According to melon, CHJ included in Tencent's announcement for their conference on 19th. I think filming will start around 12/13th.

Some of the drama rumours of the people you mentioned above are marketing strategy of the artists' team. The drama rumours posted can either be in contact, the artists intent to pursue the role, trying to hype the drama or trying to poach from other actors. That's why you should believe when they already started filming. Otherwise all these are bluffing. Marketing is king nowadays so these are part of marketing strategy of the artist to hype the existence.

There's no rumor actually. His name was mistakenly picked up from a discussion in forum, Then marketing account maliciously spread it as if these 2 were the casting. Xu Kai is famous for one of few young actors who didn't go to film BL drama. In China, it is wide-spread that BL gather large fandom so those who go to film BL are actually aiming for stardom. So they spread this to taint his name. By the way, this was rumoured since 2021 and nothing move since. It was brought back due to heat that BL might do comeback in Cdrama.

Rumour has it that Xu Kai's next to-be-filmed drama is drama, so they probably waiting for this drama to boot that's why both of them not in filming yet. And it's normal for Xu Kai to have gap between filming because he will go back to his hometown for break after filming finished.

This drama's script comes from unpublished book so it's considered non-IP. It has not appeared on any platform list of to-be-filmed drama so there's no way there were rumoured of actors. When the drama title first appeared on Weibo, it already linked to Xu Kai and Jing Tian's name. I think you mistaken some other drama title maybe.

The story is so good up until Ep 34/35 -ish. After that seems like somebody took over the scriptwriting. Doesn't feel like same scriptwriter with the earlier plot. Anyhow, you can still enjoy up till ep35. Then maybe if you want some closure to their relationship, go to ep40.
