Please Thailand stop with this ridiculously horrible sniff kissing. WTAF. It's hideous and horrible to see. Where has this come from and why? STOP already. No one and I mean no one does this.
I always think about the same thing. A whole series and no real intimacy and maybe 1 feather kiss or no kiss at…
You’re so right. They are indeed bromances and do you know what, I’m not entertaining them anymore. I find the childishness completely unbearable and a disrespect to adult life and thinking.
Hum, I do understand your point but I think you are missing one big point too. They are Japanese. Even to these…
Really? I like your persective. Gives me much to think about. Physical displays of affection cornered to friends of the same sex?! I imagine because this is their comfort zone and they can therefore can be who they truly are. How sad indeed.
Well, that was forgettable. Honestly, ask yourself, will you even remember this drama in 2-weeks time? I won't. Yet another Japanese BL drama that is beyond, beyond childish when showcasing ADULT men in their 20's. I get it, I'm not the target audience of high school girls in the 'shoujo' category and love the 'jousei' category where the likes of Pornographer, The Novelist, Dangerous Drugs of Sex, Double Mint and The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese sit. To me, the latter is Japanese writing at its utter best.
No other culture and I mean no other, in my mind anyway, think and write like the Japanese and this is why I love them and am still here. It's like their way of storytelling is in their DNA, which no other culture could replicate. Their off the scale crazy quirky, imaginative, innovative, hence why I'm so disappointed that they struggle under the 'shoujo' category to show any kind of intimacy, let alone a kiss. They literally have delivered a truly shit show of BLs recently where they obviously struggle to embrace homosexuality and the thought that two adult men would actually want to kiss each other, other than 'My Beautiful Man' which was indeed lovely.
Look at the following:
1. Cherry Magic - not one kiss 2. My Love Mix-up - Childish lead, no kissing 3. Mr. Unlucky has no choice but to kiss - childish lead and no kiss 4. Old Fashioned Cupcake - lovely, lovely story. No actual kiss. They really should have kissed in the alleyway 5. Life Love on the Line - wonderful, wonderful story, yet minimal intimacy.
What the actual fuck is going on with Japanese BLs?
Hum, I do understand your point but I think you are missing one big point too. They are Japanese. Even to these…
Hmmm... interesting. Like your thinking on love and sex being different and I can kind of see what you're saying.
I had a rant on the Senpai this can't be love page, that I couldn't get my head around how two adult males in their 20s can't show any kind of intimacy with each other, by way of holding hands, cuddling, touching your loves face, kissing etc... not sex. Someone responded to say that the target audience of this genre is high school girls, which really resonated with me. They explained that Japanese BLs are adapted from manga's and in two genres, 'Shoujo', which this is and made for high school girls and the 'jousei' category, which I'm obviously a huge, huge fan off, as I've watched and absolutely loved The Novelist, Mood Indigo, Dangerous Drugs of Sex, Double Mint and The Cornered Mouse.
However, have to be honest and say Japanese writers under the 'Shoujo' category remain utterly frustrating in my mind, and mostly because no other country and I mean no other writes like the Japanese. It's like their DNA has a WHOLE different way of storytelling. They are so quirky and unique in their thinking that no other culture could even come close to thinking the way they do. This is why I keep watching.
Interesting. I love this show and I am usually one of the first to be pushing for expressions of physical intimacy…
Loved your response, made me laugh out loud and I so hear you. You're right in regards to Minato trying to be a responsible adult and I hugely respect him for this. I'd be the same. However, there ain't no way I wouldn't have kissed the face of that damn beautiful boy... and especially when he came out the shower, now that he'd hit 18. #JustSayin.
And thats why we should never read the comments before watching a drama. These people are way too extreme to say…
Yes, I too understand her thinking. However, our boy has no intention of letting his girl go! Yes, me too, I was very touched by the conversation with her father.

They make me chuckle. I find it hilarious, it’s as if they’re bipolar. #Snigger. I actually do read the comments first, but they don’t influence my decision to watch a drama. Best for me too, but I would like for them to end up together.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. You lot are killing me. The negative comments are hilarious. From pure love over an unprecedented amount of extraordinarily written episodes, to utter frustration. I can understand the negative feelings in terms of Kwon Min Woo and his sudden about change, together with spring sunshines sudden interest in him. However, I never thought this drama was going to be all fluffy for 16-episodes and plain sailing for our leads, quite the opposite.
It’s still my favourite drama ever. Also, don’t feel the last two episodes were a train wreck. I think the writer is incredible, knows how to tell a story and has done a phenomenal job with this drama. Bring on last two episodes. It’s a 10/10 from me and yes, I do think Woo Young and Lee Joon will get back together.
really? considering the train-wreck that was 13 & 14, it's still your favorite drama???I find that hard to believe.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Loved reading this. Made me chuckle. Thank you. I’m not looking for sex or indeed physical intimacy, just at this stage some kind of honest, human nature realism from Minato. I just find his constant fear, running away, rabbit caught in headlights unrealistic and beyond boring at this stage. His behaviour is younger than Shin’s. There is just no way a 27-year old man would behave like this. Uggggh!!!
