China is producing some top tier BLs. I hope they keep it up because I, for one, am SAT for every single one of them. I knew they’d dominate once they put their minds to releasing BLs. Revenged love drew a swarm. I’m positive this one will, as well. Toxic fans and haters need not apply.

The aerial shots are of Seattle, which is interesting. I live in a city close to Seattle, so very familiar with the skyline and recognized the Space Needle, which is supposed to be Hua Yong’s actual home in this ABO-verse reality. Outtake and intake aerials are all of downtown Seattle. I wonder why they chose Seattle? No shade, just mild curiosity.

Doubt it if it’s an Apple TV. I just tried to access the membership options of a channel I recently cancelled, but it won’t let me. You’d need to log into your YouTube account from a desktop or an Android app if you have a friend/family member with the green bubbles to get access to memberships.

Yeah, and it’s only like $3 USD a month. So worth it. No delays or crashes. If you have an iPhone, you have to use a computer to access the membership, though.

I’m sure they do like we do when geoblocked- use VPNs. Because they have plenty of fans in China

Because sound quality is an issue in Chinese dramas, the actors record their parts in a studio after and that gets dubbed over the original. Not sure why they haven’t mastered audio quality in Chinese dramas though. It’s in every Chinese drama I’ve watched, BL or not. This is why some of the sounds are a little louder than they’d be in real life.

Hats off to you if you can refrain for 8 more weeks. I can barely last Wednesday-Sunday every week. I have rewatched all episodes at least 3x a week plus SNS posts and BTS shares from the company on YouTube. Yes, yes I am obsessed. And no, I do not care if it’s a concern 😉

With how the actors have been inundated with crazy fans crushing them, I imagine mainland China fans are using VPNs to watch as the censorship has not been lifted. But imagine if they did finally get rid of their ban? China would dominate the BL industry. We’d be like “Thailand, who?”

I admit that I slept on this, but it’s because I knew the ending wouldn’t be what I wanted to see, so I delayed the inevitable. But it was still a very good watch.

Because the grandfather just cared for her because he had no one else (his grandson rarely visited) and the mom let him care for her because she felt bad for him since he was alone and because he’s a good person. He wasn’t IN love with her. He views her as a daughter.

I agree with you. Western viewers may need to open their minds to a more eastern belief system which accepts reincarnation and how that system views souls as something that can return many times versus western belief systems where souls are one life and done.

After watching the first 2 episodes, I think I understand the premise. I think Xia Cha and Hai Yuan are souls destined for each other, no matter the time. Hai Yuan keeps getting senses of deja vu and Xia Cha lost everyone young, including his wife. What if his wife is reincarnated as Hia Yaun and this was the universe’s way to reunite them for some mystic reason? The age difference wouldn’t matter because they are destined souls and souls don’t really have an age- if the premise is reasoned like this. I’m sure it takes several episodes for this closeness to cross the invisible age barrier, but despite Xia Cha’s lived age, he’s stuck in Ze Fang’s body now and must grow accustomed to the difference. It would be stranger, I think, for Hia Yaun to open his heart to Xia Cha in Ze Fang’s body, only to have the soul of Ze Fang and his personality return after falling for Xia Cha’s gentle soul. I imagine the aversion he felt for Ze Fang would also return, but with the added sorrow and confusion after growing close to Xia Cha.

I don’t know. But I’m willing to keep an open mind in this. Rebirth, transmigration, and reincarnation don’t make complete sense if you’re of the more traditionally “western” religious mindset. I’m not (believing more so in the “eastern” religious mindset of reincarnation than the “western” of one life and done, so I guess it’s easier for me to get past the age thing.

Either way, I enjoyed E1 and 2. Looking forward to next week and the obvious shenanigans and blunders Xia Cha will get into while adapting to Ze Fang’s body and life.

Um, we’re we supposed to believe the drunk “kiss” was actually a full on kiss? Because their lips barely touched. Like, their heads moved like they were, but the distance was like two very straight and slightly homophobic guys were forced to kiss and told to “make it look real”.
