I do try with the viki comments. Some of them are good, but quite a few of them are slut-shamers (aka, they have…
It's all Freudian psychology - both men and women are intimidated by burgeoning female sexuality, as for centuries women were considered properties of men, and historically marriage was all about transferring property from man to man (Woman has nothing to her name, because it's Father who has control of her assets, he marries her off, and all assets tranfer to the husband). People are threatened by females who make independent choices, the world over. Asian dramas are a case in point, because most of the dramas portray the woman as submissive, of lower class and lower intelligence to the male.

It's bad enough men do it, but fellow women! I can argue that they too are threatened. Centuries of being treated as objects, has ingrained into them viewing other women as competition for men. If a female is dressed overtly sexually, other females will feel compelled to attack, because they feel the overtly dressed female is detracting attention away from them. A non-threatened female would have the opposite concern. They would worry the female is cold etc etc, or be indifferent.

Person Ji Hyun Woo
Casting this guy in a drama is a criminal act. He is either mentally retarded or mellow
I am not a fan of the word retarded.
Especially used in this context.
The real criminal act is how you're abusing the English Language.
Do you even know what mellow means?
*sighs*

I do try with the viki comments. Some of them are good, but quite a few of them are slut-shamers (aka, they have no problems calling a woman, slut/whore etc etc.) What's poor Ha Ri ever done? Some people love their chastity a little too much. BARF.

When I first started watching k-drama:
"Everyone looks the same."
"The guys look like girls."
"The names are complicated. I can only tell difference between actors through hairstyle or clothing."
"This is a niche viewing choice."
"But I LIKE that niche!"

Episode 4 was great! :D ♥ Gave us more delicious insight into how much Tenten/Taliw mattered to each other as…
They don't have much of a budget. They can't afford fancy CGI effects, so they're making do with stuff you can knock up on a Windows Vista. So although it's weird - I just put more onus on the acting/plot changes etc etc

A little bit of self-promotion.....nice :)
Thank you. Enjoyed checking out the tumblr post...your additions were endearing

After reading your review, you made a lot of things slot into place for me.
He's isn't able to suitably convey romance. Some people blame the female lead, but for me all the dramas have one common point - him.

am i the only one who thinks he didn't post those letters? it just seems spiteful and vindictive. yea, Beak Seung…
Are you talking about that letter she gave to him, and it later turned up on the school noticeboard? Yeah, I think he did post them :( But I think they showed a flashback of why. Apparently when they were kids, she made fun of him and really hurt him, and this was him getting back at her?

The lead female is actually quite convincing as a guy. It's the lead male I have a problem with. He poses too much, and also pouts quite a bit. The action scenes are showboating, and they're literally pausing in the middle, just to smirk or pout at each other. So off-putting. Normally I would overlook this, but it was so bad, I stopped watching straightaway. Tis a pity.

Episode 4 was great! :D ♥ Gave us more delicious insight into how much Tenten/Taliw mattered to each other as kids, and in some unguarded moments (when he sees her in that fancy dress, for eg, turning around to smile at him) you can tell he's totally smitten. This is different from the other versions, because Taliw isn't some braindead zombie, losing all pride and self-respect chasing after him, and he isn't a total asshat, just degrading her for no reason. Best version of the couple and storyline so far. Thai remakes are good! Even the soundtrack is growing on me, and I'm bopping along in the opening titles.

Will give this a try.. TBH I avoid dramas starring Jung Eum, I find her irritating.. but for the sake of the good…
The 1st episode is quite good, 2nd and 3rd really dodgy, but if you stick with it, it really picks up and ep 7 is really, really funny. As you can see from the discussion on here, there are a lot of SWP fans!

Episode 1 is definitely promising... I also hate the thought that milking mothers are fed to the pigs instead…
Yes! Animals were fed on human breast milk, and also little human babies were fed straight from the teat from cows, goats etc. It sounds so ridiculous, but apparently it's been the norm for centuries.

If the world was fair, all good people would be supremely talented, and all lowlifes will have physical manifestations of how foul they are. Unfortunately - that's why looks are deceiving, and I never put much value in them. The devil can look handsome, if he wanted. Dressed mighty fine, with twinkling blue eyes. That's why a person's character is always much more important, but this is coming from a girl, who could be stuck in a room with One Direction and keep her hands all to herself :D

Bad people can be talented.
How is that fair?
But I suppose all of us are human scales, with good and bad in each of us, and as long as the bad doesn't tip you over, the good wins! Finding about people's personal lives is good then. It helps us make an informed decision about not supporting the lifestyle of nefarious characters...

Sometimes I really dislike finding out about what actors get up to in their spare time. "Oh wow, he cheated on his wife of XYZ years...what a dick" - and from that moment on, their real life persona bleeds into the characters they play. Spot on, Ceki! The best actors are ones that choose challenging roles and transform themselves - take Jake Gyllenhaal for eg. His role selction is vast and impressive, therefore I am more likely to react positively to his name, and watch his movies!

Sometimes I feel alone in my bubble though. Everyone is always gushing on about idols, and how hot "the latest flavour of the month" is, and I just don't get it...sometimes I pretend...and oh wow, I feel like I'm revealing my soul here. Time to back track pronto.

Though I would be cheesed off, if they had a sixty-six year old playing a teenager, you know, stuff like that. Although literature is my most favourite medium, if you listened to what I said, then you'd have boys playing girls, grandmas playing teens...and so actors DO matter, I suppose. To believably carry the plot.

In literature you don't have to worry about any of this stuff.

Good, yes. Excellent, no. I'm the same with western actors. None of them impress me. I always, always watch a drama or movie for the plot. Never, ever for the actors, even for big names like Leo DiCaprio/Johnny Depp etc etc The only reason I might follow an actor, is if I notice their agent picking out good roles for them.

...What if none of these actors do it for me? LOL. I'm joking.
But since I'm not being set aflame by the options, I'll just sit this one quietly out :)

I hate first-lead cliches. I want writers to appreciate the second leads more and give them a chance at love.…
It's a problematic idea. "Oh, he's nice to me, so I'll just drop my panties." No, it doesn't work like that. What if you have 10 guy friends, and they're all perfectly sweet and lovely? Do you say yes to all of them? You can't. It's tricky choosing a life partner, and as long as the guy you're picking isn't abusive and makes you feel like sh*t, then what does it matter, if he's over affectionate and nice or moody and a tsundere? Just as long as you feel something, and he feels it back :)
