I'm really enjoying this-- theres some aspects I def had to overlook, but the characters are super engaging and likeable overall! Exciged for more here
Does anyone know the likelihood of a second season here? I juat finished ep 1 and even though I dont remember anything from the manga, I'm feeling all the giddiness and excitement that I remember from many years ago reading it. So cute and lovely-- would love to see a sequel, but not familiar with how likely that is for jdramas + what popularity would warrant it + within what time period we would usually know
Really enjoyed this more than I was expecting! Loved the main couple--didnt feel like the romance came out of nowhere or anything: it's made clear pretty early on that it'd be a major driving plotline. Love how character driven this all was, even if the initial premise and some of the subsequent conclusions were a taaaad trite, but it's all with such heart--and makes sense with the characters-- that it really lands.
Has a lot of heart despite everything! Would love a season 2 to have them build off this and have.. what I assume is more of the manga plotline? Even thougu I know it's unlikely, the cast is so very endearing

Wholly agree with your review!! So much to love about the series but also key flaws. As an actual story, sure, not phenomenal, but the immersion and feelings were so visceral. Loved it despite everything!
i need him as a lead in another romance drama ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ i still think about 'i dont love you yet' 🥲 and the potential if it was er slightly written differently his performance was so good there ahhh pleaseee
i didn't watch the korean version so i'm a bit confused.. when suzuki asked misa "are you going to make the same…
It's deliberately vague / double meaning, but to Misa, she probably thinks Suzuki just means in general, like... her decisions so far getting her to this point / being engaged to Tomoya, staying friends with Reina, etc. After all, it's a series of decisions that landed her even to this point. But to her psyche, it has a deeper meaning that she thinks only she knows, which is why she kinda blows up
I cannot wait for the new episode and has rewatched again from 1st episode. Maybe i will rewatch incurable case…
Haha yes please do!!! Especially er since I didnt like it as much as this lol, it satiated my appetite for a romance yet still got me excited for this haha
Bruh I binged An Incurable Case of Love that Takeru Satoh is also in while waiting for this week, and then went back to catching up to ep 4 of this.. and I'm really impressed. He really _feels_ different here. Which sounds basic, but a lot of actors who do romances cant do that. The way his face moves feels different, his expressions, essence and energy, and voice all are different...even the way he softens up for the FL is different. even though the characters arent exactly dramatically night and day--both are serious with weight, and as such, a lot of actors have a singular "serious guy" face...but you can still really feel the difference in his performance. Ah cant wait for more
Bro this looks so good 😠japanese dramas are on a tear these past few years especially, ahh so excited
Is anyone here familiar with the original novel? I'm curious what the original plot was and if there was significant romance, etc. haha. Esp since acc to Takeru, he was so drawn into the novel many years ago
Interested in this-- honestly, not a huge fan of the plot and dialogue--inherently is a little bit cliche at times, but the actors and directing here are really drawing me in! First 2 episodes were solid and fun The original version never appealed to me, so I never watched it, but excited to see where this one goes!
I really hope Hosu finds out sooner rather than later about them switching. I personally dont love added drama with identity like this because it introduces too much unnecessary emotional back and forth imo. It's a trope that I feel can get extended for too long. Him finding out sooner, potentially revealing it, and them working together from there and through all theor past misunderstandings and reconciling who they are now with past them.. that's more interesting than "ooo im feeling things for mirae??? I thought i liked miji! Oh wow mirae is so rude to her sister, etc etc"
Wowow I did not watch the Korean version but this has me in a chokehold so far... love the diff depictions of…
Does anyone who watched the og version know if it had such an artsy vibe? I was trying to figure out why I wasnt interested in the Korean ver when I saw screenshots / trailers (from when it was blowing up) and why this drew me in so hard... and I do think its the artsy, poetic / indie vibes that come from this one? Curious if it was in the og ver as well and i just didnt see it
Wowow I did not watch the Korean version but this has me in a chokehold so far... love the diff depictions of relationships here. I really do foolishly hope for a happy ending w ML and FL but regardless.. glued to my seat! Executed so well so far!
Started this on a complete whim after seeing the poster-- very pleasantly surprised! Noy a huge fan of the third-person narration, but other aspects really make up for it! Love the two lead actors as well!
Love how character driven this all was, even if the initial premise and some of the subsequent conclusions were a taaaad trite, but it's all with such heart--and makes sense with the characters-- that it really lands.
