I'm enjoying this, clichés and all. It's the rare k-drama that successfully subverts clichés and gives the impression that it's something new. I will say that the entire Japan/temple stay subplot was kinda weak and I fw-ed most of it but the end of ep 8 brought it back together for me.
I like how the ML's past is coming to kick him in the butt. Too often we see leads not get the consequences of their actions because they turn a new leaf. He was a complete ass and it's a credit to the writing that I find him likeable at all. I also like they didn't go the "brother is villain" route.
Of course they're going to make up and it'll be a happy ending. Nobody will go to jail for theft or arson and sunshiney romcom rainbows everywhere.
I remember dropping this because of how annoying the FL was but I started it from ep 1 and I think I am ready to give it another chance. the rest of the cast is hilarious.
Why did everyone look so damn fine this ep? Hot damn. I don't really care that much about the overarching plot (Tony can drop off and I'll still watch) but the characters have me hooked all the way.
He saw the role, liked it, and took it? Do people think Kim Bum (the Kim Bum) is being forced to take 2ML roles? Lol. I'm just glad he's anywhere near a romcom. Hopefully next step will be him being the ML in one.
I dont know Why people couldnt understand, mu ranran is not mu qingue, they are different, its like having a matured…
Duh yourself because nothing in my comment says I don't understand why her character is different. I am allowed to be frustrated with a character and to voice that frustration.
It was fun little average spinoff, but 8.8 ratings??? Lol, that's crazy.
It earned it. There was a lot of negativity earlier, comparisons with HP, etc. It started off at 8/8.2 and climbed as the drama aired and people fell in more in love with it.
I enjoyed watching this drama. It was mostly entertaining. Started to feel repetitive at some point but they were able to bring it all back together and wrap it up nice nice. It helps that most of the characters are actually likeable.
I'm usually all for pairing rookies with seasoned actors but the gap in experience and talent is far. I really hope he can up his game close enough to Kim Go Eun's. Else he's going to be invisible beside her.

Looking forward to this drama a lot.
I think this rating is a travesty.
