Finished binge of ep 9 and 10 and WOW this series took a nosedive straight into the toilet but I am right there for the end cause I gotta know how the finale plays out. I'm still liking it for the psycho emotional codependent crazy that is going down tho. I'm into these toxic characters. What kind of ending they gonna give us? Happy? lol We'll see...

Binging eps 1-10 now and on ep 8 and I'm amazed at how I felt this would be darker, but it was more lighthearted then it flips to all hell breaks loose lol Many say Lu Feng the bad guy, hell both are toxic. Yichen has played with Lu Feng's feelings mercilessly and worse thing is he is a huge coward. Runs away. Yichen is a massive instigator of all that has happened....ignition point. (I like how mom has like days to live according tom Dr but there she is all bright and cheery in her wedding best outfit....what a screwed up storyline going down haha)

Exactly. Agree. Key difference is that Lu Feng gained his courage but Yichen is still a coward. He literally wouldn't get back with him unless he promised forever, and Lu Feng did and went all in with the exact promise that Yichen been spewing over and over, never break up with me and I won't ever leave you. Yichen screwed him over. Little bro only was in confrontation because of Yichen breaking up with Lu Feng when everyone's emotions were running so high.

I screwed up lol. I was watching Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami before this series and Kaji was being transferred for a job.....I mixed up the time between KAJI and KUJI haha. The names, so close. So will edit that mistake, but yea, in the drama when I went back it said he travels for extended months which fits the manga.. so it wasn't 2 yrs...which threw me when I thought they would change Smokey Blue so much.....well I am glad you caught my confusion on that part! I need series where the names aren't almost identical :) Good catch, I feel better knowing Kuji was only gone like 6 months! Thanks for catching that.

Ep 6 and I love clothes thrown about the floor right out of the gate lol. I'm worried for them all at this point....arrgghh.....swords and poison and death all around, historicals are cruel to us viewers but can't wait to see the track this is going to take.

Oh yea right on board with you!! NC scene and the bath were staged so nice! Great to have the real intimate romance connection between them be served to us in the series, makes the mains feel more relatable in their journey together. Series is doing well!

Ep 10 and still ok ig. I don't get enough chem between mains or interaction due to story feeling unbalanced....too much little bro interaction still plus at this point I wanna see more of the second couple now cause they stealing the chem in the romance dept. of this series. Kiss scenes between mains seems so awkward to me. Ending to the ep. was cute tho. (this isn't over right? I mean there's more right?) I have no idea how many eps for this series haha

LOL.....yea to say Azuma's rival in his brain is the sender of the tickets? Kuji, man, dude!! One thing tho is I read the manga and Kuji and Azuma are going at it constantly like rabbits and Kuji is 'a tad more aware and kind' to Azuma actually but in this adapted script, wow, the writers really made Kuji stunted and stagnant, like he is incapable to make a first move with Azuma. He is a red flag in this series if I ever saw one....not intentional meanness that one can slap the stupid out of a person, but his being unaware to the level to constantly hurting Azuma with his remarks and basic partner neglect is truly sad. Hell give me Azuma, I'll treat him right lol.

yea, kicker is he didn't know about the hot spring tickets being scored from the other guy til he was in the water.....notice his face did a 'flash of sad' and then he smiled it off quick. When Kuji says I didn't realize you'd be this happy and you have the Nukita to thank for this...Azuma's eyes narrow in a WTH squint and face deflates for a split second then he sucks up and says what a cool guy for giving Kuji the tickets. Kuji is a clueless scumbag at this point. To say that to Azuma, damn, if that was me I'd be gone saying f u dude. Azuma is scared to confront him, scared he will lose him. But to me, is this dude worth it? lol

Ep 10 and I loved Latte and Kim in this ep. Finally, Kaew gonna put a leash on Jom :) weeee....

Agree, that actor playing the nephew is sweet!! Also never liked when ya surprise someone with a present, like a trip to an onsen, and Azuma all super happy thinking this was planned by Kuji and it floored him and he was smiling so much and then he finds out it was gifted by someone else and he gets invited on someone else's dime last minute LOL (doesn't help it was by the guy he is a bit jealous of) So much for the real romance action of it, but hey a free trip is a free trip haha

'read'? are you talking the manga or is it how you read the live action series lol If live action yes they are content with each other, I agree, I see it also or they would not be together to this level. But content is a weak form of true happiness to me. Both want more, Azuma definitely wants more and is more verbal but life issues has him questioning if he can get it and does Kuji even want it, but if Kuji would actually speak up and throw a real commitment and involvement to be a solid couple in on the future together then this relationship could move forward in a mature loving manner. So yea, agree, both are content, both desperately desire more but don't know how to move forward which means Azuma is clinging to Kuji for help on forward movement answers and Kuji has to just get his head out of his ass and come to terms with his daddy issues and make a solid commitment (as I see it)

Just got ep 5 done, WOW and gonna give it another WOW. Ahhh the emotional explanation exchange scene was great, I loved the shove and pin him to the table :) NC scene was great, it was staged very sensual and soft lighting, pretty filming, I sure loved it. With historicals I am always so angsty cause the power dynamics are murderous and ya always think the worst is going to go down bad! arrggh, can't wait for next ep. I'm enjoying this series!

Not dropped.....it is ongoing. Serialized by Comic Fleur. Volume 8 was just released in December 2025. Started 2021 and it has 5 english translated volumes (I believe) right now.....when I google to buy volume 8 it is available but I only can find it in Japanese. (So basically this long ongoing saga with these 2 is way more involved then the live action because they are taking basically volumes 1-5 'as the meat of the main live action' and then are going to 'end it in some collaboration with the author' to finish the live action series as complete, but the actual original source manga continues their journey. In fact that happens on a lot on the adaption from manga to live action and is one reason so many of us who read the original think, wow this is just so diff then the written story lol. But some shorter totally completed manga will be adapted, like easier vs. a still ongoing one. Like right now Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami, which is currently airing is also an ongoing manga....but they are basing the live action only on the first four volumes....so even this manga has the couple still alive and well and continuing their journey. It is annoying when I think of it cause ya fall for the couple, watch the live action but ya also know there is way way more to the stories of these couples :) Problem for me is getting my hands on the english translation versions of the manga, they are slow to print translated, and that if the publisher is going to bother for other language translations....arrghh lol Long winded but I hope that helps :)

sadly it is only translated on sites up to Vol. 5 (chap 26.5) but there are 8 volumes total written to date but rest not translated yet. This ends with no conclusion for the manga to date when reading what is uploaded but there is 8 volumes to date for this.....so the ending of the story will be summarized between the script writers n author I assume to conclude the live action (and based on the rest of the volumes we readers who are waiting for translation haven't read yet) (AND Wink, Wink...you wanna read about all the bunny rabbit moments to come LOL, the smut is decent in this manga tho too, they get along real real well lol)

yea I read it also and it tracks well but there are some changes in it that don't set the time line correctly. Like he only leaves for 6 mos. after transferring the house to his brother and he is already back when Azuma's friend dies....so the live action makes it seem like he is gone so long, 2 yrs was mentioned and he comes back early for Azuma but that never happens, plus they are way way way more intimate and have sexy times all the time.....the live action isn't really showing the depth of their actual relationship at all. They are solidly connected but the way it is written it makes Kuiji seem truly distant when he really is not so for me the live action has actually kinda changed their personality from the manga. Kuji seems broken and distant and he really isn't and he is all in love with Azuma and while Azuma is clingy and insecure, he knows he also has a place directly by Kuji's side so?? It feels like the live action is focusing on their life issues more to make it seem they are not solidly bonded and fighting thru to have this relationship to relate/connet and confess---while in the manga, their relationship is actually cemented in place....thry confessed, are by each other's side and are monogamous so---they just aren't sure how to move forward with each other and what suits each best. Do you kinda agree with that? Get that feeling of how off the feel of the written manga isn't showing the depth of these 2 characters? just wondering
