Let me start with what disappointed me - by the standards of the last seasons, the boys this time are average lookers (except JaeSung). Also, only a couple of them are standing out personality-wise. By episode 2 of the last season, we knew the contestants much better than we know these guys.
Also not happy about this show trying to do a Transit Love by bringing in two exes. It will create drama for sure, but this is not the show I watch for that kind of drama.
However, it seems the show will begin in earnest next week, so keeping my fingers crossed ๐ค๐ป
These two are so perfect together! Such goofballs ๐ฅฐ
JiHwan was born into a mobster family, but he took the right path once his father died. Took along those mobsters too who genuinely wanted to live an honest life. He is a nurturer at heart, and so is EunHa. And they are both hopeless at romance ๐
Are they going to collaborate together in the next episode? Yes please! Both their careers will benefit if they work together. A cute workplace romance and decent colleagues are just what EunHa needs to build up her self-esteem ๐ค
Oh dear! You started with one of the spicest ones. Please don't think that this is the standard. Most BLs are pretty chaste. Once in a while we also get one like this ๐
Me likey that they are together again and stronger!
The new hottie is yet to come, and I guess he will bring in more angst. But I hope our sweet couple stays strong.
I'm not sure if it's me, but I felt a downgrade in the acting in this episode during the second half. It showed in the weaker chemistry between our boys too. Hope it's all in my head, and they feel like before from the next episode ๐ค๐ป
Shiaaaa! I'm not okay! Actually no, I haven't been better this year ๐ฅต๐ฅต๐ฅต
Mame had outdone herself in this one (so much so that I'm wondering if she is really the one who wrote that lame GL side plot). Mut and Rak are hot for each other and they have no reason to hide it. This is how I imagine two gay men would start a holiday romance. Though it's already obvious that both these guys are falling hard.
Mut seems to have accepted it already, and now he is going straight for Rak's heart โค๏ธ Rak is putting up a token resistance, but it's a losing battle. Though I want him to keep resisting for a while longer - it's fun to see Mut doing heart-fluttering things and Rak getting flustered every time ๐๐๐
What happened P'Golf? Were you feeling unwell and let your assistants direct this episode?
I wanted to kick Dee all the way from Thailand to Japan today. Sorry but he behaved like a slut. What was he thinking walking into Ter's house in that kinky costume? Even having dinner with him after preparing dinner for Yak? And he was going to let that jerk kiss him while lying on top of him ๐คฎ
The build-up to the kiss was as weird as the kiss itself. I kept thinking that Dee had appeared in Yak's imagination and kissed him ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ Dee didn't earn that kiss, and Yak deserved better than to feel that it was a pity kiss. Hell WE deserved better! ๐ก
Were these two episodes absolutely illogical? Yes. Am I loving everything about this silly show? YES! ๐
PS. I'm a big fan of Korean dating shows and it's always a pleasure to spot a dating show contestant in a drama. The actor who played SML's jerk brother in Ep 6 was a contestant in the latest season of Singles Inferno.
The first episode was so cute! I have been watching kdramas for 4 years now, but it's the first time I have seen these leads. The ML has such a unique voice! And his face is such a lovely combination of macho and dorky.
The gangsters-turned-corporate-executives is a new concept, and the first episode has done a good job of establishing their vibe and defining their enemies. Also interesting is that Ji Hwan has already fallen for Eun Ha (literally ๐). And it's easy to believe it - she is genuinely kind and sweet. And so pretty!
It's good to see recent Kdramas going back to their roots. I'm enjoying Freaking Fairy Tale too which has a similar vibe. Give me tsundere MLs and candy FLs! The whole world is doing edgy and angsty. At least kdramas should give us soft, heart-fluttering romance.
The cheeky bastard and the snooty diva! The dark skin against the fair skin! The push and pull of immediate intense attraction! Isn't it great when one of your favorite couples come back with even more chemistry and charisma than before ๐ฅฐ
The first episode was everything! Peat is oh so desirable and Fort looks good enough to eat. Connor knew what he was doing when he sent Mahasamut those pictures of a sleeping Tongrak. I can bet Mahasamut fell for him right then. Tongrak didn't take long to fall for him either. It's obvious that he is fighting his attraction for the annoying but irresistible Mahasamut with all he has. It's a losing battle already and he hasn't even been on the island for 2 days ๐ Mahasamut comforting a crying Tongrak took me back to the last episode of LITA. Don't we love a protective king ๐ค
PS. Fort here reminded me so much of the young Shahrukh Khan (superstar of Indian films). The same cocky attitude that hides a romantic heart. The same cheeky grin and wayward hair. The same warm gaze. My boy is a star! ๐ฅน
Why is there a new page for this? It should ideally continue on the original page. Or new viewers may not know that the story continued. Aldo, that page has a low rating coz a lot of people think Ep 4 is the end. Let all the parts be on one page like Cityboy_log
