It's disturbing what MDL is doing to the rating on this drama. My calculation on the overall score is pretty accurate…
There's an option when setting up your profile to provide your birth date, but it's not mandatory. So I think the age distribution is only using data from users who provided their birth date, and the remaining ~50% of user data is unknown, like their age

Ah, I misunderstood when you said you paid for the remaining episodes since Tencent fastpass is the only way to watch 31-36 until now. I'm sorry Google took your money :(
I’ve been trying to find the OST on Apple Music and of course it doesn’t seem to exist. I’ve noticed that a lot of recent c-drama OSTs aren’t available in Apple Music or iTunes (like Back From the Brink and Wonderland of Love). Does anyone know why many c-drama OSTs aren’t available, at least in the US?
He's been problematic here since the show started airing, and he finally exhausted my patience with how rude he was being to other users, you, and finally me.
There's nothing wrong with being a passionate fan, or liking to play around with numbers and data. Hopefully your predictions are correct that the score will even out eventually - but if not, at least we know it's a great show! :D
Honestly, I would just block this dude (I did). He's obviously a troll who just gets off on degrading others. If enough of us block him, he'll hopefully get bored and find some other drama page to troll.
And you can enjoy the rest of your life in your parent's basement degrading strangers on the internet.
I usually don't talk about my education and profession, but I also have pride in my accomplishments - so just as an FYI, I'm a veterinary doctor and a board certified pathologist. If you don't know what that is (I doubt you do), look it up. I'm also training to be double-boarded in another field AND working on a Master's Degree. The only reason I'm not planning to get a PhD is because I'm honestly tired of being in school and want a decent paycheck. I have years of education, training, and hard work under my belt, as well as fairly good grasp on proper data evaluation - whereas you fail to use proper grammar and punctuation most of the time. So which of us is the delusional one? To borrow your patronizing words above, don't try to out smart me, because you will fail.
You're not worth any more of my time so consider yourself blocked. I'm here to connect with fans of shows I like, not defend my pride as an actual intelligent human being to random turds on the internet. I hope you get a life at some point beyond antagonizing people way above your league on a c-drama comment page.

I am absolutely DYING over the height difference between XK and grandma Mai. He's like a giant next to her XD XD
Maybe it’s you who should stop embarrassing yourself by coming onto MDL pages of dramas you obviously don’t care about enough to watch sincerely and antagonizing fans of the show that are just commenting on their concerns. No one is harming anyone by complaining about the non-transparent rating system. If MDL doesn’t want people complaining, they should publish their method of deciding a rating - it’s honestly super sketchy that they don’t. Coming from a scientific professional field myself, not disclosing your methods and stats is a major red flag that there’s dishonest data manipulation. These are subjective ratings on tv shows, so in the grand scheme of things, not that important but for a platform that purports to display audience-based ratings, they should accurately reflect the audience’s opinion (good or bad). I’ve come across a number of dramas that are worse off than this one - watcher scores in the high 8/low 9s but an overall rating in the 7s. Tell me how that adds up - it doesn’t. So don’t @ me or others for raising legitimate concerns
I can't fine episode 31 on youtube... I paid and everything. Other people have finished it, I don't understand.…

Sending a comment to myself how on earth is the other SF rated 8.1 and this one is stick on 7.x. MDL FIX YOUR…
Yeah, it's especially confusing when you compare the ratings breakdown between SF4 and SF6. Even the dropped rating on SF6 has increased over the last few days, so you would think the rating here would bump up to at least 7.9 but no. It makes me suspicious that they've deliberately frozen the rating at 7.8 for whatever reason. How else to explain the discrepency?
can anyone tell me if bian and Jinzhao are one or different person?? I’m at episode 10 and rlly confused. Pls…
They're technically separate people. It's best not to spoil their exact relationship any further though in terms of getting the best watching experience ^^'
So in my mad binge of XK dramas after watching WoL, this was close to the bottom of my list because of all the…
This isn't the first (or last, lets be real) fantasy c-drama where the good guys make a lot of illogical choices and the villains seem OP. I've found that's pretty par for the course honestly . . . I even have a term for this - "drama-logic", it's also all over k-dramas. I do admit, it's a little next-level in this show, but I just rolled with it haha Though there was one character in particular I wanted to punt into the Mariana Trench and did think her shenanigans went on for WAY too long before being ousted as a bad guy. But that's not enough to ruin an entire drama for me, so besides her, this was enjoyable!
I know a lot of XK fans were also disappointed with his lack of screen time - but also like other fantasy c-dramas, I didn't think his screen time as a lead was much less than I've seen in other dramas. Side characters/plots often distract and take time from the leads in most c-dramas I've seen, so it didn't seem abnormal to me. Also, if you've suffered through reading/watching most shounen manga/anime, you'll know this is quite common, where the main character sometimes doesn't make an appearance for multiple chapters/episodes while focus is diverted to a side plot (Naruto and Bleach being the biggest offenders on that front).
This is literally what I would picture for a live-action manga/anime. From the cinematography, character design (e.g., lion dude and demon king at the end are the best examples), fight scenes, comic illustrations, etc - it was very much like watching a shounen manga/anime come to life. I have no knowledge of the source material, so don't know or really care how this deviated from the original story - I'm just happy with the drama I was presented with. Is this the best drama ever? God no, but it was enjoyable and I had a fun time watching it, and that's all I ask for in a tv show.
I may write a more formal review at some point - maybe after a rewatch (because I can see myself rewatching), but just wanted to throw my two cents in.
So in my mad binge of XK dramas after watching WoL, this was close to the bottom of my list because of all the negative things I heard about it . . . so I went into this drama with super low expectations. I figured even if it's bad I can still stare at XK and his bada** fight scenes . . . and was very much pleasantly surprised. I really didn't think it was that bad???? Like at all?
I ended up writing a lot more than I planned, so the rest of my semi-but not quite review is under the spoiler tag. Feel free to read or not haha Just wanted to throw my two cents in about his (underrated) drama
Because the remaining life of that first person was too short (he had one year left), so it was not enough for…
Yeah, I interpreted YJZ's short life (less than 4 years) a consequence of BLH not having much life force left after being injured.
In addition to LeTr's comment above, the Dragon Pool also wouldn't have remembered Xuwei (the guy that came first to sacrifice for Qi and YJZ), so he wouldn't have been able to tell Qi someone else came first. I'm assuming there's some magical awareness within the pool itself that held onto Xuwei's wish (to trade his life for YJZ so the number of lives remains constant AND so that Qi wouldn't have to give up her entire existence)
What in the world was that!? I am not a hater/troller, My original MDL account is under some glitch( i can log…
Honestly - to address all the issues you have would require rehashing MOST of the drama . . . which I don't have time to do. Most of your concerns are addressed within the drama, particularly within dialogues between Yu clan/Zhu Yu and Hengdao Sect members, so if you really want to understand so that this drama is more satisfactory, I recommended rewatching it and paying close attention to the dialogue. To me, the character's motivations and reasoning for their actions are spelled out fairly well, and I wasn't at all confused about anyone's motivations by the end of the show.
Whether you found the final fight and ending satisfactory is completely subjective, so although I disagree and thought it was good ending, I won't argue about it. But maybe rewatching and better understanding the characters and events leading up the finale may help change your opinion. But at the same time, you're allowed to not like a show, and you definitely don't need to rewatch something that you seem to not have liked all that much. Hopefully, another drama will be more satisfying to you, and I hope you get your account unlocked!
This is more because I love crime/thriller/mystery dramas, and I have no idea if XK would even consider this kind…
Yes, I am sure murder and serial killers exist in modern China . . . but that's probably not something the government would want shown even in a fictional sense ^^'
If you don’t like it to the point you can’t stomach watching a good series, there’s many other dramas to choose from . . .

WoL is available globally - I'm in the US and watched it on Viki and it's also available on Tencent Video
