Title Lost
Does this view as an adult ‘13 reasons why’, to anybody else?
This properly highlights the complex causation between the high suicide rates in Korea and asphyxiating societal construct.
This is not a happy ditty, but a true melodrama of highest calibration.
This doesn’t mean there is only gloom in the doom, we may be heading towards only one possible outcome- but it also highlights living, and why we perpetuate living.

It’s not the rain, it’s stepping into a warm home, perfectly soaked.
As so aptly put ‘ it’s the sitting down, after running’, it’s not the Winter chill, but the crisp breath of air.
This is how this drama counts happiness, it takes you involuntarily, uninvited, that sharp pang of crisp air has unbidden joy to it.
It’s there.
Everything is ‘same’ - but living is hidden in the details.

There is living in everything we do, no matter how ‘same’ and grayscale our inner selves are.
Living- just happens, if you have the ability to look for it.

Sometimes you need to be taught - this drama has the ability to TEACH.

It’s not ‘to Love’ - it’s the racing heart, it’s taking off at such a pace, that your shirt ruffles with every thud.

This is a solid 8.5, where as One and Only is closer to a 9.5 for me.
One and only was impossible to put down, like a good book. Forever and Ever cemented for me, why I don’t like modern drama as much as historical.
To me, modern drama struggles to perpetuate intrigue, where as historical societal restrictions provide intrigue without convoluted plot points.
History was harsh and people lived as Mayflies.

For shame!
Rate this higher, this instant!
Lost, Cha Cha Cha and You Raise Me Up are easily the best soul remedies available right now.
Cry a little, laugh a little, it’s the same prescription as that from the Therapists office, only cheaper and far more effective!

1st Historical drama I ever watched. Even though I FF majority of it, I still loved it. Only watched this to have…
Watch the Long Ballad. It has the most viewer comments on MDL.

Can we watch it without seeing the first historical part ? ONE AND ONLY ?
I wouldn’t. One and Only is beautiful. This has it’s charms too, most definitely, but the first drama captures your heart and doesn’t let you go.

King of ‘no kiss’ contract, is now kissing, is he having marital problems in the time of cOvid? As so many others. I know it sounds extreme, but he’s worked SO MUCH during covid, has had SO MANY dramas out recently, and now he’s having kiss scenes, you get strange thoughts. Anything in China’s gossip?

It was filmed during the Pandemic. So there were restrictions in place. They also wished to pay homage to the Manhua in special key scenes that were iconic. But you’d be hard pressed to find many battle scenes filmed in May 2020. It was a compromise which allowed for some fantastic hand to hand combat choreo.

Something like 'wearing dark cloaks in the daytime, if you're trying to conceal identity, is terrible writing, and I cannot suspend my belief for it'

It goes beyond that, TLB is the only drama she picks apart for choice of daytime cloak colours however. The pettiness in herTLB review was shocking. You can tell she wanted to dislike it before she got passed ep1. She was picking apart the scene where Sun and friends take cloaks off to reveal Chang’an clothing. The fact that the cloaks were dark and not light, ruined it for her and set the tone for the whole drama.

Hi again!
I’m subbed to her.
I saw her TLB review, and she said it wasn’t worth watching because it asked her to suspend belief in a way she couldn’t - she used Sun and his mates using dark cloaks, in the daytime in Chang’an as an example of terrible drama choices. She kept going on about pointless things about that, that’s when I realised who I’m dealing with here. She IDOLISES BL, fetishises it. She thought that Coroner drama was the best thing airing, at the time. If you look at her review, she watches some stuff with passion, that’s impossible to stomach for very long, and she loves that stuff! If you’re subbed you’ll realise what her tastes are, other than a couple of obvious fantastic dramas, she likes cringe stuff, a lot. I was surprised when she gave Miss Dragon a bad review, put it that way.

I like Shawn Dou, but nothing of his has been to my taste, since Princess Agents, which is his best work. The voice actor is very good in this, that really helps.
This has taken me by surprise, not immediately, but 5 or so episodes in and you will experience your own humanity, through the storyline.
I normally don't watch this kind of thing, but this is NOT grief as a plot device, it is a story about grief and how people who still have life, have to continue to walk forward.
I've watched eighteen eps in 2 days, this is not typical for me either, but as we all have grief experience, it kept me turning these pages.

Ratings dropped, still "on-holding" it after watching parts of ep. 1. Anyway, HE or SE?I just caught an old anime…
I thought first 4 eps were trash, then I wasn't laughing anymore. Grief should be a major tag here, and I've submitted it, awaiting approval and votes to include it. This is a drama about Grief and how people cope with it, and don't cope with it.

I'm on ep11, so far this is a drama about grief.
About people coping, and not coping.

I'm still crying at parts, or I'm at least moved, because you keep walking, because you have legs, and you keep living, because you were granted life, and it hurts to breathe, every single step of the way.
Tears become too big and heavy to contain within eyes that are too dry, too chafed from crying.

This is definitely not using grief as a plot device to get to the kissing. They may eventually fall, but that has so far not been the point of it.
Life is happening right now, and if they love each other one day, it's because life happens to those who have to keep on living.
On Tears in Heaven Jul 4, 2021
First 3-4 eps I really MOCKED this drama.
I'm now on ep10 and I've actually cried, a lot.
Maybe because I've lost people, maybe this sends me back to those moments, I don't know.

This isn't great, but what grief does to people, is very real.

hahaha i feel you, rather regret that you did it than because you didn't!
When someone makes you feel some kinda way, this kinda way, it's real.
It might not go beyond 3 months and chafed genitalia, but you'll remember the chafing fondly, you;ll remember you once felt passion, long, long after it's left you.

You'll have epic love stories, sure, but it's these brief heavily charged moments that stay with you, because you always knew it was fleeting, so you felt MORE and faster.
It's like before a big thunderstorm, and the air is charged, the air between you is also charged, two people alone on planet Unsatisfied Sexual Tension.

Most people have a heavy relationship at some point.

These charged relationships, where it's pure hormones and you can't get enough of each other, where it's instant attraction and it's mutual, this is rare. Nothing needs to grow, because it's already there.

It's OK to act on it, the Universe has tagged you and it's your turn!

Girls and ladies, I'm 40 somehow and I've lived a little.

When you stumble upon someone that's fire, take the chance and cherish the experience.
There will come a day, when all you have are memories of youth.
I will tell you right now, from my perspective,
you only regret chances you didn't take.

You've got this one life, this one meat suit Avatar, to drive around for a limited amount of time, so kit it out as you wish, tattoo it, pierce it and have the relationships that cause you to burn hot.
One day, you may be a parent, or a jaded old cow,
but be a jaded old cow of a parent, who fcked THAT GUY
because that's NOT the thing you'll regret.

You're just going to have to take my word for it.
Sincerely,
Jaded old cow of a parent, who fcked THAT GUY

Is it worth to watch?
I don't like Lakorn, and I'm liking this.
Normally the genre is too cringe for me, but this is just right.
Replying to ktiehouse Jul 2, 2021
Does the ML portrayal the innocent/clingy male type who chases after the older woman?
No, kismet is at work. They're kind of running into each other as well, but not in a trope kind of way. It's more tragic than classic trope.
He's inadvertently there at her dark times, and that has a reason to it too.
On I Need Romance Jul 2, 2021
I don't even like Lakorn, but this is honestly quite good.
I never even check them out, but it was something, I don't know, the ages of the leads I guess? I was 33 when I met the father of my child, who's the same lead as the ML.
I was also very, very jaded.
So I guess that was what made me check it out, at least.

These two genuinely have something, it works because they both have 'it', they're not just attractive or anything like that.
You could easily tell why they're attracted to each other, despite an age difference that, from experience, can actually be quite large, at that age, when one person is in their mid 20s and the other towards mid 30s.

This is good though, and I've only enjoyed a handful Lakorn, very few.

The intro is very good, it really sets the tone and the drawings are beautiful.
I felt like 'this was me in my 30s', the events unfolding are very life like too.
On Ancient Love Poetry Jun 27, 2021
17 up, it's better.

Is it in the top 10 of it's genre? No.
Are other much worse dramas rated higher? Certainly.

I'm a bit tired of the 'good guy falls for good girl' trope.
I got my fill, and done well, in Love and Destiny.

I don't like Xu Kai's character enough.
God of War in LaD fit like a glove, had they given Xu Kai more to work with in this, it'd be less what it is. FL wasn't given much either.

If you want to watch Xu Kai in this type of role, watch The Legends.
Want to watch basically this drama, more or less, go watch Ni Ni in Love and Destiny.
