Not really, but despite not having a lot of skinship, this movie still depicts one of the most touching young romance I have ever seen. Far more romantic than any passionate kiss. Highly recommend!
The fact they had people speak English in Québec took me out of the drama. I wish they had included French dialogue to be more realistic. It's been years and it still disappoints me.
Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed in this drama. It's biggest flaw was its pacing. Perhaps if it had only been 24 (12) or 32 (16) episodes, the story would have been tighter. There was too many times where the main story line was put on pause to give way to a irrelevant side story or to focus on the other main conflict. It was as if each plot point had to take a number and wait in line for its turn lol
Dong Ha as Hyunsoo was definitely the highlight acting and character wise.
I see...I personally am not too fond of the idea of gratuitous feminicide, especially in a comedy. Your idea could be interesting if done sensitively and appropriately but it would be too much of a gamble for the writer considering the tone of the drama so far. Beside, death, especially of a female character, is not the only way to achieve a sad or bittersweet ending. E.g. The drama could end with Vincenzo in prison for his crimes.
Anyone else felt like Seo hae could be blood-related to Tae sul through the brother?
I'm really curious about their connection too. Not sure if she is blood related though but it is not yet completely off the table as a possibility.
However, I was wondering if I had misunderstood something. Didn't Seohae's father say to NOT contact Taesul once she got "there"? I thought it was weird that she had a list of directives about calling Taesul and that was the first thing she tried to do once she got her hand on a phone.
Hopefully next episode will provide some explanations and clues.
The first episode was a fun and intriguing watch! Looking forward to see where the story goes. Hopefully it will be an entertaining drama throughout. Fingers crossed.
its the sad reality... western celebs and celebs in my country can still kind of maintain a body type that looks…
Oh you are right! I hadn't notice that at first.
Let's hope that if there is a second season, they will deal with the issue of eating disorders sensibly and appropriately. Hopefully they will treat it as the serious illness it is and show the character getting proper treatment (and not have her magically start eating again). Let's end the narrative that eating disorders are choices or "extreme diets" and can be resolved by simply telling the person to eat more/stop throwing up.

IT IS MADDENING!! You also hear about (mostly female) idols passing out, being anemic and not having their periods for long periods of times...hmmmm those are all signs of being severely underweight...they are signs of serious illnesses that are caused by starvation.
Like you I find the way this issue is talked about extremely disturbing. It should not be normal. Allowing employers to "manage" the weight of their employees is a form of abuse.
The more I think about that scene, the more angry I get. They portrayed the character's unhealthy eating habits as cute...urghhhh
I just need to get this off my chest. The scene in which the actress said what she’s been eating for a month was a bit triggering. It is beyond awful that starving idols and actors (especially female ones) is common practice in real life. To be clear, under eating is FAR MORE dangerous than overeating!
I don't know what that says about me as a person but I understand the difficulty in moving on. Jaewon might be…
Perhaps...but I don't believe the length of the relationship truly justifies nor dictates the amount of time it takes to move on...
I agree that the show should have also showed a healthier way of moving on from a relationship as a contrast to the main couple's unhealthy break up...
Today's episode was overall good...Finally eunoh opened her mouth and told her friends... She should have done…
I don't know what that says about me as a person but I understand the difficulty in moving on. Jaewon might be an extreme case of shameless pining, but I've been where he is. The complete lack of self-respect exhibited when someone is having a hard time moving on is very real (at least in my own personal experience).
It took me over a year to finally accept that I deserved better and that I was desperately holding on to something that wasn't good for me. I learned that love didn't have to be that hard and painful.
Unfortunately, I don't think Jaewon will come to the same realization. Unless we are in for a surprise, Jaewon and Eunho will most likely be endgame. We'll see how the show handles it.
I can't stop thinking about Park Jae Won.He's such a hopeless romantic. He thought she was the one. Got drunk…
I agree!! Ji Changwook brought so much more to an otherwise hopeless and frustrating character. He is giving such a great performance, both hilarious and touching at times. I don't think anyone else would have been able to make me empathize with Park Jaewon with all his flaws.
Although I don't know how Eunoh can make up for the way she treated Jaewon, I hope they will take the time to heal the wounds they have inflicted on each other. She needs to be honest for once and make up her mind. There is nothing worse in a relationship than someone whose actions and words don't align and who plays with the other like a yo-yo. I say this from experience.
Thus, I understand Jaewon's inability to move on. Despite the way she talks and acts, Eunoh never let him go. Jaewon has been tormented with the hope that she'll come back to him because she never properly ended things. She also keeps showing up at the most crucial times of his grief.
Did I misunderstood something? Why is everyone talking and treating Yu Yan as if he is much younger then everyone else? I thought he said he was also 18...or is it a reference to his sheltered childhood? Do they simply perceive him as younger because of his lack of life experience?
