At last, it's over. Completed. Utterly forgettable. Never to be re-watched. Started out as a good premise for a story and then morphed into terrible, senseless writing mid-way through. Dreadful flow and editing, some of the worst I've seen. Pat's character has to go down as the most childish, narcissistic, non evolving lead I've ever had the displeasure to witness in a BL. Apart from his beautiful plump lips, there was actually nothing likeable about his character or indeed his acting. He was painful viewing. Let's not even talk about the storyline with Jaab and Jen - looks like the writer, simply got bored with it and dropped. I wished I'd dropped this earlier. It's a 2/10 for me.
lol. Apparently Gun won some sort of award for acting. https://twitter.com/hubboyslove/status/1675578528329347073
Gosh, yes, I know. All I’d say is he definitely has family or friends in high places. Because there’s NO way anyone would believe he’s a good actor, quite the reverse.
I so hear you. However, would you like your partner to kiss you on the cheek, hold you in their arms like you…
Thank you for understanding my opinion. However, it has been 1-year, 3-months of getting to know each other, irrespective of whether they were together on a day-by-day basis. One year alone is a long time to get to know someone and therefore be extremely comfortable. If you weren't after such a long time, you simply wouldn't be around that person. Also, at the finale of EP1 they kissed and Minato instigated it, so why start S2 with him acting like a teenage virgin from a simple kiss on the cheek. It doesn't make realistic sense.
I agree with you Minato does overthink, but once again, he has has over a year to adjust and become comfortable with Shin, so again, its totally unrealistic his reaction. Let's see what EP 2 brings.
I love how people are complaining that some are "ruining it for them" because we've voiced criticisms, as if this…
I have to admit - I really did have to laugh reading the comments this morning. Spot on Maggi as always. We're here to critique a drama based on constructive criticism based on our own individual thoughts. This is not and has never meant to be a fan forum.
Maggie, you're a poet and you didn't even know it! #Snigger. Yes, it would appear, we really are getting very…
I so hear you. That's exactly the reasons why I stuck with S1 and was so looking forward to Minato's evolving character development from the outset to whet our appetites in this series. However, we've now got to sit through the whole uncomfortable viewing process of them living together, because we so know where the writer is going to take this episode-after-episode-after-episode. Hopefully at least we get to see Shin's torso in several 'out of the shower' scenes.
Looks more of the same that made season one so lame. A 29 year old man avoids his boyfriend's kiss on the cheek…
Maggie, you're a poet and you didn't even know it! #Snigger.
Yes, it would appear, we really are getting very much more of the same and frustratingly after 1-year and 3-months of knowing each other and now dating. You really can't make this shit up. The disappointing fact is, I think the narrative for Shin and Asuka is really good, but Minato, they've simply taken too far in the opposite direction, to the point where its unbelievable that a confident, beautiful, forthright, sassy, spunky man like Shin, would even entertain such a relationship after this long, with absolutely NO emotional affection, other than food and a place to do his homework. #Sigh
I really love this drama . And I’m not bothered by shy Minato at all , there are 29/30 y.o humans who are shy…
I so hear you. However, would you like your partner to kiss you on the cheek, hold you in their arms like you truly meant something to them, stroke your cheek, take your hands in there’s, hold your hand while walking, snuggle on the couch watching a movie, spoon in bed (fully clothed off course, in jumpers, in summer), pat your head even, (the latter I really wouldn’t do, as I’m no man’s pet), but I think you get my gist).
Minato, is literally devoid of emotional intelligence. It’s just a relentless wheel of me, me, me, me, me and I find his character portrayal both exhausting and untrue to real life. In real life a personality like Shin’s wouldn’t tolerate him and especially for over 1-year 3 months. He’d be dumped. Simply put. Human nature needs and desires an essence, a minimum of affection and I’m not talking about sex.
its not stupid. he really didn't had any relationship with a man before. he really doesn't have experience. experience…
@leesukkie. This isn’t all about sex, quite the opposite. This is about a fully grown, near 30 year old man being kissed on the CHEEK by a man he’s known for over a year and has now CHOSEN to date for 3-months. He literally treats Shin whenever he’s close like he’s got fleas. How can you relate to this as real life? It was ok in S1, believe me, I got it to a point and at a struggle, but a whole damn 1 year, 3 months later will make for seriously, boring, tedious, unbelievable, unrealistic viewing. #JustSayin’
a grown 30 year old man being shocked and startled by the guy he allegedly likes kissing him on CHEEK. and shin…
I so hear you on this. At times, BL just gets too damn childish, immature and utterly unrealistic for me, so I literally scour the world for ‘realistic’ gay dramas / films when I become too frustrated. Young Royals I’ve re-watched multiple times, (although the 2nd series I found disappointing in parts - (too much about the girls) but remains one of my absolute faves. I’ve watched the SKAM series across every country, Heartstopper (love it, season 2 also upcoming) and Elite Series.
I too can do fluff, but sometimes I feel the writers and directors actually live in Alice and Wonderland, where nothing makes actual sense. I do adore how the writer portrays and writes the lines for Shin and Asuka, which keeps me here.
Who asked for a second season of this... This already looks exhausting. Minato is acting like a teenager with…
So true. I really don’t think I can endure 12-episodes, let alone 3 without seeing him evolve. It’s just so unbelievable unrealistic for a 29-year old man. The beauty of Shin’s character and the script writing for him and Asuka, will simply not hold my attention alone.
It's the same series all over again. They even bring back the teacher that Minato was in love with -- the tortured…
Raises hand . . I care. I care. I don't need to watch a 29-year old man who has been around his supposed love for a year and officially dating for 3-months, act like an emotionally retarded child around a man he allegedly likes. It's annoying, frustrating and totally unrealistic. Don't even get me started on that damn teacher returning!
Thanks for your brief but thorough review, JG. I almost always agree with your comments so I'm going to do myself…
Greetings you. Its been a while! Thanks for your lovely comments.
Day-after-day, they just get worse, to the point where I honestly am starting to believe Thai writers and directors, not only do not know or understand their craft, but most importantly, they have zero integrity for it and therefore don't give a flying fuck about what they write or produce anymore. They must have friends in very high places! It really feels like a seriously cheap production line of bad knock-offs!
And yes, you're right, the $$$ they must be burning. In fact, I'd rather watch them burn the money - it'd be more entertaining and engaging than continue to watch the shit they're currently churning out on that ole production line.
It's a shame, because the premise of this story was good and first few episodes also. But hey ho. Nothing is going to save this one. It'll be a 1/10 from me and that's just for the actors rocking up to set every day, even though the main lead can't act to save his life.
Fully agree with all of it. I get him being a bit nervous about a first time with Shin, but how does a kiss on…
So hear you. Minato is definitely trying our collective patience. #Snigger. It's just so implausible and his reactions very extreme. After all, he's already had a year to get to know Shin and dated him for 3-months! Let's face it, any 29 year old, able to pull a stunning 19 year old like Shin, would do pretty much anything to ensure he's romanced and happy. Plus, what about his own sexual desires? In 2023, I think we should have passed this dreadful portrayal of a loving, gay relationships. He just constantly reminds me of a moth flinching when hitting a lightbulb!
