Thanks for putting many efforts to bring all these together. Her first movie I watched was Eternal love... She…
Totally agree. I don't mind when there are no kisses as long as I can see that they love each other. (How would I get through censored BL C-Dramas if it wasn't for that 😆) I'm looking forward to her upcoming dramas as well. Sword Rose and Love on the Turquoise Land look so promising. Dilraba is the perfect example to proof that beauty does not mean everything's easy and just comes your way without any effort. And yes, she's a down to earth actress and I love her for that. ❤️
Thanks for taking out of your Time to put this together for us,Whoever said Dilraba is just a pretty face definitely…
I loved her cute, innocent and charming portrayal of Bai Fengjiu in Eternal Love. Since then I've followed her dramas and other appearances on stage. I think she is more than a pretty face and I like the roles she picks as they are strong females that go and fight for their dreams. ❤️
I actually surprised to read this article since Dilraba & Leo always topped No Chemistry Lists since many people…
I can't speak for other peoples opinions but for me she always had good chemistry with her co-stars. But that's totally subjective and everyone can have their own opinion on that. :)
I first saw Dilraba in "Diamond Lover," and she stood out for me. I smiled throughout "Mr. Pride vs. Miss Prejudice."…
Totally agree with you on everything you said. I also loved her chemistry with Yang Yang, it seemed so natural. Looking at the behind the scenes clips, it seems they had a great time while filming the drama.
I didn't make a list. I've watched Kingyo Tsuma and Watashi to Otto to Otto no Kareshi and both were disappointing in picturing infidelity. Non-explicit (no names/dramas mentioned) spoiler below:
One showed frustrating couple that totally failed in communicating with each other which could have solved 99% of their issues and showed a one-sided judging regarding infidelity. The other failed in character writing to make actions and feelings of characters relatable.
Love this article, Cho Na. You never disappoint. 😂 I missed some of these even though I'm keeping track of Short Length Series since I got into them. And thanks for including the spoilers about the end. That's gonna help being prepared for less happy ends. Looking forward to part 2! ❤️❤️❤️
I love mythology in general and it's even better when dramas are based on legends and folklore. Pee Mak is one of my favorites, the movie was so funny. Thanks for this wonderful article. ❤️
The point of the article is to talk about the folklore and stories not to just recommend and list EVERY drama…
No you can't. New writers for editorials can only co-write with people who are already writers and have published articles before. You can't write an article on your own.
Love the topic. A pity it's quite short. ❤️ There are so many interesting movies and dramas about music/musicians in dramaland. Some are based on real people or events, for example the movie The Tenor Lirico Spinto with Yoo Ji Tae.
To everyone who comes here after seeing the drama and thinks there is a movie out there. I wish there was but that's not true. This movie was added to MDL after the success of the drama Guardian. It hasn't been confirmed, nor did it air and will probably not as BL adaptions are banned in China after The Untamed and Word of Honor were super popular. China issued a rule against "feminine man in dramas" to stop BL adaptions. If you want more of Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan you can read the novel though. It has also an alternative ending to the drama ending. You can purchase the novel as print books (it has been officially published in english by Seven Seas Entertainment) or read the novel online here: https://www.novelupdates.com/series/guardian/
Fantastic article and great picks! ❤️ Zhou Ye is definitely one of the actresses one has to look out for, she captivated me with her performance in Word of Honor. Wang Xing Yue stole my heart this year with his performance in The Double. The queen of GL dramas is without a doubt Sheng Wei. I think no other actress has starred in a comparable amount of GL dramas.
My honorable mentions for this article would be: - Sun Zhen Ni (she was amazing in Till The End of the Moon and I can't wait for her upcoming dramas Blossom in Darkness and The Blossoming Love, those titles are so fitting cause she's also a flower that started to blossom) - Yang Chao Yue (I've seen her in Fireworks of my Heart and The Double this year and she made it to my favorites pretty fast) - Jin Chao and Qi Xia Xia (main leads in Short Length Series Dong Lan Xue and Zhang Gong Zhu Zai Shang) - Hu Yi Yao and Lin Ze Hui (main leads in Short Length Series Secrets of the Shadow Sect)
As always a great editorial from Cho Na and Wish Upon A Star that's visually stunning. I'm not sure if I'll ever get into JOL but it's interesting to read about it. 💜
Great article and topic, I just wish it was longer because it's so good. ❤️ I don't really care if actors/actresses can sing, but if they do it's definitely a great bonus in my opinion and I enjoy to watch their dramas and listen to their songs. For example I love it when cast members contribute to the OSTs of the dramas they are in. For me that makes the OST more meaningful and connected to the drama. Also you know how couples say: "that's our song" ? Duets of the main lead actors in romance drama OSTs give me that vibe. 💕
