Title Our Youth
9.5/10

" In the vast sea, how likely is it that a lost fish gets to reunite with it's shoal!"

At its heart, this drama is all about the characters - their struggles, growth and the quiet, powerful moments that shape them. It relies heavily on what is unspoken and unsaid rather than grand gestures.

Hirukawa shaped by trauma and abuse, presents as a rebellious delinquent, internally struggling with feelings of unworthiness. His meeting with Minase shifts him towards healing, with Minase’s acceptance helping him realize he deserves love. Minase starts as a passive observer, living up to societal expectations, but his growing affection for Hirukawa encourages his own self-discovery and confronts his fears.
Together, they create a safe space for growth and healing, transcending societal expectations with vulnerability and strength.

Overall, this heartfelt exploration of growth, vulnerability, and healing is raw, hopeful, and recommended for a binge-watch experience.

I do not like the princess lin an because she is stupid but the comments are telling me to be patient. jealousy…
I agree. For me, she is also the weakest link till now. It is not because of FL's acting (NO SHADE TO FL) but the story has alot going on and romance just looks abit forced !

But we still have 20 more eps to go. Let's see how they play this out

I agree. I would prefer the romance be more low key here and focus more on ML solving crimes. I'll get my romance…
Lol I ain't watching that because can't do 2 airing dramas at a time 🙈🙈 but hope it serves the romance well and you enjoy 😁❤️

Thank you for this. I was about to stop watching because it's trying too hard to be funny and missing the mark…
It does start getting serious gradually via still keeping funny elements. Right now the highlight for me is camderie between Guardians and how Qian is handling investigative cases. If I remember correctly, it started getting serious from ep 7 or 8.

I hope you will enjoy it if you still continue to watch it :))

I'm glad they finally cleared up the misunderstandings about the princess. Even though it wasn't the main focus of the drama, it was starting to get kind of annoying!

Honestly, I’m not that interested in the romance right now. I don’t see much of it yet, but with 22 more episodes, I’m sure they’ll bring it in. Hopefully, they keep it low-key like they have done until now. This is no shade to FL or her acting but right now too much is happening where Qian is involved and to him slacking off to focus on romance is something I am not looking forward to

What I’m really enjoying is how the tone of the drama is slowly shifting. It went from being funny and goofy to having a more serious, plot-driven vibe. The twists are getting so interesting and plot is getting deeper!
Hopefully they will keep up and finish strong!

I totally agree. Going in with tempered expectations won't even work, I think. The beginning is so exciting that…
Yeah compared to the start, the ending was definitely disappointing in my books. But atleast it entertained for majority of the part

The villains were honestly too weak for a drama that has thriller as one of the top genres. They all randomly…
I agree! 😂 The whole kidnapping thing, the reveal , the real Sa Eon. ..Lol. But atleast we were entertained! 😁

The drama had all the right elements to be a good mystery-thriller but unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to its initial premise. The first half had me completely hooked but by the end, I felt kind of let down by the lacklustre conclusions and rushed pacing. Don't get me wrong, its wit's far from being terrible but definitely a disappointment, especially when you compare it to the intrigue and mystery that were introduced early on.

As a romance drama, I would give it a much higher rating but a drama where the first two genres are mentioned as mystery and thriller, it was just not it.

I’ve never seen Xu Pingzhi that happy. His grin was priceless when the beauty started dancing! 😂😂

Also, the family dynamics is so wholesome and funny! ❤️🤡

Thoughts after 4 episodes (Tried to make it as general as possible without spoilers):

✅ Dylan is a whole mood here. I'm loving the energy and vibe. The mix of humor and mystery (detective-ish) is just right. The humor doesn't feel slapstick to me.
✅ The characters are also intriguing. The family dynamics are chaotic in the best way possible. Lol had me laughing especially the first two episodes. Love the bond between him and his sisters 🥺❤️
✅ The visuals were nice with some really gorgeous landscapes. The costumes and makeup were on point too.
⚠️ Special effects? Hmmmm they feel okay to me. Not the best out there but definitely not the worst! Hoping they get better in the next episodes!

Overall, the first 4 episodes were really fun and I am all sat! Definitely excited to see where it goes from here!
