it’s because she is in his territory that she’s afraid he is trying to one up her and use her as a pawn. he does come off as controlling. he tells her that they are equals and partners, and then his men try to stop her from leaving his mansion. even though she has forgotten most of her memories, she is still by nature one who craves freedom because she was raised caged in the death camp. it’s probably making her even more skittish. speaking of memory loss, that probably adds to it all as she is constantly confused and throw in there how she knows someone close to her betrayed her - girlfriend is a mess.
HOWEVER, unlike some other enemies to lovers dramas I have recently watched (Kunning Palace and ADWAD), the enemy thing doesn’t drag on for long at all and she literally never harms him (at least nothing that he doesn’t end up getting back at her for). the writer did a solid job of showing how fluidly their relationship changes from enemies to cautious partner to blooming trust and then true kindred spirits fighting side by side.
Don’t even get me started at the no-push-and-pull romance that hits so right 😆 it was a sweet and so on brand confession. so chill but deep. in love with this OTP!
ML thinking to himself, “I know someday you will regret this, but I have to respect your current wishes.” After he makes clear to her that he has done his duty of warning her and it’s up to her whether she will heed his advice. ugh 😭 what a big brother. guiding her but letting her grow through her own mistakes because he knows he’ll be there to catch her when she falls 😢

I have really enjoyed the emotional buildup and I actually felt like there was somewhat of a release when everything came to front. I’m excited to watch FL rebuild herself. Hopefully ML will redeem himself.
I took a little bit of a break after ep 6…I am binging again and I almost forgot about Feng Lei until she reared her obsessive self again at ep 11. 😂 ML is starting to give off so many red flag hints. I have a feeling I am not going to like him realllll soon. The whole “keep up the lies and no principles in a marriage” bit was a full dang stop sign. We know he knows and it makes everything he is doing seem so disingenuous whereas we know FL is lying but truly in love. So nervous about the coming eps.

ML has only helped her, and even before her silly contract. Yet at suggestions from the antagonist that she knows is up to no good, she turns on ML. I understand her grief but how is it helping to give ML the cold shoulder? She thinks he is pretending and he was trying tying to distance himself from her family line, but really if she thought for 5 seconds 😑Scouts invaded house because the refugees were going to break in, which she even knew about as she ran over there for that reason.
