He is like a giant child and he doubts himself and knows he isn’t as good as Nan Heng. I can’t feel that much sympathy for him when he continues his craze even after he learns the truth and then his dad is back in pic and he is still being crazy. He was too far gone and I get his spiral, but in contrast, ML had it so much worse growing up tortured in the cold palace and constant walking on eggshells around his father/king all while trying to protect his mother and his nightwalkers and being good to the general public. SML is missing a few nuts, but that’s what makes a dramatic drama 😂

it seemed like she only schemed main parts of the script so maybe she didn’t catch the underlying reasons for ML’s actions which they then highlight in the drama that there’s always more to the pic and you can’t just an event for what it is but you really have to look at the person’s character. FL was sold on ML being mean spirited and the dmeon king just like the rest of the public, but she finally wakes up to and comes to terms with ML’s actual good nature

idk if your questions are rhetorical but I’ll answer them with my genuine and sincere thoughts. I didn’t start this with prejudice and most audience are in the same boat. Even if we came off of a high of POB, we wanted to continue that same joy. A lot of people were hyped for this. I was not only excited to see LYN but the trailers made this look hilarious and OTP seemed amazing together. I also think FL is super cute and funny. She actually played her role well enough. Unfortunately, the story dragged in the land of push push from FL while the ML followed like a sad puppy. While there are plenty of dramas that’s do that, this drama had it go on for 30 eps and ML was often injured and almost killed - not just shut down and emotionally wounded. It’s upsetting to watch that from an OTP we were really excited about. Yes, some ppl then brought up POB in comparison because they felt it delivered OTP magic. I don’t see anything wrong with sharing that opinion.

As for discouraging others, I don’t see it that way IMHO. The commentary section is not only for glowing reviews and opinions for a drama. I come to engage with other drama viewers. Sometimes to share in the giddy feels over an amazing story or cast. Sometimes to get different perspectives and understanding of scenes or character motives. Sometimes to know that I’m not alone in my frustration over character or plot development, especially given that I must see a drama through to the end so it helps to have company in my struggles 😂 It’s rarely that I absolutely dislike the drama, but it might be parts that are annoying me, like in this case.

Someome directly asked if they should continue and I never dissuaded them and just noted they might need to 2x some scenes as they also expressed frustration over FL misunderstanding and being stubborn to her initial reaction from reading a handful of scenes in a script. None of this is coming from a bias or prejudice towards FL (and note clearly we are talking about FL = character and NOT the actress herself). I definitely never started this drama going, no FL can match ML as well as in POB. That doesn’t make sense as they are two different characters in two different dramas. IDK if you saw some comment suggesting Song Zu Er matches better with LYN than Li Yi Tong, because I have not seen any such comments. Such a comment doesn’t necessary make sense either because a lot of the chemistry is based on the plot and romantic scenes providing them opportunity to build that ship. If you have seen such commentary, I can understand why you are bothered, but again, I have not seen such comments and only saw comments as I previously discussed.

Sorry to make it so long, but I thought I would share this perspective and answer your questions in earnest.

Yeah, you will definitely miss plot points so it’s best to 1.5x the parts she is creating trouble or grumbling without trying to fix things on her own or misunderstanding ML. 😝

Why is Chu Gui Hong always jumping to conclusions? Literally no evidence and he assumes a motive and pegs the cart explosion on Nan Heng 🤦🏻‍♀️ This is the game of how many things can ML be blamed for or take the fault for 🫣

trust me, you’ll go 1.5x and even 2x at times while also hitting 10 sec skip 😂

People are saying the later eps are amazing but I don’t know if I can ever like FL after all that she has put Nan Heng through. Honestly, it’s only worth it if you really like LYN’s acting because he did amazing here. The Nightwalkers crew is so awesome and I appreciated how they were at least there for ML. The general court politics isn’t too boring. Everyone is against ML but he maneuvers things boldly and intelligently.

I am at ep 24 and she found out some secrets (and not because she used her brain properly but because someone spelled it out for her and then she finally read the words but even then hurt ML in confirming the truth) and she STILL doesn’t trust him and is instead blaming him for everythinggggg. I am literally hanging on by a thread for LYN 😪

I am at ep 23 and I can’t get over this FL. This character is making it sooooo hard to watch this drama. I am in an absolute struggle bus because I absolutely love ML character and LYN. He has such a heartbreaking character and played it so well. I actually don’t want her to be with him. I want him to find someone that loves him the way he loves her. He has done so much for her and put so much at stake for her and she is astonishingly blind to it because she is so frkn narrow minded and has zero critical thinking skills!!! I can’t wait to be done with this and just pray that LYN next drama doesn’t torture me like this 😭 😭 😭

As for his acting, I do agree his expressions are better and the action director and choreo did a great job in this, as well as he is just growing with each show. I really loved the chemistry in PoB though. The cast as a whole and script is so important.

Put a hot man in a mask and it magically amps up the hot! Side note, I can’t with how she doesn’t recognize LS as NH! Those eyes are to die for and I’m in the eye mole fanclub so I’m extra offended 😂 🤣

I was really hoping to like this one and that it would be happiness because Journey to Love gave me so much trauma. I regret that I saw PoB first and then LY’s other dramas. I couldn’t help but feel heartbroken for him.
