I don't understand how this deserve 1 ...i mean even if you totally don't like the story there were…
For me this is a WAAAAAAY overrated drama, HOWEVER rating it 1 is just TOO much (I gave it a 6.5)!! I suspect these people who gave it a 1 are just bitter that it's rated so highly (over their favorite dramas), so they rated it as 1....immaturity at its finest!
@Marooya S/he had good points in the review, but agreed that a low drama rating should NOT impact actor rating! Better explanation needed for that one!
@miecha There are like 3 aspects to this drama: Romcom (Shintak), Supernatural and melorom (wangsun). This was mostly a romcom because it focused mainly on the main couple....Had trouble enjoying the supernatural elements cause it had so little of it.
.... So what you're saying is you basically have to skip through MOST of this drama in order to not see it as a romcom but as a supernatural one! Wangsun/melorom kept me hooked just enough, but as a Supernatural genre fan felt like dropping it, this IS a romcom.
I completely agree with you! Not quite as deep & unique as it claims and attempts to be...Watched this only for the Interesting WangSun loveline and Lee Dong Wook & Yoo In na's naturally SIZZLING chemistry....If it weren't for them, wouldn't even have finished this overrated drama! Drama 6,5 /10 points MAX(that's being generous!), WangSun 10/10.

I know you didn't mean, I just pointed out a DIFFERENCE between Healer and this being the added game element (allthough otherwise same concept), because I hope this ISN'T too much like Healer, because no matter how good Healer was it's good for an actor to challenge himself with different works so that it's not just playing same things
There's no game element in Healer though. Loved Healer, but personally I hope this distinguishes itself well from Healer, so he doesn't just do the same works over and over again

So now... Sunny has to come with terms with the King who mistreated her and Reaper who has done no such thing being the SAME person...Thus the need for RELIVING the scene from modern perspective..Foreshadowing the need to unite past and present.
Thinking about it now, maybe even the making YIA sport an old woman look, yet look more like she 's from modern times was INTENTIONAL...also part of the foreshadowing of uniting old and new..hmmm....

Feels like knetz blame YIA too much. Hair color ruing a scene? Stylist/director is in charge of that. I think they did make her look too modern yet old-looking somehow lol. Agree with them though that the TRANSITION from KSH & KMJ to YIA & LDW was awkward, director should've had YIA &.LDWK that WHOLE scene, not abrutly change actors in THE MIDDLE OF a scene!
However I think many misunderstood the intention behind the scene(many saying it was unecessary and that KSH & KMJ should've finished it), why they had LDW & YIA act out same king&queen scene....It was more like a RELIVING of that scene from the modern sunny's point of view...So her emotions would be a bit different than that of KSH, since the added context of modern Sunny, in the modern time Reaper hadn't mistreated her like the past king had, so more conflicted Sunny than just the Queen remembering this scene.

"for me...." EXACTLY acting is SUBJECTIVE. You cannot claim objectivity in acting, acting is based on the very subjective realm of emotions after all!
Btw, for me Gong Yoo is not the best in acting. #UnpopularOpinions
Anyway, LDW and YIA do have their acting flaws, but still better than many others

From what I've read some where saying they prefered Kim So Hyun's acting over
YIA's and were comparing the two....and not directly saying YIA was bad, just that KSH was better. Either way, I often disagree with Knetz... After all, these where the same people who were putting down Kim Go Eun for apparantly being ugly ( which btw isn't true either)!
BTW I'm a fan of BOTH YIA and KSH and liked them both in the Gyreo era, both brought their own interpretation.... However, I've become more of a fan of YIA find her majorly underrated, often playing the lead's bff rather than the lead. Both YIA & LDW deserve more praise/better roles than they've been given throughout their acting careers

@BeautifulSwan You should at least watch ep 11 as it is a lead in to ep 12. Ep 11 also features Sunny&Reaper and King &Queen more than ever before, you should most definitely at least watch ep 11
