When I first saw him in his 80's flower-printed blazer, I wasn't impressed, but he is able to be oddly menacing when he wants :) In fact, the flower-printed clothes just makes him even more sinister....pretty smile, deadly eyes.
I would've given this a 10 at episode 16. It started of a little cliche, and then it became extremely extremely addictive. If the last two episodes hadn't have happened, it would be 10 for sure. But I was disappointed we didn't see daughter and mother reuniting on screen. It happened OFF-SCREEN. That was pretty unforgivable in my opinion. If this had been 24 episodes, everything would've been wrapped up nicely instead of it being rushed.
Siwon shone in ep 6. It was too funny, watching him taking care of a sick Seong Joon, and then sashaying his hips in the kitchen the morning after. I am shipping Seong Joon/Shin Hyuk now, lol :D Ha Ri...how could she do that? But I'm so, so happy that Seong Joon is noticing Hye Jin for who she is...still doesn't explain his harsh language from before, but we're getting tantalizing flashbacks.
How on earth is she THIRTY?!?!?! She didn't look a day older than 25....
Some people look older than their years. Some people look younger. What's the big deal? I don't get these comments feigning surprise...fair enough, if it's a sixty-year old....
I'm still very early in (episode three) but I love that the male lead has this genuine bemused interest & comes…
Hana Yori Dango is a Japanese shojo series written and illustrated by Yoko Kamio. Moon River is based on a novel by the wonderful Ming Xiao Xi. As you go on in the series, it's like they've taken all the best of HYD, added an extra slice of awesome, and then served it up! Nobody can physically intimidate Xiao Xi, so Sha Sha and her posse, have to resort to underhand tactics that can't be traced back to them! (Though that backfires, haha.) The male lead doesn't bully anyone AT ALL. He is a different character to Gu Jun Pyo full-stop. Except for being rich and pretty.
@theartwit Taiwanese dramas generally have better skinship than k-dramas, and sometimes I prefer the plots as well. They have all the same tropes as k-dramas, but not as pronounced. However, that said, it is still hard to find a decent taiwanese drama, so I really think you lucked out, discovering this as your first :)
So far soooo very good! I LOVE the heroine. Ok maybe it has some BOF vibes with the flower boys and the love triangle…
Yes, I like how he is fair and doesn't actually bully people, so the only things they have similar with F4 is the flower boy vibe, and the Ji Hoo plant in this drama, that plays the violin. Otherwise, they are pretty different!
But I wasn't very impressed that he stood up to his dad, because he was still using his dad's money to enjoy many luxuries, so I was so so surprised to see this drama tackle the dad cutting him off, and Liu Bing being forced to man up and set his own path alight.
THAT'S when he impressed me. Because he stuck with his guns, and embraced all the repercussions of going against the grain, whilst he only enjoyed benefiting from it before!
I really like how out of the three guys (the red headed one), he's totally disinterested in Xiao Xi and her drama, except for how it affects the love of his life, Sha Sha. I really appreciate his role. Whilst everyone else is falling over praising the female lead, he's just like..."I don't get it? What's so special with this girl?"...and I think he genuinely means it. In real life, not all guys pant over one girl, so I'm glad he has his own focus elsewhere.
I think everyone is mistaken about the story.I feel that sungjoon also has a lot of character development, and…
Good to know you're not giving up! It would be nice to see your opinions on here. You certainly like playing devil's advocate and bring a lot of debates out into the open.

She did stand up for herself. Her fightback started with that scene at the airport! Granted, he then told her to "forget about the incident" instead of apologizing, but baby steps first? :D
Pleasantly surprised with ep 4. Liked it better than 2 & 3. When Hye Jin let rip, about he was totally to blame for her going to Incheon Airport (she asked multiple times if it was the correct way, he ignored her), he had cheek to pin it on her! Give him a bit of that backbone! Hell yeah,

The heroine is the BEST.
She is a strong creature for sure.
