Can someone tell me ... Does Zhao Yan's twin brother hate her and is jealous of her or does he actually care about…
I feel like the short and most accurate answer is: It’s complicated 😅

I think he feels a whole host of things regarding ZY, but there’s one emotion that wins out in the end. I don’t want to spoil anything, but Meiming is, in my opinion, one of the most complicated and intriguing characters in this series. Props to the actor - he does a marvelous job showing such a complicated array of emotions

This drama started all bubbly only to have me bawl my eyes out from around 28 ep to the very last ep... This drama…
Xu Wei (white haired dude from Hengdao Sect) went to the Dragon Pool first in order to exchange his life/memories for YJZ. Because he was terminally ill, his life would not grant YJZ much time. Xu Wei also knew that Qi would come to exchange for YJZ, so he asked the Dragon Pool to use his life and whatever else Qi was willing to sacrifice to bring YJZ back. Remember that the number of lives must remain the same, so Qi didn’t have to sacrifice her entire life, just her and everyone’s memories of her (and YJZ). There’s also speculation that because she’s a divine beast, part of her long lifespan also contributed to bringing YJZ back. The consequence is that both she and YJZ “come back to life” with no memories - but because their fates are so intertwined, they were able to find each other again, hence their meeting at the end

I hope that makes sense!

They may not have filmed it yet, either. I don’t think they film chronologically but based on actor/other staff availability/schedules.

On Douban, in the past week, 80% more 5's are given than 4's. However, the 1 and 2 continues to grow in volume…
Bots maybe? - I have no clue if Douban eventually clears "fake" ratings/bots - but probably not, especially if no one on the drama's side are fighting (*coughpayingcough*) for them to do so

I'm resigned to the fact that this drama will remain an unfairly underrated gem. I just hope that karma works its magic and gives those haters a bad day/week, maybe a lingering head cold, in return for the negativity they decided to release into the universe haha

haha..yup! pretty disappointing! hehe 🫣🤭
I heard about that and my first thought was “So you expect a man who has just gone through a major depressive episode in his life where he rarely left his parents house to be ripped with an 8 pack????” That body type fit the character - and he wasn’t even fat by any real standards. Netizens just need to get their own lives honestly

are they doing another photoshoot 🥰🥰https://twitter.com/bongtengbootoo/status/1757067122306626038
It looks like Cheng Yi is on the cover of Wonderland China's Feb 2024 issue - so this is photoshopped. Though I would expect they'd do more photoshoots/promo for this drama since TSY seems to be very popular and they're not restricted by government regulations against game adaptations like SF6

Just wondering beside the lead couple, Who are the other couples in the drama to root that end up together by…
Luo Zhao Yan and Xian Qing are the second leading couple - they're a bit more slow burn, but do end up together.

There are several other couples that don't get a HE.

As for the leads, that's up for interpretation, but most of us here in the MDL comments interpret their ending as happy.

I don't want to spoil too much because going into this series with limited information enhances the experience in my opinion. Hope you enjoy!

Idk what to said about this drama...Last eps was confusing to me as the end ...We can just hope they will all…
If you liked Xu Kai in this drama and would like a historical/costume drama with killer chemistry/romance and a very well done happy ending, I highly recommend Wonderland of Love!

why the rating is so low? is this bad ending?
This show also attracted a lot of haters from the very beginning because of the two lead actors (antifans) and apparently from fans of the other Chinese Paladin drama adaptations because this one is praised highly by the game creators, so many of the low ratings have nothing to do with the actual quality of this drama.

It’s adapted from a video game and apparently restores the plot/gameplay very well, so it’s not laid out like a typical drama, which seems to throw some people off

This is more of a general c-ent question, but how far in advance do shows usually announce casting? Do they announce main cast with the drama announcement or not until closer to when filming starts? I'm more familiar with how K-dramas work in which casting is typically announced fairly ahead of filming.

Like, Moonlit Renunion will be filming until end of April into May - would XK's next project be announced around then or possibly sooner? If he takes one soon after finishing MR - boy could probably use a break, but it seems from recent interviews he doesn't think he needs one haha

How's the ending? Don't mind spoilers
Everyone kind of interprets it differently - but I saw it as open-ended, bittersweet, but also hopeful

There's an option when setting up your profile to provide your birth date, but it's not mandatory. So I think…
I was more thinking that when creating a "fake" account, you provide the bare minimum information needed (which here is just a valid email address I think) - so you wouldn't necessarily care or take the time to provide unneeded information. I assume a lot of people don't provide a birth date for privacy reasons as well.

The only thing I can think of is that if a lot of haters made fake accounts to come rate this drama low multiple times, they likely wouldn't provide a birth date . . . so that other 50% may be skewed lower than that provided by accounts with birth dates (more likely to be primary/legit accounts).

There's also the unknown component of their 'algorithim.' For all we know, the people that run this site may decide they don't like a certain show and suppress its ratings - there's absolutely no evidence for this, but I honestly don't know how some shows have an overall low rating and high ratings in the breakdown. BL shows are the hardest hit - they'll have completed/watching ratings in the high 8s/low 9s but their overall rating is like 7.5. Makes no sense.
