I don't fancy the hair accessories and outfits choice. And the mechanic scene with Song Yi was non-sensical and tasteless AF. I get the intention but the execution didn't deliver and instead, it clashes with her character. I believe they should have edited that scene out.
But I'm good with the cast and the overall setup as a story introduction.
There is something about her that really caught my attention. I don't know if it's her acting or the characters she is portraying, I feel something coming from her.
My very first drama with Bi Yun was Border Town Prodigal, and her Cui Nong version simply won me over. I've been digging about her ever since. I saw her dancing clips, her playing guitar and even her embarrassing moment on Birth of an Actor. Yet, I like her very much. I think it is about her attitude and the way she is presenting herself. I'm not too sure.
I will support her upcoming dramas and wish her great success.

hehe! Maybe so. Though I'm more under the impression that nowadays Chinese dramas do get some free-pass in term of skinship and kissing scenes. Should the producing crew gets bolder and presents more explicit scenes, it will remain a risky move for them. Given ZLY past works and her current marital situation, I have doubts she will overstep in our expectations in that area. But hey, I'm up for surprises!
From the trailer/teaser, I felt a strong focus on business-related matters. I don't follow well China current financial and economic situation but I thought if censorship should come into play in a drama theme such as this, then perhaps there is something about wealth or business procedure that they do not want to be illustrated.

ehhhh.... I would suspect something like that for an attractive theme drama like Guardian for example, but even for this type of plot? Then again, I haven't read the novel this drama is based on so .... maybe there are elements that are dubious to them? <_<
umm... how to start this? I really liked the two insert songs. It was the highlight for me. I think both males leads were rather cute together. That would pretty much sum up the positive side that I thought of this movie. It wasn't so much about the acting actually. They used voice dubbing and it was terrible because it was just too obvious. and I'll skip about the story, with or without season 2, the script was badly written.

Haha, I can't agree more with you. As long as the story holds together, I'm actually good with it. Lol, I wouldn't even mind business fights as long as it complements the plot. But I tend to drop drama when I feel producer take viewer for a fool. Let's cross fingers here.
