Any constructive criticism of this drama is justified (not hate though). It lacked big time when it comes to story writing. The plot holes could swallow an elephant. In the end I was left behind with a lot of unanswered questions and was really unsatisfied. This had so much potential but what they delivered couldn't live up to the expectations. What really fed me up was the obsessive amount of product placement though. The more products they praised in the drama the more I felt like I was watching a teleshopping channel show with a bit of story placed around it. They practically shoved us in the face how delicious the chicken is, that we need this mask or beauty products for our skin, car brands were zoomed in....and worse, when you got a piece of character development they focused on the stupid coffee bottle on the table instead of the characters. I have to applaud them though, they made sure I will never purchase any of these products and saved me a lot of money. I gave it a really kind 6.5 rating. For the advertisement that mocks the viewers intelligence and worth they would deserve a 1.0 rating.
It's actually an old work from 2012 but wasn't released until 2019. That's why there is not much info about this…
Purple Text is still working on it. The release frequency is around 1 episode per month. As far as I know it's one person working on the subs which is why it takes a little time.

Yes, I've been a fan of them since Guardian. ^^ You can watch subbed episodes on dramacool and download the raw ones, then you can add srt files with a video player like VLC for example.
I'm happy to see him getting main roles. Loved him in Pet at Deli Temple but sadly the drama went downhill in its second half and spoiled the overall watching experience.
Generally yes, I liked the novel more than the series, though there are some things that I liked more in the series.…
You obviously missed some (great) scenes then when they not only had physical contact but it was longer than one would say is necessary. Also it's SW for Shen Wei and Chu not Zuo... xD
I fully agree with the article and Guardian's crew did a wonderful job in tricking the censors. My disbelief is directed towards the strict taboos. It's understandable that you don't put alcohol or cigarettes in the spotlight (I certainly wouldn't) but banning them completely? Goes a little far and sounds like the strategy to take a sledgehammer to crack a nut. I'm not sure which C-Drama it was but in a behind the scenes video the crew was cautious that two children (not older than 6 if I should guess) didn't show "too much romance" as it was too sexual in their opinion. Sexual? Like a little girl and boy interacting with each other aka holding hands.... Oh dear. The taboos of China are quite unreasonable sometimes and make it too hard for the production crew who must feel like they're on an obstacle course with all those limitations.
Guys, some days ago I was actually searching to buy the series on DVD and on Amazon, they have it for like 60…
As far as I know there is no official release on DVD or Blu-Ray. I'm afraid most of them are (as SuibianX said) downloaded/copied versions that are poorly merged together. If you're looking for good DVDs aka high quality with good quality subs your safest bet is to make your own. This two for example practically scream Malaysia export and from experience I can tell you shouldn't expect good quality subs: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/Z64AAOSwyaNfQ3py/s-l1600.jpg https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/DxIAAOSw8lte8cUC/s-l1600.jpg
Is this just a condensed version of the docuseries? Or is there more content added?
There is more content. It makes sense to watch both as the focus on the docuseries is more on interviews and personal thoughts of the members while the movie is more about BTS as a whole.
