That classmate is picking on I-na. Her voice/words are friendly but her actions are not. She knows exactly what she' doing and I see it escalating in future episodes.
The acting in this is good. Everyone is bringing their A-game. Too often in BLs there is a gap in the acting skills of the leads and it just makes it difficult to watch.
I'm so satisfied with this winners' list. Especially Lee Ha Nee winning best actress is a drama. Love her to bits. Also Moving and Exhuma. Brilliant works across board.
Okay. They have my full attention. Still have reservations about some of the plot choices but I'm biting.
I hope the below-the-belt moralists drop this drama asap. You wouldn't want to corrupt your minds watching the nastiest female character in the history of FLs. She *gasp* had sex with men to lure them into her scam. tut tut tut

It's Sunday. I've got time.
My post: I was a little reluctant to watch this because there's a fat character. It's not worse than anything I've seen so far but the scenes with Dong Hee were still cringe with the usual fat jokes/insults. I'm curious to know why she started eating so much. If it's just a case of her being a glutton, I hope it's properly situated in the story and not just a punchline.
I'm looking forward to the daughter's dynamics with the ML and FL.
First and last line of your response: being fat is nothing to be celebrated... (there is a difference in making fun of the people and navigation facts)
What's the correlation? Because nothing in my comment "celebrates" fatness and the facts I stated are related to episode 1 of the drama. Where are your facts from?
Let's break it down. You read my comment as being positive toward a fat character and felt the need to remind me of how unsightly fatness is but of course, you're not a bad person so you have to add the requisite "I'm just stating facts".
Meanwhile, I'm interested in seeing a fat character be treated as more than a punchline for a change in a K-drama. Let's see some depth for once.
Please don't use my comment as an excuse to air your personal biases. I don't care to be drawn into people's projections. Talk about the DRAMA or exit left.

Are you saying it's okay for Dong Hee to be treated as a punchline in this drama? Because nothing you've typed here relates to my comment. Break it down for me, please.

Maybe I set my expectations too high for this. I knew it was going to be a comedy but I expected it to be a little more mature and a little less gmmtv formulaic. Nothing in the first episode held my attention. The "sex" scene could have been funny af but it mostly fell flat. For me.
But I like Inn so I'm going to dial my expectations way down and enjoy the remaining episodes.
I'm just glad Se-Seung is taking a step back. J Sub was taking her fi diat. I mean the woman could not take her eyes off him 90% of time so much that he talked about it more than once. So it's crazy he's acting like she wasn't that into him. I don't know where he gets off acting like he made some big sacrifice or something. Dude bought her some pastry and bought chocolates for his real crush (forget that thing about bringing it out for everybody, it was for Cho-A). Then he acts all heartbroken when Jiwon doesn't pay him mind. Now he's back to love-bombing Se-seung since he is out of options but because he thinks she picked someone other than him at the very beginning, he's going out of his way to be hurtful. Jae-hyung is in a slightly similar situation but you don't see him giving Juyeon false hope.
If all of that wasn't clear, I dislike J Sub and I hope Se-Seung does not end up with him. She deserves way better.
The plot is paper thin but this combination of actors works beautifully. The characters are likable, it's simple and straightforward. Never thought I'd ever not roll my eyes at a slip and kiss. So many beautiful men on the screen and I'm ready to forgive anything.
This is such a thoughtful review. Thank you for writing it. I decided a long time ago I wasn't going to watch this drama but I saw an edit on YT and decided to read reviews to see if my mind changes. No such thing happened but I'm just pleased to read something as well-written as this on MDL.
I've become uninvested in the leads' romance atp. I think they peaked for me in ep 10. With the possibility of a sad ending, I'm choosing myself. Thankfully the plot is solid without the romance plot and the supporting cast is *chef's kiss*
You never know what the truth really is. I remember reading an article on bullying a while ago. It describes the…
"For example, actors are usually extroverted, occupy a high role or status, self assured, may give off an impression of trustworthiness and reliability, has an air of untouchability, very convincing, a need to control situations, and maybe very charismatic." I'd love to see some research results or stats on this.
Anecdotal evidence points to quite a few actors being introverts. There's an article on MDL with actors' MBTIs and the number of introverts is substantial. Actors may act extroverted in public since it's part of their jobs as celebrities. It's a whole different thing to make the statement you have and tie it to them having the same personalities as bullies. That's a really harmful stereotype to perpetuate.
