lol we have very different priorities in entertainment, y'all: how could they forget about the stalker!! of course…
How could you salivate over a shit, forgettable kiss, when the whole premise of the episode was around how incompetent they were to allow an innocent, absolutely terrified woman die at the hands of her abuser? She loved and adored our Fl's mother. All I was thinking is how are they going to keep her alive? I don't give a fuck about the kiss. It wasn't even memorable, hence why I didn't quote about it. All I wanted was for them to keep that terrified girl alive. Not much to ask me thinks. For me, bad, bad, writing.
How can you honestly 'bask in this' as a in your words 'thriving'. Quite the opposite me thinks. #JustSyaing.
There is no romance bro don't waste your time I like ml that's the reason I watch this drama but fl character…
She's obviously still in love with him and him her. I think it is very clear to see. What the writer has done is seriously fuck up the narrative around their love story. He gives 100%, she walks away, again and again. It's tiresome, because actually as humans we wouldn't act this way. If they wrote her as emotionally intelligent, he'd be absolutely the only person she could ever rely upon. FACT.
I really had high hopes for this drama! I love the leads (her: Pandora & Penthouse and loved his character in…
I so hear you on everything you've just posted. My thought process exactly. Love that you've said this too. Question: "Are you living in my brain?"
Like you, I had high hopes for this drama because I absolutely adored Kang Ki Young in Extraordinary Attorney Woo, hence why I'm here for this drama. So very excited to see him in a lead role, because he's a seriously awesome actor, deserves it and especially when it comes to law, as he's shown.
However, he's the driving force of this drama and the only reason I'm still here watching. He absolutely owns his lead role, to the point where I'm thinking he actually asked to write his own script because he far surpasses the writers. #JustSaying
Everything else other than the clients and court cases, I find an absolute travesty by way of writing.
Yes, she would indeed have visitation rights or indeed custody and yes, yet again, we're moving into a K-drama that has 15 minutes of love in its finale.
Let's start with the positives by way of writing. There are parts of this drama that are written beautifully. However, they only ever take place in the narrative from Dong Ki Joon. The man is just so incredibly thoughtful and selfless. Setting up that number so she can call her mother whenever she needs to offload. Having a sense that something wasn't right when he dropped her off at her apartment. Knowing the code to said apartment could be his birthday. That's a man with deep, deep, emotional intelligence and knowledge about the woman he loves.
However, gosh, is this drama seriously frustrating. Your main and potentially only lead into your mothers murder has a serial, dangerous, abusive stalker. Who in their right minds would send a woman, who is not only being stalked but also being followed by your ex's henchman to her apartment on her own? Who? And, this is where I find the writing utterly and totally ridiculous. Added to this, you lost all key evidence in the last episode to Na Yu Mi's murderer by not taking a copy of the disk, at the very least, you'd be extra, extra cautious not to make the same mistake with this prominent witness. It's just totally unbelievable and makes for lazy writing.
I won't even go into the audacity of No Yool Sung turning up at Kim Sa Ra's mother's memorial having arranged for her murder. Or the fact that Kim Sa Ra now knows that No Yool Sung has a hand in her mother's murder. What's the Manager playing at? This feels like yet another unnecessary twist in the drama.
I really dislike how they've written Kim Sa Ra's character. We're at EP 10 tomorrow and I haven't seen even a tiny glimmer of development in her personal character, quite the opposite. They continue to portray her as a weak, coward when it comes to her feelings for Dong Ki Joon and I find the back-and-forth between them makes for boring viewing. I don't even get why she practiced marshal arts as she hardly ever uses it.
Of course, we all know she's not going to re-marry No Yool Sung. Let's call it her master plan to win him over and gain his trust. After all, when it comes to the law and her fiercely bringing opponents down on behalf of her clients, that's the only intelligent part through the writing we've witnessed to-date.
After episode 5:Meh. Another Japanese BL that's OK, but nothing to rave about. This drama is much more about Japan's…
The developing romance has literally taken a back seat in what is a BL. I also can't believe we started hard with a hand job and five episodes later, we're being subjected to boring, boring office abuse and culture. And yes, they're still sleeping separately when realistically, in real life, they'd be banging each others brains out.
Dang,it’s not that serious chill! If you’ve read the manga, they’re doing it EXACTLY like the manga. Hiro…
Exactly this. There's no fucking way any human who received a hand job, wouldn't be fantasising about what's coming next. In fact, he'd be orchestrating situations to ensure something happened.
Dang,it’s not that serious chill! If you’ve read the manga, they’re doing it EXACTLY like the manga. Hiro…
Oh wise human, you always absolutely nail your thought process based on fact. Adore this about you. Always eloquent, always factual. Quite frankly, we started with a hand job and ended with this. WTAF!
Dang,it’s not that serious chill! If you’ve read the manga, they’re doing it EXACTLY like the manga. Hiro…
I'm actually laughing my tits off at how angry people are getting at my post. Why are you typing in capitals, you sound more frustrated than me by the episode. #JustSaying.
What you don't seem to understand by my post is the fact that I'm here for a BL and not to watch 23 minutes of a grown ass male with no balls in a limited 6-episode drama, tapping at a screen and salivating over delicious food. In my opinion, as this is a forum to critique dramas, they should have cut this back.
For your information, I don't actually like Pinoy dramas, in the most part, they're utterly dreadful and Thai dramas are definitely on the decline, due to love of rolling them out like a factory production line.
As I said, this drama started out beautifully, the dialogue between our two leads and the chemistry is indeed wonderful to behold and especially Kai's complicated character. I love how he's been written. However, what I'm saying quite simply is, I feel they've spent far too much time on the office abuse at the detriment of the relationship between our two leads.

I know Japanese always stick religiously to a manga. However, as has been proved in the past, doing this doesn't always translate well to the screen. My frustration lies in the fact that the writer created this beautiful dialogue and chemistry between our two leads only to ruin it with this endless, monotonous office politics and abuse. Who wants to watch 23 minutes of someone tapping at a computer screen and salivating over beautiful food when they're here for a BL?
Yo chill if you really hate the food and working life part of this drama it’s clearly not for you bc thats the…
Fact. This is a forum to critique dramas, whether positive or negative. You're actually talking utter nonsense. This drama is billed as a BL, hence why the romance is definitely not a side plot. If I wanted to watch a drama billed around office politics, culture and abuse I could obviously find it. Any idiot can see that the premise of the story is for Kai to give Hiro the strength to either quit his job or implement boundaries. However, I think the writer has fixated on his workplace culture for far too long at the detriment of the excellent chemistry and dialogue between our two leads. #JustSaying
What a fucking frustrating episode. What the actual fuck is the writer thinking? 25 bloody minutes of watching someone tap at a computer screen and pictures of delicious food. You think that makes for engaging viewing? I'm here for a BL, not a fucking drama about a grown arse man with no balls, being seriously abused by his boss at work. What part of your brain thought this would make for good viewing?
Grow some fucking balls already Hiro. Man the fuck up! Do you not have any brain cells? What part of your damn brain thinks this is normal behaviour in the workplace? Are you a slave?
We literally got 2 minutes of BL at the end and 23 minutes of boring, boring, frustrating viewing.
Grrrr... I can't do another week of this shit. Too annoying.
From what I can recall, his mother set her up based on a convoluted law I don't understand. However, his mother absolutely hated her poor background so found a way to get rid of her.
Oh well now I can't want to get off work and watch the episode 😭! 3 hours to go.
I so hear you on their love journey and I think it will start soon. It will be beautiful to behold:-)
Believe me, there's no way she's going back to that lying, cheating, murderer, bastard of an ex. However, I love that he finally sees her worth and how powerful she's become. I see him in the final episode crying his heart out at what he's lost and all because of his fucked up mother and his fucked up brain.
Our girl has dignity and self-worth. However, I think she's smart enough to play him. I'm thinking she may go back to him to play him.... now that would be interesting don't you think, although heart retching for us as viewers?
Aw, when ex-mother-in-law used her child as a pawn, my heart literally sank and broke for her. How bloody low. I felt her pain and so wanted her to tell Dong Ki Joon what had happened.
Me and you both enjoying this show. It's definitely intriguing. Next week is definitely going to be interesting as more is unveiled about her narcissistic ex and her mother.
Oh well now I can't want to get off work and watch the episode 😭! 3 hours to go.
He's so damn awesome isn't he. I find him so brave and honest about what he wants, how he feels and the fact he's laid his heart on the line to say he'll wait. OMG! His voice may waiver, but he's so fixated on his mission to have his one true love back to him.
Ooh! I like your theory, however, I'm not so sure. Absolutely sublime episode though. Can't wait for next week
