I haven't watched this one yet but try Sun Li's other drama 'I' ll Find You A Better Home' with Luo Jin. Their…
Oo thanks! I gave this a shot and like their relationship! Although I do admit that I did end up skimming some of the real estate cases... but yes, they have a cute relationship indeed!
does anyone know of any dramas like this with similarly great romances? ;u; their intimate fluff scenes are leaving me wanting more after finishing ;;;; i need something to fill this void slow burns that are really trust filled and where you actually see the main characters-- in a subtle way sometimes and at others a really direct and realistic way-- try to understand each other.
Hey I am thinking of watching this. I just have few questions.1) He the ML good guy from the start?2) The FL will…
Hey there! 1) at the beginning, you're made to question whether he is a good or bad person but he didnt really take any lives, etc. If i understood the raws correctly, ML was an informant from the beginning/for a while at least.(someone can correct me if wrong)
2) they have actual feelings for each other. She uses him at times, but develops feelings along the way
3) towards the end c: I'd say within the last 5-6 episodes? But he doesnt verbalize it until within the last 3 episodes (once again, could be a little off in terms of numbers)
4) crazy chemistry /in my opinion/. The tension between them in every scene is always off the charts. They express they care for each other though, and the viewer is also certain of this. So there's romance, but the drama doesnt really explore a romantic relationship (dating) in depth.
5) I havent watched many cdramas, so I may not be the best person to answer this. Out of the mainstream (?) cdramas that are basically romcoms.. yeah, this is darker. More intense. But I've never seen a chinese crime drama before, so I dont know how this stacks up against others in its own genre. But one thing thats good is that this drama has some tasteful funny moments that suit the drama's tone for some entertaining balance.
..... i need a reunion πππ do cdramas ever get 2 seasons? π the ending was perfect but also not enough…
And a second season would be perf, perf fanservice and all π Even its just a special episode or something ahhh. Like we could have a season of them breaking more crimes in Laos (?) Together, and potentially facing new challenges and setbacks. Perhaps with international crime, related laws there, culture, etc.
..... i need a reunion πππ do cdramas ever get 2 seasons? π the ending was perfect but also not enough ahhh. My heart cant deal with this ahhhhh. I feel like i got teased the whole drama. Even though we obviously know they love each other and will most likely be together as their jobs allow it... I wanted to witness it
Perfect ending in my head, but my sappy self that squeals every time they get in a frame together.... cant handle this hahaha
Ahh praise you, thanks for posting/translating! This makes a lot of sense. C:Although in re: #6.... I am 100%…
Ahahahah yes!! I was squealing at that ahahaha. And the boss' face like "... lmao ofc". It's funny because it's actuslly her just trying to wriggle her way out of sticky situations but doing it in a great way ahaha

Yess with him holding Coco in his arms, speaking softly, half almost as if to confirm the situation, half because of his devastation. He looked so.. haunted in that scene ;n;
Oh my lord, all the scenes with Coco in them early on were a riot π and all the comedic moments are also in good taste in terms of tone too-- sometimes I find myself a little put off or jarred by humor in some crime or serious dramas-- but this definitely stays consistent and cohesive

Oh yes! I actually already watched up to 20 in raws, but my Chinese skills are v v poor (like.. basic conversational level ahaha), but it was so good indeed. I couldnt contain myself ahaha.
... that hospital scene with Coco gutted me :cccc so simple and pure and.. almost unrealistically happy for this drama. ... only to be left on that cliffhanger ahhh
But ah, yeah, that pretty much is nail in coffin then :c Can't imagine China would want to suggest any other option than those two either.

Ahahah yeah, admittedly, from a writing standpoint... it's hard to come up with a way with them to miraculously end up together... cast away their pasts and present and whatnot. π i also usually enjoy bittersweet/open ending dramas... as long as the ride there gives us plenty of emotional candy to make up for it. Good chunks of heartfelt and intimate scenes please ahaha. Heart to hearts and the like.
some informative tidbits from q&a with scriptwriter on douban:1. they had to cut a lot from the first 8 episodes;…

Although in re: #6.... I am 100% down for realistic dramas and being faithful to the picture of a beautiful and moving type of love that may not be the most typical... aka bittersweet endings--but why does that comment also give me the feeling that there is indeed not going to be a happy ending for our two leads together? .. crai I'm too invested in these two ahaha
Ahh episodes 15-16 look so good from the previews πIt's been so long since I've felt like finishing a Chinesr…
And I'm gonna be so upset if the leads dont get together somehow or if they dont give us some scenes where they truly understand each other and bond ahhhhh
I'm rewatching this drama, partly out of procrastination, and partly to see/relive this drama I watched in my early teens, aha. The plot is... not great, I still skipped scenes like I did back then, but it's such a cute, feel good drama overall. There's something so magical about this kind of pure, bright, music-filled drama. It's so high-teen-y, but also so cute in a guilty pleasure kind of way. c: despite all the characters being king of dumb and pure and unrealistic, the plot being cliche and lackluster and nonsensical at times, sometimes the purity is so nice to see. transports me to a fantasy world of sorts.
and the characters are still likable and endearing as well, despite it all-- which isn't always the case with these types of dramas.
.. i love the ost too, and that opening cut scene + song will always be my favorite. one thing I absolutely loved about Taiwanese dramas were their opening/closing clips. this one just radiates bright, hopeful, youthful, happy, carefree energy and freedom. so bright that it could actually probably make me cry on a more sensitive day lmao.
.... i'm also reminded of why chris wu was basically in every popular t-drama back then looool. I don't remember too much about his other dramas, but he really pulled off this type of character. definitely felt like a bit of a teenager again, aha. pulls off the cool, casual, yet dorky and dedicated kind of guy really well aha. his character really goes on a journey in this drama, and it was wonderful to see him go through the range of emotions.
Whoa the synopsis/premise (and cast!!) sound really cool. Not too sure about the writer, but I really hope this is a good one! This, I think? Will be Kwak Do Won's return to the small screen, which is a nice treat. It'll also be great to see Dujun on screen again, in a potentially more realistic and serious? drama. Even though the drama is labelled as comedy, alongside it, I still think that this drama will have some more serious themes that'll be interesting to see Dujun act in and the script portray.
Not sold yet. The writing and directing seem... out of date, in a sense. Even the action scenes are very old school wuxia or Stormtrooper-y. Not really my style. I won't go on, but we'll see how the next episodes go. Things could very well change.

Huh, I'm guessing Evil Minds didnt resolce its main plot?
Yes, we'll hope though! β‘

At least we'll all be sobbing together
