Ok but the FL back when he's underage better have absolutely 0% feelings for ML, and no inclination towards a relationship back then. Melancholia imo FL still had strange feelings for ML when he was young, even though no relationship when young.

I heard that the Hallyu ban has been partially lifted in China now, and perhaps will be fully in the future. So maybe K & C actors can start to collab again. Though I don't belive the k actors who had their already filmed c dramas on hold for many years unrleased are going to be too keen to work with china ever again π (like for example Ji Chang Wook, Park Min Young...)
The episode length is too long for this drama, it really ruins the pacing of this drama. 1h +15-20 min is too much. π΅ Should've been max 1h, actually 50 minutes would've been good; too much annoying filler in each episode with the annoying mother & boring filler characters π π»ββοΈ Even with 1,5x speed have to skip alot of scenes; it's really too bad it has so much filler, cause the parts that aren't filler are a 10/10 drama, but filler parts 2/10 π΅ How to even rate this drama .... I think you're thinking about this from the wrong angle, rather than on older actress supporting his career, it's more him being more worthy to act alongside great seasoned actresses rather than a rookie who doesn't deserve to act with him π

I wouldn't give up hope if there's no news for a while. The Fiery Priest literary took YEARS before they'r e making a season 2 (still in preprodduction stage). But I'm also not going to be super optimistic for season 2.
Misinformation alert, it's a Romance MELODRAMA (check PD's previous work) , not a stupid romcom, has no comedy.
The market for Romcoms and Meloroms are very different too, romcoms more for younger audience, and the PDs and writers who make melos tend to stick to that and not do (even like?) silly romcoms. So unless this PD suddenly developed a taste for romcoms (I doubt itπ ), I wouldn't expect this to be romcom either.
This one of the rare cases where 2ml character clearly outshines ml in every way possible. If only he has one…
Nah not everyone prefers the 2ML, ML was more honest as a character and funnier absurd dynamics with FL. FL who was more herself with ML too, and depended more on ML, instead of hiding her qurkniness and secrets like she did with 2ML. 2ML acted too suspicious throughout drama, they lacked the trust that ML & FL had between them, 2ML acted suspicious rather than teamed up and helped ML & FL solving the mystery. π€¦π»ββοΈ
