I hope we don’t have a cliffhanger episode tonight. Hopefully, they wouldn’t end today’s episode with Sol’s…
It's definitely going to happen... Given the cliffhangers we've had each week I'm convinced the screenwriter is a sadist.

Omg, why are Kim Hye Yoon's dramas always jumping back and forth with realities - if anyone else has watched Extraordinary…
Extraordinary You is one of my ultimate favorite drama and this one is probably going to be another one :D

Ep 03
All I have to say is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Will my heart be able to survive this excruciating wait each week...
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Please have mercy and make sure episode 4 doesn't have the same awful cliffhanger as episode 3.

Find it hard to emotionally connect with any of the characters... Overall liked the drama but struggled to finish it over the span of 2 months mostly because of the very dark ambiance. Thanks God there was the sister whose goofiness I hated in the beginning but who became the light of the drama as it went on.
Anyway not for everyone. The drama is gorgeous but ultimately left me cold. I ended up invested in all the relations... EXCEPT the romantic one and when it's literally one of the most important relation in the plot... well...

I'm removing 2 points for the emotional coldness.

This end SUCKS bing time but it hints at a second season that has yet to be announced... But I'm very patient. I waited 12 years to get an announcement for my ultimate favorite K Drama - Signal - to get a sequel. Given it's and adaptation from a book, that f***ed up ending probably came from it so I'll be tuning it for the sequel even if it doesn't feature the same actors... and if worse come to worse... I'll simply read the book.

Even though I struggled... I do think it was well worth it... I wish we had gotten a pace that was like the final 5 episodes throughout the whole drama... But well, you can't have everything.

I regret having started this so bad... I didn't even know it was from the same writer of True Beauty. If I had known, I would have waited until the drama had completely aired. Had no expectations, didn't follow the promo, dunno the ML, I just adore Kim Hye Yoon and wanted to check it out.
It's too late, I'm done. I'm an idiot. Now I'm going to suffer from waiting each week. What a nightmare.

Glad to see I'm not the only one to struggle. As I'm typing this, I still have 10 minutes left to finish this whole series...
Would have been Ok if it had 10 to 15 less episodes.
Also personally⋯⋯ All characters are just pretty bland. The FL is a Mary Sue and the ML is just ridiculously too perfect. I know the Chinese love their FL to act all cute and though adult girls infantilizing themselves to look cute annoy me to no end, I'm usually able to get past it but I couldn't here since the whole plot was empty and everything focused solely on their relationship. All the cute looks or whatever just annoyed me. If the story is empty... well shouldn't there be some character progression somewhere? There was none because there was none to be had.

Anyway, glad to see I'm not alone.
I'm probably going to give the same ratings. I enjoyed the first 10 episodes but then had to drag my feet through the following 20... I'm a sadomasochist though... I can't skip scenes for the life of me but God I wish I could here.
It's available on GagaOOlala...

Already asked MyDramalist last month to put GagaOOlala listed as a Streaming Service... And I doubt I'm the only one. It's really annoying. It used to be listed and for I don't know which reason it's no longer the case... It's a legal option, I really don't understand why the hell Gagaoolala is not listed as a streaming website here...

Person Jeremy Xu
Dunno this actor since I just recently started to watch Chinese dramas ( I watched my first Chinese drama in 2017 but thought it was just meh... Love Between Fairy and Devil's pictures were so pretty though, I gave it a try... and I L.O.V.E.D it. It made me want to try others and now I'm hooked :D) but the rumors regarding overwork and creative differences don' t surprise me.

Ever since I started to watch C Dramas I'm just flabbergasted at the numbers that come out every months, most surprising of all, with the same fudging actors. I mean in comparison, personally looking at South Korea, if you see the same actor in three different dramas in the same year, you already know they're pushing the limits a bit too much. They do have to prepare for each roles, read scripts before accepting them and the filming schedule in Asian countries is just nightmarish but my God, I swear in China the pace is even crazier.

When the heck do these actors sleep?

It's not like people can keep up with every single drama that comes out.
The dude's probably drained. I'm sad for those who like him ( and future me maybe since I do intend to watch some of his dramas)... But physical and mental health should be his first priority.

He's earned more money than most people will ever make in this life, no need to put your health through the wringer to get more. At some point, even if you love acting if you act in projects that make you feel empty it's better to make peace with it and let it go.

He's loaded, there's probably other ways he can still work behind the scene and do things that feeds his creative spirit.

Also... he can change his mind. Take a good long break of 1 to 5 years and if he feels like it, come back.

Anyways good luck to him, I wish him the best.

This is like a miracle. Hope the main cast will reprise their roles!!!!! But i wonder how Jo Jin Woong's character…
You don't remember the end?
The drama clearly hinted at him still being alive but on the brink of being caught by whoever where pursuing him. There's no problem for any of these characters plotwise.

I've checked since I made a video about the serie and he always had this fake hand. You are not alone, I also…
I actually finished this series on the same day I posted this comment.
Thank you for your answer ^^

I've seen lots of comments regarding a season 2... But I feel the extra scene sort of killed any hope of a second season... I sort of says that Dan always belonged to the forest spirit so it makes sense that the Forest spirit took him back as tragic as it is for him...

Dan definitely had one of the shittiest father I was unlucky enough to see onscreen. What a dirtbag.

Nai is bound to notice that Dan is Trin at some point... But since Trin's body has been found... There's no longer any empty vessel to put Trin's soul in. So yeah... It was tragic through and through and I just feel the villains got a very light punishment given the size of their crimes but >_<

RIP Dan... if there's a season 2, I'll be sure to check it out but I doubt it... One can dream though...

Reaching the end of this series and I wasn't expecting the twist in Ep 12.

Now I'm wondering why I hadn't noticed Brother Anurak's fake hand during the first 11 episodes . Is it me who didn't notice because I didn't know, or is-it because now that I know, I can't help but notice that fake hand?

Or did they switch to this fake hand from episode 12 onward?

I'd really like to check it out but I'm too lazy. The story is intriguing but I've been struggling to watch it for months because I'm having some trouble with the pace of the drama... I usually don't any problem with mysteries in general but for some reasons, I'm having trouble with this one... I don't know how many times I almost dropped it in spite of the great acting and production value ( which is WAY WAY WAY higher than most Thai dramas).

Anyway, if someone sees this comment and has checked, could you please tell me the answer?

Thank you!

Can't really tell... I haven't read the novel myself. I was just really dissatisfied with the ending and read a comment mentioning the books so I just checked the end of the book... which was much more satisfying. Personally, not being familiar with the books prior to watching the drama, I didn't feel like I was watching filler scenes... So well.

Anyway back to your first comment... Based on the books, the sacrifice really felt like a sacrifice in them... But obviously there's reincarnation and all that, so there's always some form of happy ending somewhere.

Actually the end is a happy ending but it was VERY VERY rushed in this last episode... From what I've heard, C drama can no longer be longer than 40 episodes due to some legislation so if they really wanted to follow the book, they would have needed some extra episodes which they obviously didn't have... If you google it, you can easily find the novel, somebody has translated it entirely in English and the end is way better explained in the novel.

I hope so too but the sword could have been put there by the bad guys to make ver believe he wasn't dead.
I doubt it... In that case, the bad guys would have had to know that Yeo Hwa and her brother were training in the forest yet it doesn't seem that any of them are aware she can fight. They would not have been able to guess that the sword was supposed to be hers... Also they'd have to know about their secret place and again... it doesn't seem like it, because when Yeo Hwa's came to take her sword, she was already a widow... So she had already married, yet the reason she actually got married was because her brother disappeared... So they must have "killed" him - if we're assuming he's dead, but I want to see the body first otherwise I won't believe it - before she got married.

It could even be that Yeo Hwa's uncle who married her off got threatened by the Prime Minister and decided to protect the rest of his family by getting rid of her putting the unalive but alive brother in a precarious situation. Well, I don't know, I'm getting a bit ahead of myself here....

BUT I have another prediction for my theory... It's a bit far fetched... But one can dream... In the preview for ep 9, we see the Yeo Hwa's father in Law threatening to kill his son and they seem to be in a forest...
Well, I predict the son is going to be miraculously saved by a masked man who will turn out to be Yeo Hwa's brother.

The more I'm thinking about it.... The more I think it's possible. That would make a nice plot twist :D

I refuse to believe that Yeo Hwa's brother is dead. She received the sword... So he must be alive. I'm going to believe he was miraculously saved by someone and lost part of his memories or there's another reason why he couldn't reveal himself.
Otherwise, it's too tragic for Yeo Hwa.
I've decided to believe he's definitely going to pop up at least in episode 12.

But if he's dead then who gave her a sword?
Agree... Death is too easy a punishment... but this is a sageuk... so we're probably going to get a simple death for this scumbag.
Loving this show, but the Father in Law is nasty piece of sh***. Can't bear the sight of him anymore.

I also really have no sympathy for the mother in law. I understand she misses her son, but she's expecting the same kind of devotion from a woman who never even met him. That's just sick.

I'm more sympathetic toward the son, now that we know the whole story. He just wanted his freedom, he didn't know he would ruin a girl's life because of his parents...

Crossing my finger the marriage gets officially annulled and Yeo Hwa and the Captain get together... They don't have lots of scenes together but my God, does they know how to make viewers feel butterflies.

Title Ossan's Love
can you watch the 2016 film and then this series? the whole remake and au and everything has me a bit lost of…
I haven't watched the 2016 movie....
My understanding is that the 2016 was so successful that they turned it into a drama so basically the 2018 drama is the 2016's movie in a longer format. One of the ML was also recast.

But basically, you can watch it or not... It doesn't really matter, since its the same thing ^^

Basically
1. 2016 Movie ==> Skippable
2. 2018 Drama
3. Love and Die Movie ==> following of the 2018 drama.
4. In the Sky Drama ==> A kind of reboot of the 2018 drama in a different settings... That one confuses me. Its supposed to be canon, yet doesn't involve one of the ML from 2018 Drama but whatever.
5. In the Sky Movie
6. Ossan's Love Returns ==> Follows up to the Love and Die Movie.

According to comments here Basically if you start with this drama, you should watch 2 to 6 BUT 4 and 5 are canon not canon.

Can't really confirm. I've only watched this drama so far so I can't really give more precisions, sorry.

Title My Demon Spoiler
As expected, the two last episodes had about 20 minutes of important stuffs in total and the rest was fillers。
Still, I leave this show with warm feelings overall... So I was wondering if I should give it a 7.5, but I will settle for 8.

This being said... Gu Won's return felt like a Deus ex Machina... and a bad one at that. If God was to play Cupid at the end, shouldn't she have sent Gu Won back as a human and not a demon?
Poor dude is going to stay his beautiful self while his wife is going to wither and die... So he's literally condemned to see her die and reincarnate for eternity. What a bummer...

But I'm going to brainwash myself to believe that Gu Won will find a replacement for his demon work at some point and that he'll turn into a human. Or that God turns Do Do Hee into a demon to assist him. She probably has several demons working for her anyway since Gu Won has only been working in South Korea.
