lol, why would the Taiwanese think the Brits have more thieves than the US? They clearly don't know about American…
Haha. Exactly. You Americans love a bit of thieving lol π. Iβd understand if he said, βNo, not the UK, it rains all the time and they love queuing.β Now that I could understand.
Isnβt it good. I too had begun to lose faith in Taiwanese dramas, as none of the recent ones have resonated with me, but this is definitely bringing it. Fingers crossed it continues.
This makes for lovely viewing doesn't it? I find it quite raw and gritty, which captivates my imagination and fits well with my personality.
It gives me the feeling that we could have our next sublime contender for the excellent History Series, but I don't want to jinx it.
This dialogue actually made me laugh out loud. "I've saved up money for you to study abroad, perhaps the U.S., or the UK. No, they say there are too many thieves in the UK." How bloody rude, lol, we're not a nation of thieves, quite the opposite. #Hilarious. Brilliant line.
Ah, and so it concludes. Hiro finally resigned from his job and Kai finally got his man. Was it memorable? I don't think so, however, at least in our final episode we got what we were all patiently waiting for.
Hmmm... I'm not sure what to think about this episode. Was it better than the previous? Yes. Do I embrace the quirkiness of Japanese storytelling by way of being in a relationship and actually deciding to hit a bell to talk / brainstorm any issues between myself and my partner. Absolutely. I found it amusing. It's what makes Japanese dramas so very compelling and original, as with Sakae's dream sequence.
However, as a part of my realistic brain, I just can't see two, grown arse adult males, allegedly in love, sleeping beside each other in separate beds. At the very least, you want to cuddle and hold each other. My brain can't help shouting no, no, no. This would never happen. I think what I'm struggling with is the fact the drama shows not only their communication to be beyond stilted and awkward, which makes me kind of itch, but also that they have absolutely no natural desire or yearning for each other. I find their interactions and intimacy with one another formulaic. There's simply no energy or indeed chemistry to their relationship. It all just falls flat.
I'm not even going to go there with the supposed sex scene. What even was that? We saw more and felt more sexiness and desire in the previous flashbacks between Mizuki and Sakae, which tells me our two leads are diligently following the script, but quite simply, are not into each other and as a viewer, I find they actually can't hide it, which I find disappointing and hugely detrimental to the drama.
Hmmm. π€ Divorce is a serious subject. Murder is a serious subject. Revenge is a serious subject. Law is a serious…
OMG! How very funny! What are the chances of that ever happening?! We appear to be prolific viewers of Asian dramas. Indeed, congratulations to us ππ₯πππ½
This was a surprising watch for me, as I don't usually steer towards ghost led dramas. However, I do like dramas with a medical theme. I thought it was well written. It was engaging throughout. I like the clear development throughout of Cha Young Min's character and the cheeky, quirky depiction of Ko Seung Tak's character. The chemistry between the two and their relationship made for lovely and at times funny viewing.
Contrary what others have said, I think the romance between Cha Young Min and Jang Se Jin was definitely needed. Her love and clear devotion to ensuring he came out of his coma was intrinsic to the story. As was their backstory.

It's an 8/10 for me.
