They use the opening instrumental from NU'EST's Let Me Out as the opening for this show and it always takes me back to A Korean Odyssey. Such a good song!

I couldn't believe my eyes while watching every single moment of this drama and seeing the million adaptations here, now I understand exactly why this story is so f*cked up.

For a lakorn released in 2020, they really set all their characters in the previous century. It was like watching a high speed train go careening down the tracks and set fire to a nearby village. The horror is insane but you can't look away from it.

All men in this drama deserve a fate worse than death, yes Tom, you too. And seriously @everyone who was shipping Ja and Thong despite the world of abuse, get yourselves checked please. You need help.

Someone mentioned that this lakorn is not a forgettable one, and I for one definitely agree. It will stay with me forever. The synths in the OST will play on loop in my nightmares.

Can someone please explain the scene where JJh drinks something, kisses his lover and stabs her because I'm assuming…
He makes her drink a poison that kind of slows her heart rate down so much she's practically dead but not really, much like Romeo and Juliet style.

The stabs were real but they were made in a way to not inflict damage to vital organs

They really could have benefited from the entire cast and crew sitting down together and watching earlier adaptations of this story. Sure, creative freedom exists and should be exercised, but always within reasonable means IMHO.

Aside from it being a blatant cash grab/fan service, (not that it's a bad thing, get your coin folks!) there is hardly anything that makes this adaptation memorable. That does not mean that it isn't watchable, far from it in fact. It definitely has its moments, but those are few and far in between.

From past adaptations though, I must say Punn's character is certainly an upgrade here. I have grown to love Lee's poised yet playful portrayal of him, which makes it baffling to see how everyone treats him within the story. I am looking forward to the more heartbreaking moments that are to come in his arc.

The music is fantastic, and I absolutely love the detailed baking scenes that show the love and care going into the process of making every treat. Cannot comment on the accuracy of that, but I must say, those scenes made me get up and bake something, even though I would say I don't have a sweet tooth xD

Came here to see this while waiting for new episodes of the Thai version and wow, this 13 year old film was everything that the drama will never be.

Kim Jae Wook nailed his role as the Gay Conquerer. Here is where I could buy every single character's motivations and actions, with such a tight runtime too, whereas ironically, the Thai version is just a mess.

I was down bad for the Jin Hyuk x Sun Woo ship here gosh! Joo Ji Hoon and Kim Jae Wook killed it together.

But correct me if I'm wrong, In the end, they didn't catch the perpetrator right? They just saved the little boy
The perpetrator in the current times was a copycat killer. They caught the current dude and put him in jail.
As for the old guy, I think he gave up kidnapping after Jin Hyuk escaped and lived his miserable life just like we saw him. So I guess, yes, they didn't get the original guy, but there was closure involved for everyone.

I'm on episode 4 and don't get me wrong, Singto is an absolute sweetheart, but I just can't buy him playing the role of Weir, it's a miscast. Same goes for Lee. Man is way too handsome and charming for everyone to continue likening him to a sadistic serial killer. I am all for defying conventional beauty standards, and I understand such series ask for the audience to suspend their beliefs to a certain extent, but how am I supposed to continue being immersed when Punn is being bullied like that for his looks?

It's not even funny, it's just weird. And don't even get me started on how problematic Weir is as a character.

Thank you for checking out our article ^^ I agree - I remember completing One More Time and then looking at the…
It was a lovely article, I completely forgot to mention that in my haste to give this gem a shout-out.

I love the little list you've compiled here so painstakingly. Would definitely also recommend all the episodes of Till Death Do Us Part.

And yes, I completely share your sentiments regarding One More Time. It was so disappointing to see all those comments in the show's MDL page, I almost felt like I watched a different story altogether, or maybe I read too much into it, leading myself to think it was better than it was. But seeing it being mentioned here gave me hope haha. I absolutely love everything about it and could honestly go on for ages about every little detail. This is how I make use of my degree LMAO.

Don't know whether I should feel proud or ashamed of myself for calling out every single plot point in advance. Nevertheless, it was a pretty enjoyable watch in a so-bad-it's-good kinda way.

The ML is a borderline sex offender and should have gone to jail with the bitchy sister though. They're truly a match made in hell.

Your reasoning makes perfect sense. However, (only if you think the story warrants another look) I would humbly suggest giving it a second chance.

This is the lead actress's debut project so she reasonably lacks the skills that all the veterans here have. Objectively speaking, the FL's character does mature rather fast, and I think you'd find it likeable how fast the conflicts are resolved here that would otherwise take tens of episodes in a conventional weekend drama.
