So in the novel ML has multiple wifes?? how many?? children??? FL is the first wife?? the novel begin with her…
Hahaha that's okay. Ning Ming Jie was the SML in the novel that our FL is reading. He is supposed to fall for the FL inside the novel Wen Wan, but he falls for our FL instead lol. It is very chaotic and then he goes a lil crazy too
I know this drama lacks so much the but hate here is too much especially for the female lead and characters. Most…
Exactly. It's almost like people forget that these are children, a group of teenagers, just trying to find their footing in this messed up world. I find it very ironic that very little is being said about the adults in this show, which is a bigger concern to me. The storylines revolving around the adults were so contrived and for the lack of a better word, snoozeworthy, that you would keep wanting to just go back to the kids, which for me at least, is a huge win in their book.
The female student who gives birth in the bathroom, i hope they the side story of her. i don't know but my heart…
IKR! Her entire situation was so heartbreaking, home girl gave birth all on her own in a zombie apocalypse and still had the presence of mind to ensure her baby's safety. Such a profound character. I wish she didn't turn.
This On Jo is supposed to be the main character and one of the survivors? All she's good for is moping around…
I genuinely think it has more to do with the portrayal and less with the writing, because I personally could not get used to On Jo's character at all. While she was definitely a damsel in distress most of the time, there was something about the actress's portrayal that made it quite unsympathetic. I almost can't put my finger on what it was exactly, but On Jo pales in comparison to her peers because of it, which in a different case might have made her a more likeable character. We must remember though, that all these characters are archetypes that fit a certain type of person in this genre, which is why it might get tiring. It's just unfortunate that we have her as the character with the most screentime.
i wish we could've seen more about soo-hyuk and nam-ra's background or even their family. i feel that would've…
I actually think we were better off not knowing about Su Hyuk and Nam Ra's backgrounds in this season for a very important reason which is a little something that is called the concept of 'negative space.' There's a reason why watchers always form attachments with secondary leads, or supporting characters. Because they have a limited amount of time to make an impact, and hence, we convince ourselves to treat every scene of theirs as the most important, even compelling us to read even more into their story. Had Nam Ra and Soo Hyuk's stories been unraveled, there wouldn't be much left for the audience to want to return to in the rare chance that a second season happened.
That being said, we most certainly could have benefited from more screentime for both of them, their development, while tastefully done and well acted, was most definitely rushed, and it would have been much more natural for them to get together over the course of a few more episodes. If we do end up getting a second season, and if the actors agree to return, it will most definitely be based around these two.
And although they show that NOJ comes to like him, I don't see it tbh, so no to that too.
Oh boy did she xD
Best part of the article although I loved all of it. Great job!
