Trust me, I usually hate those tropes as well, but they do it so beautifully in this. It’s so good that even when one doesn’t clearly remember the other, there’s this electricity between them. The one that remembers is tender and patient. The one that forgot naturally is drawn to the other and has an innate need to trust them. They naturally fall for each other again. There is no miscommunication, no backstabbing or messing up each other’s plans. EVEN the noble idiocy made sense and was safeguarded against. If you are curious what I mean, get back to me after watch his and her noble idiocy moments 😂

I see a lot of ppl upset about the ending, but isn’t it so fitting for a drama that was loaded throughout with heartfelt sweet moments and seductive skinship? They were so classy about how they did the smexier scenes - they weren’t over the top but also gave us enough of the moment to enjoy. This has to be one of the dramas with the most number of legit kiss scenes. They start skinship less thhan halfway into the show. I think with so much of a bond established and shown repeatedly, we can forgive not having a full blown out HEA with babies and all.

At least in this one, they established over 3 lifetimes that they always find each other and always fall right back in love. I got soooo many sweet moments and wonderful skinship throughout that it makes up for this leave it blank ending. in so many ways, it makes sense to do just that - a stare. Sima Jiao and Tingyan established their love over and over. We should believe in them.

It will 😍I miss it so much that I’m just parked on this page reading comments and worrying about what my next drama will be because everything will pale in comparison

also. I giggled with glee at that full circle - we got the over the shoulder reveal with him in black looking all irritated but smexy 😂

I only watch shows after they are completed. This looked so good that I waited just long enough to run into the last few eps being released. I have never counted down to final eps. I was hitting refresh with excitement. This was great and I hope the rating reflects same. it deserves more than 8.6!

May this lifetime be the one they truly get to enjoy as a carefree couple as Sima Jiao wished for. I imagine it as her accident made her remember her other lifetimes and him
meeting her jogged his memory. Now they will IMMEDIATELY get married and have many children 😭 😂 🤣

I think the ending was done as good as it could be done under the guidelines that have to be followed. I can’t imagine another way to work it and this met the trajectory of all the other lifetimes. Bravo. I see it as a nicely tied bow of an amazingly done story with fantastic characters portrayed by wonderful actors and captured by great director and crew!! 😭 😭 What do I do now?????

Yes, when I thought of how Sima Jiao had to feed the Spirit Fire with his Fengshen blood, it made sense that she didn’t have that ability so introducing a new factor would destabilize her core. You Yan mess up the sweet setup Sima Jiao left Liao Tingyan with and Tingyan didn’t have the powerful blood to fix the situation. So yup. Everything about this drama is so right 😭 I will miss it!!

ML made such a big sacrifice and a little scratch send FL into having stabilization issues with her core??!? ugh. 😂 finally something that really bothered me in this drama

I am bothered by how easy it was for You Yan to mess with FL’s demon core even though she had the Spirit Fire. I mean. come on…

I always end up watching a bunch of variety shows after a really good drama that I have a hard time separating from 😂

ummm. keep going. his acting comes through beautifully. he plays cold to soft kitten so well in this. FL does an awesome job bringing out his warmth without invalidating his need for revenge. the chem is on fire once they begin to understand each other.

good and bad. what will we do with ourselves?? the hole it will leave in our lives 😭

mmhm. their communication is top notch! he doesn’t deny being the cause of injury and other dramas would have left it at that but they continue the conversation and he clarifies that he had no idea she would be there. Then when FL used her BRAIN! to realize something was off about her “aunt’s” memory because ML wouldn’t have pushed her to go into the Soul Search if he knew her memory would show such a scene. I can’t with alllllll the ways this drama is so exceptional. I am curious how it will end. So many dramas crash at the last ep or two. 😥We shall see in less than 6 hours!! 😆

oh oh. I have to add how she is the right amount of shy and proactive. She doesn’t wait to be kissed. she goes for it herself when she wants it.

yesss!!! both of them are doing so good that chem is off the charts. even when they are just staring at each other, I’m on the edge of my seat! I will absolutely rewatch this again. I try to give it a few months, but I have a feeling I’ll be back within a month. OTP reallllly made this drama. I mean, hats off to screenwriters and director too. they did trope right! from enemy/fear to love to forgetting and falling in love again. I was never unnecessarily frustrated. I was always engaged. the dialogue was never overly cheesy. I am still on that line - “You are the only one in the world that can make me yield without a fight. That makes you the strongest of all.”

This ML is so green that his lines are screaming “Goooo! I am green light!” FL is never plays the weakest link even when she didn’t have powers because she never got in ML’s way and supported him after a hard day. She never tried to hard change his ways and only suggested maybe being so rough wasn’t the best for him.

same! the scene I last watched multiple times was the one where he joins her in the water in the fake Grand Vale. The face softening gets me always 😩
