#ShakesHead I started reading the book this afternoon to alleviate my frustrations.

Yes, I am aware it is. Needed some respite away from my frustration and disappointment at the writing of what could have been a great drama, so turned to the original.

They’re only hidden until around 4.15pm UK time until they drop the latest episodes. They do this every day.

Oh really? WTAF. 36 episodes in and they have the audacity to drop that shit on us.

Let's talk about Boris. (Not Johnson, as unfortunately, we have a total liar, blagger and fuckwit as a Prime Minister). I missed him in my resume below, simply because his vile personality pissed me off so much. However, the revelation as to how Montgomery loved him so much did in fact change and start to bring redeeming graces to his character.

Yeh right! MZTV, the official station for the drama, has been dropping 4 episodes daily on YouTube around 4.15pm UK time. There's absolutely no point waiting for Viki. Now with the final episodes we're moving into 1 episode daily.

I'm entitling ep 33-36 'The Perseverance of a true warrior'. These are my thoughts. However, before I get to Jiang Qian Fan, lets address the rest:

Lin Ke Song must have won the World Guinness Book record for the fastest fridge grow back ever recorded. #Funny #Snigger

Elise, you fucking devil witch. How could you watch him in the kitchen, blindfolded, chopping vegetables and actually, actually even consider being able to sleep at night. Blows my mind.

Lin Xiao Yu was always going to spiral out of control. Damn, that bitch literally and figuratively crashed and burned. #Karma

Song Yi Ran, is so getting his shit together. Matured hugely over the past eight or so episodes. Respect.

I have zero interest in Victor and bike girl romance. However, huge respect to the man for helping her through her anorexia. However, I've never seen an anorexic, who actually didn't look in the slightest bit anorexic. Found this weird. Most FL in C-dramas look more anorexic than her.

If they believe Li Yan poisoned Jiang Xian Fan, why didn't the writers bring back Nina? Strange. We need a hashtag for the final episodes #BringBackNina.

Adored the way Lin Xiao Yu's ma and pa came together to support the family at the restaurant in their time of need. Made my heart sore. Also the dialogue at the hospital whilst Lin Xiao Yu pretended to sleep. She's on her way back to finding herself. Also loved how her parents supported her choice to be with Oliver knowing he's blind. Finally a Chinese family who respects and supports their ADULT children's choices in life.

I can honestly say I've probably watched over 1,000 Asian dramas and I've never come across a drama where the writers would wait until the final 4 episodes to bring the bad guys to justice. I find this incredibly strange. It just doesn't make any sense in how an audience enjoys its viewing. There is simply no balance, which inevitably breeds huge frustration, a downfall of this drama.

Now to Jiang Qian Fan (Oliver)

A man who is terrified of being pitied.

Honestly, what a man. His perseverance and sense of resilience faced in such adversity, honestly blows my mind. How many humans could pick themselves up from such a devastation and try to move on?

I find myself transfixed when he smiles - it is truly beautiful.

When he blindfolded himself chopping the vegetables, it really did break my heart. Again, what a man, always trying not to be beaten and defeated. He is literally living a living hell.

That first kiss. Shit. However, he did close his eyes and succumb. That was huge for me.

His love confession to her was utterly beautiful. So honest. So laid bare. So heartfelt.

Honestly, who amongst us could deal with such a life changing life blow? To lose your sight. I closed my eyes for a moment and tried to imagine how he felt. I just couldn't imagine.

Whoop! Whoop! They've literally just updated it and its now showing four:-)

Aw, according to MZTV's YouTube channel, it sadly looks like they're only going to drop two episodes today instead of the usual four:-(

After all, we are simply talking about a drama here, apologies if my brain simply cannot take this seriously from a first life problems point of view. Just too many life affirming things to think about. Such things, I could never, ever take seriously, hope you don't too:-)

@Jshock. I so hear you. They so are going to do a ramming job! Such a disappointment. Me too on Dating in the Kitchen. I so hear you. I absolutely adored it. Have watched it 3-times now and never grow bored and after watching this will watch again at the weekend. Just need to get past ep 1, which is so off putting. I found their journey utterly beautiful and so very well told. This is why I came here with such high expectations. I wanted as Dating in the Kitchen, a beautiful journey of opposites attract told well. The journey they both took to love was utterly beautiful. Respect for her shown from the outset for her cooking. Those sessions where she cooked in her home for him at first purely for money and then just wanting to see him. Him following her to the conference out of jealousy. Him buying things for her home. That's the journey I so desperately wanted to see with this drama. Additionally, beautiful food, food cinematography, respect for someone so young's knowledge and expertise. The growth of FL depicted. The realisation of falling in love with such a person, flirting, utter heartbreak but love from the ML for someone so young and inexperienced, but the knowledge he'd never let her go and then the most beautiful happy ending. Loved it too much.

I also feel your pain. Have come away with perhaps 5% of respite!
