Ahhh this looks so interesting! I grew up with my parents speaking a lot of Shanghainese, so listening to good Shanghainese speakers makes my ears super happy 😊 But my Chinese isnt good enough to reslly catch onto all the plot,even if I know the dialect, so Ill have to wait for subs too.. however long that takes lol. I hope those come out on top of the Shanghainese ver primarily!
ah i think about this drama at least once a week, haha. my number one most anticipated drama of next year fr. these leads and this director are truly a combination i didnt expect but am so pleased and excited for!!

Yeahhhh, I tried this without any prep going in, just because I found the cover and synopsis interesting, but found out pretty soon it was related to One Spring Night and... definitely feel it lacks a bit in acting and directing quality. It doesnt have the pauses and pensive breaths that made the original such an amazing drama. Some of the cuts and pacing are odd too. I dont really get to feel any of the dialogue. I also was not convinced that ML really felt fondly for the FL soon after meeting her (that handwashing scene? Instant ick :( ) to look at her WeChat profile and story with that kind of warm curiosity. Not really a convincing start, but willing to give it a shot still, esp since I was looking forward to that vet x florist setup haha, and was curious about the "complicated family" situation they had here.
I'm so into sports dramas. 🥲 Especially with a tadddd of romantic undertones (done tastefully)-- dont know if this dramall have it, but it's so fun and cute so far!
I'm so so pleasantly surprised by this drama!! Started on a whim, but absolutely love the main couple and character building, especially for the main female lead! We normally dont get female characters this fleshed out, even if theyre the leads. Love love it, despite some aspects being a liiitle far fetched: it's just so loveable and the chemistry all the characters have together is so great. Really impressed with the main actors' performance too. Both leads are executing their characters to a T!
Would love for him to find a great melo script & production to be part of as a main character!! Haven't seen that side of him in a while and he'd definitely take the depth and weight of that genre sooo well in stride.

On episode 25, and after reading some spoilers here... are they really not going to have Xiaobo and Qiqi be together? I hope they at least appear as very good friends / life partners at the end... that's how they feel to me. :(((
Qiqi and Xiaobo are truly at home with each other. The Cantonese scene, the goldfish scene... they're so comfortable, honest, and always making each other better, making sure they're rowing in the same direction. They're too perfect together.
Wow, I just watched the first episode and this is truly unmatched in akl the cdramas I've ever seen. The main leads were selected so well, the directing fits to a T... super excited for this. I really do hope they dont give us a sad or too open ending, as is the way with too many more deep, realistic dramas. So beautiful!
