is it just me or does the chairman and his sons look like they could be siblings i feel like they should have…
It works. Older children of older parents look like siblings a lot especially when the parent is in good health and still active. And they're rich af so you know he's getting the best nutrition/supplements and whatnot.
to yall saying that the second male lead (eunseong or whatever his name is) is a better fit for hae in, yall wtf...…
From what we've seen they got married pretty fast after they met. Then moved in with the in-laws. The first months/years of marriage they'd have spent getting to know each other better went up in smoke and they went back to square zero. It's quite realistic.
Found this drama because someone seems to be reviewing bombing it. Saw a bunch of 1/10 reviews on the Latest Reviews tab and went to check them out and they're all by troll-looking accounts all opened today. About six or so, so far. Might not make much difference to the rating in the long run but it's just a trashy thing to do anyways.
This is a drama where his character is not a "pretty boy". But Eunwoo is a pretty boy and can't take it off so…
What's the point? Just hire someone whose look fits the character. Unless it's an ugly duckling story, it doesn't make any sense. Making older or adding distinct physical characteristics that have bearing on the plot is a different thing.
I'm enjoying this drama so far but what would really bang is if it surprised me. All the elements so far point to plenty of k-drama tropes, well done/acted, but still tropes.
Eunwoo should change the genre .. he should snap out the pretty boy characters.. he s maturing as he s aging ,…
This is a drama where his character is not a "pretty boy". But Eunwoo is a pretty boy and can't take it off so I think people are going to be making these kinds of comments no matter what role he takes.
I'm enjoying this so far. I took one look at the synopsis and the trailer and knew not to have expectations. My favorite character so far is the chairman. Hopefully he doesn't have any bodies in his past. Looking at the characterization of Hyewon, she's exactly as she should be - grey. Her range of motion/emotion is way less than the average person's. I think the actress is doing a good job. I'm glad she's getting her big break early in her career.
Hye Won really challenging TaeOh like that. Girl needs to calm down.
All the way down. That club scene I thought she had something on that dude but it was just talk. Then she wants to protect Tae oh when she doesn't have any power. She needs to be a lot more strategic else she'll mess things up for him.
Chaebol brats get my goat every time. Midway through ep 2 and I want to smack this one so bad. Spoilt, sheltered and sure to cause trouble for other characters without serious repercussions to themselves. The "I must get whatever I want" attitude is annoying to watch meanwhile you have no idea what the real world is saying. Ugh. For now, watching this show for the two male leads. Everyone else is incidental.
My favourite thing about this drama is that THERE IS NO REDEMPTION ARC for anybody! Redemption arcs for shitty characters are one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to k-dramas. Not here. Everybody straight to jail or the other side. As should be.
Stuff like this makes me distrust any news on MDL. The "brother" should have been in quotes since it most likely comes from "hyung". The very least the writer can do is make corrections/revisions to their stuff when they realise they made a mistake but I'm guessing churning out content is more important than the quality of the content.
The funny part of these relationship gossipy things is two young people might just be having a fling and next thing they have to be in a "relationship" cos some tabloid stalked them. The only "vice" they're allowed (drinking) will kill their livers. Can't even have coitus in peace and you have to fake being in love or something. Then have to allow an acceptable time to pass and break up due to "busy schedules".
Also, MDL copying gossip from Dispatch will never not be cringe.
