I hate first-lead cliches. I want writers to appreciate the second leads more and give them a chance at love.…
I don't think just because a guy likes you, and treats you well, gives him automatic rights to how you feel and how you should give your body up. At the end of the day, it's her choice. Though like you, sometimes I wish writers throw in a curveball and make the second lead, become the main lead XD
1) I will use a Marilyn Monroe quote that is very effective: "If you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." I have always appreciated Hye Jin from the beginning, so for me, it just gives me so much delight seeing Hye Jin finding confidence in herself, and becoming more awesome. Some people criticized her at times, but like Marliyn said...if you can't handle a character at their worst, then you don't deserve them at their best!
2) I loved the meta reference with booking super junior for the launch. LOL.
3)I loved how the italian-speaking chief gave the speech, but when she was speaking in korean, did you notice the english subtitles on the screen behind her? LOL. That should've been the easiest bit to translate for the Viki gang! But they went ahead, and used their own anyway....I appreciate that. The background screen wasn't fully visible in most shots.
Overall, really liked episode 9! Still lots of things unanswered, but we're getting there....
Much like a Kwon Soo Ah, there is a snake on this thread. Pretends to be nice, but is vitriolic towards same gender relationships. That person disgusts me.
I recommend everybody watch this drama. I'm learning historical facts, I've never learnt before. In the first episode, when the kids were peeping, and saw piglets being breastfed by women...I was like, what fantasy is this? This is so far-fetched (yes, I'm showing my ignorance here)...but then I googled it for a "laugh" and it turns out human-animal breastfeeding has been going on for a very long time, and in some cultures, still practiced today. I was gobsmacked. But for learning this little fact alone, I'm glad I started this drama. Plus it's engaging, exciting and well acted!
Can you believe some people are expressing disappointment that the girl decided to have a makeover. Better on her terms, than anyone else's. I was sooooooo psyching myself for a scene, where Seong Joon waves his magic wand, and an army of assistants come out with tongs and brushes. But I guess ep 9 will reveal how the makeover came about?
They both go on a diet and fall in love in process?
LOL!
No, he's a personal trainer so I imagine he'd be quite fit. I think she's going to book him as her personal trainer, and there will be hot and steamy sessions in the gym :P :D
Sha Sha just needs to get over Bing already. When will her character ever develop? She cries at the drop of a hat. Also that red-headed boyfriend of hers...he needs to develop self-respect. If I spent ages on a painting, and my girlfriend threw water at it....I wouldn't spend time restoring it and giving it back to her....jeez. These two numpties deserve each other!
Did he found out who she was? Right before he fired her ? I am not sure about it. .but it seems as if he did..but…
I think all the clues added up, but he just fired her instead of confronting her. However the last 30% is not subbed, so i have no idea what they talked about on the swings.
Everything is changed in this version, scenes, characters. I also suppose, there won't be little brother. I don't…
The original plot wasn't that great anyway. I liked the taiwanese version for the actors, and the korean one was just dreadful. Both can certainly be improved upon!
Episode 7 was hilarious. I was laughing so hard. I haven't laughed that hard for ages. Good, old poop humor....it had it all going on. Best episode. And I loved how Seong Joon and Hye Jin proper connected, talking into the night about their likes and dislikes :)
Ok, I've reached ep 13. But I'll have to admit; the (EDIT) 'Stubborn' character of Ming Xiao Xi is really getting…
Are you talking about Big Brother Apprentice? Or Che? C'mon ep 14 and 15 were totally heart-warming. I'm kinda wondering how they're gonna fill the second half, because so much has happened already, but I'm not losing hope.
Yes, it's easier to hate someone when they're mean to your face. The snake-in-the-grass friend, who is outwardly nice until she gets caught is the worst.

But I'm happy for his role in Cheer Up
Psst...I'm still a Moon River fan.
