From the outset, I've absolutely adored this drama from start to finish. It really has blown my mind and all because of its amazing script and the writers excellent expertise and knowledge in how to tell a story and deliver an outstanding narrative. Don't even get me started on the incredible job the Cast team did - blows my mind and don't even get me started on the acting from Park Eun Bin - what an incredible talent. Off the scale amazing to deliver such a character and so believably. I was mesmerised by her acting, her smile and oh those eyes - they literally lit up my week.
For me, to be able to introduce a new character in EP 15, (the son) and make him such an intrinsic part of the overall final narrative at such a crucial stage and so well, is indeed genius and takes huge guts and foresight in writing. I adored him in the first five minutes he was on screen in EP 16. The twist with Chang-Hong (the developer/Acting CEO), I didn't see that, utter brilliance and again, so masterfully worked into the overall script.
I cried when Woo Young Woo was speaking with her father. I cried again when she was speaking with her mother and I cried when I saw her cry for the first time. This for me is exactly what the title delivered, because it was always about Woo Young Woo and how extraordinary she is, so I was always fixated and focused on her life, developments and thoughts, hence why I didn't give a flying shit throughout each episode about the evil exploits of Min-Woo or his relationship with Soo-Yeon, because the genius of this beautiful writing has always been about our girl. She listened. Learnt. Responded. However, was always true to herself and values, but damn, how she evolved and evolved so beautifully. For me, the others were called a side story for a reason.
A really silly, silly thing really resonated with me because I love the human nature of cats having adopted one for years. When Lee Joon Ho quoted the cat analogy and Woo Young-woo responded: "The unrequited love between a cat and its owner is not appropriate - so let's not break up." I was completely done for in that line.
Did I get 16 weeks worth of a beautiful story and storytelling. Yes, I did. I absolutely loved it. It remains my favourite drama EVER. To quote Woo Young Woo: "The emotion I'm feeling this morning is a sense of fulfilment" and do you what, that's exactly what I'm feeling from watching and already missing this incredible drama.
Whatever the ending may be, I'll try to focus on all the wonderful moments and the insight to autistic people…
Beautifully put - me and you both. It still remains my favourite ever drama, for in the main, the exquisite, creative writing and storytelling, together with the acting. I've loved it.
Aw, this is good. This is very good. I was mesmerised by the first episode. Totally enthralled. Goodness, what instant chemistry between two leads - off the scale magical. My thinking is, In, instantly knew who Wang was from the moment he set eyes on him and his heart went into overdrive. As some have commented below, Wang definitely meant to go in search of In - that much to me is very clear as he wants to "live in his father's world" and "learn of all the things he never got to know". Perhaps at this stage, it is pure curiosity and indeed infatuation. However, it is clear this will turn into a dramatic love story between the two. I'm so bloody here for it!
And no, I don't have ANY issues with the age difference. Wang is 20, old enough to make up his own mind and love is love as they say. You can't stop what the heart wants.
This really is my guilty pleasure and I find myself not minding sitting through 48 minutes of it, because most of the time I'm sniggering for all the wrong reasons.
Ep 9 was much better. However, has anyone else noticed each week the writer suffers memory loss, saying the same line at least twice. Kamol had already asked for the ex lover to be watched outside and then he asked again in his office. All the cheap promotions have me in hysterics.... but at least the tiger looks like its lost some weight! 🤣Also, this is the most mature I've seen Kim, which obviously comes from trust and finally falling in love. And, I really don't mind looking at his chest, stomach and lips for a very, very long time!
This show is marked as 15+ but it should rather be 15-.
So right. It was beyond terrible in the childishness, with absolutely zero chemistry between the leads. And, when you think about it, when did they ever have just a normal, human, adult conversation throughout the drama without Kaneda imploding, overacting, bowing to say sorry - like, never.
I was thinking- if the audience is young 'shoujo' category as you called them, focus on school kids, but if the…
Totally agree with you... and I'm also a Westerner, so extremely difficult to digest and empathise with their thought process when it comes to adult males behaving so childishly and ridiculous.
It’s like the cultural thing in Japanese. Even when you watch straight couple, they barely get intimacy kiss…
Yes, you could have a point here. However, I'm beginning to grow disillusioned and despondent especially with their BLs, so I think I'll be checking out from them from now on.
This is so weird. There are many yaoi with mature storylines (characters who act like adult and have intimacy)…
Your comments are absolutely spot on to my way of thinking. You are indeed a breath of fresh air 😊Interesting about only adapting the childish ones. Yes, so right, the kiss always happens earlier and I honestly believe this is solely to hook the audience in with an expectation that there will be more, but there never is, so it creates a whole new level of dissatisfaction. Agree, I'm beginning to think they also want to ride the BL wave - be seen to be present on the rising 'trend' as an innovative nation, but in the background, its all simply about cashing in, and they don't actually believe, respect or support homosexuality and its community.

Can't wait for Ep 2. Bring it on.
