Loving this show a lot. Seung-won is so lovable and cares so much for Hee-su without being a pushover. I also love how he is such a calming on Hee-su. He says all the right things. Atp I think my boy is blind because how does he not see it? There are certain aspects of Hee-su's development I'd have wanted to see but I guess the writer decided on using the revelation of Chan's relationship to achieve the same thing.
Ji-yu is such a wise supportive friend. Chan-young in the manhwa wasn't very likeable either so nothing changes much.
In all, the adaptation does well as a stand-alone creation so far. Let's hope they don't fuck it up.
PSA: Het couple took up a grand total of *drum beats* 4 minutes and 50 seconds this ep (this includes their texting). I'm actually impressed at how their story has developed with so little time. Doing this for all the "straight couple are taking all the time" folks.
Seung-won is so whipped of Hee-su. Those puppy eyes every time he looks at him are so cute. And Ji-yu being the best wing-woman. Can't wait for Hee-su to actually figure out what's going on. Glad they kept the two mums.
I hope this drama gets the attention it deserves. I love how consistent the pacing is. No gimmicks with slow motion or emo music and the emotions in every moment is still perfectly captured - all the intimate glances and touches from one angle. And the showing is on point. The dialogue is minimal but you get it. The cinematography is beautiful. Definitely worth a rewatch.
telling audience to separate 'life' from slice of life tv😂😂
Because he knows his audience and how likely the drama is to get judged harshly based on what's (coincidentally) happening in South Korea. Might be funny to you because years of your work isn't in danger of misjudged.
Akin's inner monologue at the start of ep 5 is *chef's kiss*. It's something I find that Thai BLs rarely get right. The timing, the delivery, 10/10. It's like a perfectly fitting puzzle piece.
One thing I'm grateful for is that I haven't seen anyone comparing every second of this series to the manga and complain about the differences. Maybe because it's being adapted in a different country than the source material or few people have read the manga. Whatever it is, I'm happy it's being mostly judged on its own merit. And so far, its kicking ass. The actors can act and they have more than just sex scene chemistry. Plus chemistry with the support characters. The pacing is consistent and I don't have to make massive leaps of logic to justify anything. It's worth every second of watch time.
I just started Death's Game Part 2 and it's gritty and violent and bloody and all his character is swinging a metal bat at someone's head and all I can think is "what a beautiful beautiful man". Every move is graceful. No matter what he's playing, there's this thing that is 100% Jae-wook that he can't turn off. I have loved him in everything, even when he's a side character.
Was not disappointed. Cue "the straight couple is eating all the screen time" meanwhile they had a grand total of 5 minutes and 3 seconds onscreen. Let's be fr. And where's all this hate for Heesu coming from? What exactly has he done? Am I watching a cut version?

I never said anything about Cha yeong in my comment.
I agree the episode wasn't the best because it was slow.
So what's the thing we disagree on? I'm still really confused.
Ep 4 was a little slow but I enjoyed it.
I'm never sure if Hem is smiling or smirking. Pond is just a ray of sunshine. Contrary to my early expectations, he's not even a brat or spoiled.
