omg. how hurt did ML look when she said she’ll return to save her friend when she was all about not going back even when he urged that she look at him and think about him and do something for him??!? the pain!! I’m just trying to get this drama to end at this point! ML has gone miles for FL and FL carried her misunderstandings about him from past life to almost to the end of this drama and even though she now knows his story, motives and true nature, she is still hurting him by not only failing to to have any consideration for him but also rubbing salt to his wound by going out on a limb for her friends. I’m so frustrated 😩 *I hate that I have to do this, but it’s a comment section and not a section for only ppl who absolutely love the drama. I can express my qualms and have a dialogue with others. it’s okay to have differing opinions. And, no, I don’t hate any of the actors themselves 🤦🏻♀️
Yeah, people think this is the best drama because female lead doesn't act childish nor does she speaks in a childish…
but it’s riddled with misunderstandings…it drives the whole plot and character development. FL constantly thinking ML is doing it to get power. FL thinking ML sent Yan Lin away to harm him. FL getting caught up in the infiltration by SML - although there weren’t misunderstanding about the actions, there was misunderstanding over intention. The misunderstandings aren’t childish like rom coms but they are still there and. it necessarily a bad thing since the fuel the drama and plot trajectory
FL is smart but she’s stressing me out with how her plans (and misunderstandings) keep crossing paths with ML’s schemes and overall plan. Girlfriend, connect the dots faster 😭 and stop being so distracted by Yan Lin and SML - I get you feel you owe them and ML was treacherous the last round of your life. 😰

Knowing Duke Su (WXY) is in this drama is making me apprehensive. I haven’t even gotten to eps with him in it and I’m already worried that I’m going to have a hard time rooting for ML. Don’t get me wrong ZLH is great, but I’m weak for WXY 😭 I really hope OTP have some great chemistry so that I’ll be able to ship them instead of feeling badly for SML 😂 Or here comes some crazy SML-syndrome

Yes. I really had to step aside and realize how she grew up betrayed by her own father and then abused and alone. The only person she ever formed an attachment to is killed so she has major major psychological trauma she is bringing into the ship. ML on the other hand has always had his friends/bros/subordinates. ML was the warmth that had to melt FL’s icy heart. It was a breath of fresh air once I came out of my stereo-cdrama bubble. They did a great job showing her character growth and OTP’s communication was exceptional for cdrama world. I love that ML’s growth was don’t force your will onto your woman and him accepting that it’s “happy wife, happy life.” 😂

All the reason why this drama hurt so much at the end. They really had to kill everyone in the squad one by one 🫥😭I guess none of them would have been truly happy with so many of them missing in their lives. Ultimately, they all needed each other. Even though ML had FL and even suggested going off into some deserted island, he noted that he would miss his bros and come back in a heartbeat if any of them needed help. OMGEeeee. what a heartbreaker of an ending. I’m thinking the Chu Yue was imagining the boy, Ning Shisan (whose mom’s name is Ren) riding. I choose to think they are all together in the afterlife. anything to make myself feel better 😭 🤧
