Bro, I think the consent was shady because of the drinking. But I will give it to them that he was a lot more…
You know what, I agree that at this point in their relationship, sex - without resolving the many issues they have as a couple - is possibly a really bad idea. But then again, not everything in relationships happens in the *correct* order (LOL, what is that even?). As long as there is mutual consent, I'm more than good with it. I wasn't even commenting on that.
I really only commented on the bed scene.
And regarding that, I'm preeetty sure that this scene is NOT how casual hookups look like 😁😜😏 This is most definitely how you make love when you are IN love with the other person. This sh!t is properly filmed, I can tell you thatπŸ˜‰

I see your point in that we don't know the full backstory of Nut and Tarn, but that's not exactly what I was focusing on.

My point was that once you fall in love with a new person you move on from an old love interest. It doesn't mean that there is no place in your heart for them, but you just simply aren't in love with them anymore. You are in love with a completely new, different person. So how can you be expected to go back to the old person, while in love with the new person LMAO? Tofu isn't Tarn. They're not one. The way I see it, based on how they have been portrayed by the show so far, they are two different people, sharing certain traits/subconscious memories.

I wonder. That would majorly suck.

Tofu is obviously end game with Nut. On the cast list, he and Nut are the main characters.
I do hope you are right and it's a happy ending.

Haha. No, I totally see ur point bro.

At the same time, I think that it heavily depends on an individual when they stop being sober, and I don't see any signs of them not being sober in this scene. We all know that this is only to be "correct" LMAO, but they even ask that question. So to me it is consent. Actually, Lian asks for consent 3 times, so I think we're good 😁

Also, whatever they said (and yes, a lot of it was cringey and lame af), they did agree on one thing: they both wanted to fuck, and for me that's enough. And hey, they even had feelings for each other, what more can you ask for bruh?

One of my best buddies said that u probably need experience in order to see this scene as a romantic one. I'd argue that he has a point. I'm not entirely sure u *need* experience, but it definitely helps. I'd even go as far as to say that the more experience you have the easier it is to see the value of this scene.
*Just to be clear, I'm not saying you personally have or don't have experience, it's just a general observation. I'm not trying to discuss ur experience at all πŸ˜†πŸ˜…*

Well, i think it's safe to assume that Nut loves his mom (in my post, I'm not only talking about Tofu being abused, after all), and that in the last episode Nut and Tofu already have feelings for each other.
On The Miracle of Teddy Bear Apr 11, 2022
I'm really curious as to how this show is going to end. A lot of people are saying that because Tofu is Tathan in Nueng's body, it makes sense that he goes back to being a teddy bear once Tathan wakes up, and that he is just a plot device to rekindle Tathan's and Nut's love.

I disagree. I don't see Tofu being Tathan at all.
Yes, he repeats his certain behaviors, has certain Tathan's skills, so he supposedly has his ...memories or something, hidden away in him. But he also has Nueng's face, and so what? He is Tofu, and has a whole big-ass side to him who is not Tathan at all. The side that is exclusively Tofu.

So imagine being in Nut's position, falling in love with dude A (Tathan). Something doesn't work out. They part their ways. Nut supposedly still loves dude A (and vice versa), but learns to forget him over time, thanks to dude B (Tofu) coming into his life. He falls in love with dude B (different looks, different personality, some traits are similar), and then eventually after living together for quite a while dude B disappears/dies/etc. while dude A reappears, and Nut learns that dude A = dude B cuz they share memories(?), their soul(?), so he should now go back to loving dude A. But how??? WTF? They are different personalities, and different faces. I'm not saying Nut should love based on looks, but Tofu and Tathan are literally different people. This just doesn't make sense to me. Quite honestly, Tofu seems to have more in common with Nueng (seeing that his face is 100% Nueng's) than with Tathan (seeing that he just occasionally seems to have memories/skills of Tathan's).

I seriously hope Tofu's role in this show is to allow the characters to move on and heal, as well as to be Nut's endgame (but Nut needs to straighten out his sh!t first, cuz man, does he get on my nerves atm).

Yeah, there is a good chance that the show will address it. And I never said they were in love to start with. Where did you get that from?

Now I'm sureSaint Mon relationship are more like best friends instead of boyfriends. It suits more like that.…
I agree that there is a very high chance that it's going to be a So-Mon endgame, but personally I don't think it's a given just yet.
Saint has an unusually extensive backstory, and is a prominent character in all marketing materials (even in the poster he is in the foreground) AND - what speaks to me most - he did explicitly say: "what wasn't possible in the past (because they ended up being basketball rivals at school, with Saint taking Mon's place on the team) might be possible now." It's like him saying: perhaps the conditions weren't lending themselves to you falling in love with me before, cuz of how the story unfolded, but things are different now.
But yeah, they might just be getting back to being very good friends, just as well.

I couldn't agree more. Nut is a case that desperately needs professional help, while Tofu (much as I love his character), and Mathana should've never allowed themselves to be treated this way. This is like telling domestic abuse victims: hey, it's ok, just hug ur abuser, and stay by their side, cuz deep down they love you, so shut up and endure it. Hell no! I'm surprised this show just lets this go (at least so far), seeing that in general it talks about a lot of mental problems...I would expect it to address Nut's behavior at some point.
On The Miracle of Teddy Bear Apr 11, 2022
So far, Tofu is proving to be boyfriend material, while Nut is proving to be advanced therapy material πŸ˜†πŸ˜’

I mean... what is even his issue? Dude, even if Tofu WAS lying to you about who he was, i.e.. a teddy bear (which he isn't lying about, btw) that's more a reason to get interested in his mental health, and have him get some help in that department, than punch him. Aggression control therapy anyone?

And even besides that, if a stranger claiming to be an amnesiac started dropping random facts and quotes related to me, from my past, that no-one had the right to know, I'd be more asking him: dude, tell me how you know this! And if you don't know the answer to that, let's find out together what's up, cuz I need to know, cuz u sus. I don't see how getting violent solves ANYTHING at all in this situation.

Mine is the opposite of yours like I’ll give a solid 9 to ep2 and about a 7.5 to ep1. Idk what ppl complaining…
I'm not looking for dark vibesπŸ˜† It's just that after watching the fist ep I expected it to be an action/drama piece, with very good production, and an actual mature (if a bit cheeky and playful at times) take on romance. The comedy bit from the 2nd ep totally threw me off. With all due respect, I actually hated Tankhun's role. I'm not entirely sure what this show is trying to be right now. I know you can argue it can be a bit of everything, but to me if you're trying to be a bit of everything, you're not really going to be great at any one of those things. At best, you're going to be decent at all. But I expected excellence, and ep1 led me to believe this show could deliver on that, even though I'm not a fan of the mob setting in general. But maybe they want to make a comedy out of it, and ep1 was just misleading. It's still a decent show:) Let's see how it progresses. I might still change my mind.

Really? I could've sworn it was 9.3 just yesterday. I mean I checked it just yesterday, and only remembered it cuz it was so high. Maybe it dropped right after it was released in Asia, and before the English-speaking community started watching?

True. Also, I just generally like MCs (especially in BLs, which isn't so obvious apparently) who are able to stand up for themselves.

A drop from a 9.3 average score after episode 1 to 8.2 after episode 2 reflects my feelings rather accurately. Although if I was going for personal score, I'd give a 10 to ep1 and a 7 to ep 2. Hope this goes up again with ep3.
