I feel like I'm missing something, I'm in the middle of the 6th episode and I'm going to be completely honest…
I think the beginning is quite slow paced and it took me a while to get into it. But it's worth sticking to it. Just finished the drama and it's a solid 8.5 for me. ^^
There's dramacool: https://dramacool.ca/watch/backstreet-rookie-episode-1-english-sub/ or IQ.com as Aishwarya…
It's okay. I mean no harm when I'm saying where people can watch dramas and I'm aware that dramacool or kissasian are piracy sites, that's why I usually say they are only an alternative. As someone who is from Europe they are sometimes the only way to watch asian dramas with subs which doesn't mean I agree with their policy. Many mention them here though.

Sorry, but it was asked where she could watch it and I'm not promoting, I'm simply saying it's there. It's not up to me where people watch. I also listed the official site of IQ who licensed the drama if you look more closely. So it's up to each one where they want to watch it. Thank you!
I would wait as the comments are running wild currently. I find it very unfair to judge a drama after 2 of 16…
After 4 episodes some where already complaining about the main leads Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun's acting or saying the behavior of the female was strange (which I didn't agree with, to me she was pretty reasonable). Also plot holes, messy scriptwriting and advertisement. I mostly agree to the criticism about the product placement though, TKEM went overboard with it and yes there are plot holes or too many questions that were left unanswered. I just think that those who disliked the drama where a bit too harsh, just like here. I found TKEM nice enough for a one time watch, gave it a 6.5.
Is this worth watching? I'm not really into silly slapstick romcom anymore. I love JCW, he's an great actor. You…
I would wait as the comments are running wild currently. I find it very unfair to judge a drama after 2 of 16 episodes aired so as for me I'll wait and see for myself then. In The King: Eternal Monarch case it also received a lot of hate and I find it pretty much okay. Surely didn't deserve the hate. So I'm cautious about this. In the end it's all depending on personal opinion anyway.
Should I watch the drama first or the movie? Are they connected in any way?
I've only seen the drama but from what I see looking at the movies page they are not connected, just based on the same novel so you can watch in any order you want or just watch one. Personally I liked the drama a lot and think a movie might not be able to do this story justice with the short duration of 98 minutes. Whatever you decide on prepare tissues. ^^
I'm the type who feels strongly for the characters (being sad and depressed while watching) and also cried a lot, but I enjoyed it. If you don't mind feeling with them, shedding tears and using up your tissue stock I would recommend it. It's really good.
or IQ.com as Aishwarya mentioned: https://www.iq.com/play/19rrhm35it
Both work in Germany. I checked. :)
"its licensed to iq.com"
Here's a link: https://www.iq.com/play/19rrhm35it
Hope this helps. :)

Anyway, still waiting for this. ^^
