"Eve's Scandal" is a romance drama dealing with the inside story of a chaebol's 2 trillion won (approximately $1.7 billion) divorce lawsuit that shocks the entire nation. Seo Yea Ji is said to play the role of Lee Ra El, who was born between a genius father and a beautiful mother. After going through an unfortunate family affair, she transforms into a woman who is likened to a "dangerous flower" with fatal charm. I can officially get happy! Seo Yea Ji is finally confirmed and will begin filming on the 24th! Other cast members began filming today (21st). Hope this will be a smash hit!
I finished it but just barely. I didn't hate the drama but I also didn't have any strong feelings toward it in any direction. That's it's biggest issue. The acting was fine but other than that it failed at everything it tried to be. It wasn't a good business drama, it wasn't a good revenge drama and it wasn't a good romance drama. It just made for a very bland watch. Although, I actually thought it started out pretty ok.
This was such a charming watch. Loved the friendships. Loved the relationships with the parents. Initially liked Wu Zhi Xun but as the story progressed he became so self-important to a fault. I actually felt the same about Li Jin Bu at times tbh but Sabrina Zhang is a talented actress so I empathized so much with the character.
Amy Chen by far had the best performance in the drama. Absolutely adored her. Chen Jun He had the best character development and I fell for him as the show progressed. Duan Xiao is probably the best boyfriend character I've seen in a c-drama to date. Absolutely adorable and self-less. The father figure in this drama was a gem of a character.
Ngl 24 episodes seemed a bit long for this drama and I wasn't 100% satisfied with the ending but it was a thoroughly heart-warming drama until the very end. Highly recommend this drama.

He wasn't actually from the past. It was more like she made him up or something. When she returned to her time she asked about Duan Xiao and was told that they never had a friend by that name. He then shows up as a new student in her present time at the end, hence why he's also Zhou Yan Chen.

Oh really? I'm pretty new to c-dramas so I don't even know who Yu Zheng is but that's a pity that Yang Rong doesn't have good backing with her agency. I saw her in Cosmetology High and instantly loved her natural acting. And she was gorgeous as an added bonus lol

It seems from the comments right now that the show is divided. The chemistry looked really strong in the trailers so I hope this holds true for me and it isn't simply a case of manufactured chemistry due to clever editing. Not too worried about the ratings on this site as I tend to go against the grain here...as I do with Viki ratings lol
After 14 episodes I'm throwing in the towel. The show is not bad by any means but I'm just not jiving with the show. The directing to me feels a bit pedestrian with baffling close-up shots. The acting is generally good but the dubbing in this drama is not. A lot of the characters come off goofier than I'd like and the chemistry, while not lacking per se, is awkward imo.
The biggest offense to me is the lack of scenes between Cheng Yi's character and Mickey He's character as I initially started this for them. In the 14 episodes that I watched my favorite characters were not the 2 leads but Prince Guang and Qiu Yan Zhi. They had a different vibe about them and I couldn't quite figure them out.
Pity this didn't work for me. I do love a good palace drama but this wasn't it.
