I decided to watch the end of this series today and I will agree the ending was pretty meh. Everything was so…
It just seems like such an utterly pedestrian, and in the words of A'sun 'boring' ending, to have it end in a banal, everyday, run of the mill ending.
That's just not them, that's not any of them.
You don't get the 'after', you just get to see how people found each other, and how they ended the constant wars. This is not the story of their life, it's a snippet. They're still young, they got time now, because they enabled all young lovers to have time, nobody is going to war and dying needlessly.
Their beginnings are a beautiful kaleidoscope, It doesn't end in 'pregnant, barefoot, by the stove' Not for anyone. Nobody wanted to reduce these individuals that way.
We know they're all having babies, but why do we need to be spoon-fed that, like infants who cannot feed ourselves.
The ending didn't belittle our intelligence. It instead asked us to 'fill in the blanks, ya'll went to school!'
Having everything spelled out, would be too pedestrian, Xia Da didn't write boring, everyday characters.
It's just not in character.
The great part is though, this encourages fanfiction, for those who really want the average ending. With everything neatly wrapped up.
It's not about finding time, it's about whats out of character, and what's in character.
Nope. I won’t say that i love the ending. It was kinda a little confusing to me
Go to the ending. Pause frames.
Where is A'sun at? Where is Chang Ge at? Grasslands.
There is an eagle in each frame. Has it flown thousands of kilometers? or is it more likely A'sun's eagle has just flown maybe a kilometer or two, to check on Chang Ge, who's out patrolling the land, while Sun is on Tegin duty during the day.
She's wearing a mix of farming and travelling attire, She's officially dead to Tang and by her clothing alone, lives in the Eagle Khaganate.
Her clothing is symbolic, as is his. Those are the clothes she wears in the Manhua. She turns into Manhua Chang Ge, at the final frame. The Manhua book closes. You were a reader, who read their story.
Overall is excellent but the ending kinda confusing or should I say it ended without a clear end for ML and FL…
They're both in the Grasslands. It doesn't take much of a leap, to understand they're together.
Nothing about it is open ending. He's even so close by, that he can send an eagle to keep an eye on her.
She calls him husband, to her mother's spirit tablet. He has placed a letter of marriage proposal at her mother's spirit tablet. The Emperor has given his blessing. Ancient marriage, is a symbol of filial piety towards parents, you bow to them, they don't have any parents anymore. They sit and discuss ceremonies, and she says, since they're orphans, she doesn't NEED the ceremony. His third wish is clearly, to put a baby in her. He says ' We have a lot of time yet'
They're technically dead, don't have to show filial piety to anyone.
I liked the character development the FL had, I liked the ML, I liked the second couple, I liked other things…
Leo has kissed exactly nobody, in his 17 years of acting. He has no kiss preference. The manhua this is based on, has zero romance, in fact, it ends on the note that the ML realises he could possibly marry the FL? Now that she's not a dude. No romancing doesn't mean it's not ROMANTIC, this drama is romantic as F. Old school romance, where it was about how people FELT, the lengths they went to prove their emotional connection, and it wasn't about kissing. Now, dramas are rated, by some, after if it's 7 kisses? 3? 15? and the drama's are substance lacking and soulless.
I'd rather have a good tragic ending, where somebody dies, than a terrible kiss, which is the strange kind they gave Mimi and Mujin. If you watch the bts, you'll see how shy ML is around intimacy. It explains a lot.
IF you want a drama built around kissing, I recommend Eternal Love, not 10 miles of peach blossoms, although that's good, and not Eternal Love of Dream, which also is built around physical intimacy, but that OTHER Eternal Love, that has a second and soon a third season?
I was overall pleased with the ending. I feel no need at all to witness a wedding between A'Sun and Changge. One…
I don't know if you saw Game of Thrones, but Yicheng is to Chang Ge, what Cersei was to Daenerys. History could very well have repeated itself. Chang Ge turns around at the fork in the road, Daenerys kept going.
Leo, engine failingWe need to employ a fulltime subber, for all of thesehttps://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1vU4y187MX/?spm_id_from=333.788.recommend_more_video.2
