who has died on this show and she would believe it. No questions ask. Ugghh
The two police officers are not only terrible at their job, they are terrible people -.- they think they can do whatever they want just because they are cops…
Whats with 4000 missing people? Did they disappear or what?
This is a case of information being lost. It's actually 4000 missing people reports having been filed during the incident. Most reports could be for the same person, some reports are for people that eventually got back home safe or contacted their loved ones afterwards, others are for the 153 victims that have now been identified, as well as the 133 victims in the hospital.
In short, there isn't 4000 people missing, just 4000 reports. The police isn't looking for anyone. They are just using the reports to help them identify the victims.
Why Hee Do's daughter surname is Kim ? Does that means is it not her daughter or Baek Yi Jin is not the father…
Women don’t take their husband’s last name in Korea. Children usually take the father’s last name unless they don’t have a father at birth ( i.e. single mother) or their father is a foreigner and they want a fully Korean name. It’s too early to speculate on who is the father. For now, it looks like it isn’t Baek Yijin, unless he took his mother’s name for some reason (to escape creditors for example).
Also, Kim is one of the most common last names in Korea. Having 3-4 characters with that last name does not mean they are in anyway related to each other.
Does Jang Ki Yong have a lot of screentime? I am considering watching it bc of him but I always delay it bc I…
The drama is primarily focus on the women and the work but, out of the 3 love interest, Jang Ki Yong’s character definitely has the most screen time. In the later episodes, the romances become more of the focus. I personally thought it was well balanced romance-plot wise.
I really hope they don't ditch the ending. The whole reason this drama is being made is because the webtoon was…
Unfortunately, often times drama adaptations don't stay true to the original Webtoon ending. It happened a few times ( I won't give examples because of spoilers but there are a few and some of them were pretty big F yous to the fans of the original stories). I hope they stay faithful to the Webtoon in this case but I wouldn't be surprise if they change it.

It really depends. I'll always remember that scene in the tv show Bones where they talk about the car's line detection feature for a full minute. That was the first "in your face" product placement I ever noticed.
It’s a good drama but I do not agree with its messages: the end justifying the means and « she didn’t choose to be a bad mother, it was the circumstances/other people ».
