I don't like it when one person is completely blindly devoted to the other without it being reciprocated. I just…
Hmm I would advise you read a bit of the summary of the webtoon just to know what you're getting into...
Or without spoiling, the tag "Sociopath Female Lead" is not here for no reason. I'm not sure how much they're going to change the drama compared to the webtoon... just that if we base it on the webtoon, I don't think the "romance" tag should even be included.
Personally, after reading the summary of the webtoon (see forum above), I've decided this series is not for me.
I think I'm just gonna check this page to see if they changed some things that will make the whole thing more watchable to me... but based on the poster, it really doesn't look like it.
I find it very funny that the "Certificate of Impediment" is actually written in English while featuring the French flag.
To be more precise the text actually features 3 languages namely French, English and Thai.
1. "République of Chandrasang" which obviously means " Chandrasang Republic" 2. "Ambassade de Chandrasang Bangkok" which again obvious " Embassy of Chandrasang, Bangkok"
(little linguistic point here fore those who don't know, English although officially a Germanic language actually has 30% of its words coming from French [ever wondered why to "enjoy" is not written "in joy"? That's because it comes from the old french word - no longer used - of "enjoyer" literally "être en joie" i.e "to be in joy" - modern french has replaced the "y" by "ie" ] , and another 30% from latin... and French is actually a Latin language so... In fact, it's actually not that easy to make a single English sentence that doesn't contain any french, latin or both)
ANYWAY, the rest is entirely in English which is just weird. I would expect for a text obviously written by French authorities to be entirely in French not in English. My guess is, they didn't have a proper translator so they just put the simple words they knew in French, and wrote the rest in English since nobody cares. But I NOTICED! I'm not fooled!
Finally binging episode 9 and 10 with english subs.
Initially I was planning on watching episode 9 this evening ( Love in the Moonlight airs in the middle of the afternoon where I live), than 10 on Tuesday morning and 11 on Tuesday evening since normally the subs comes out in the late afternoon.
It was a perfect plan.
EXCEPT, that I'm 100% sure I'm gonna spoil myself today's episode so fudge it! I watch both, so that I can enjoy episode 11 without subs with everyone... Hopefully. Got stuffs to do during the day, dunno if I'll be back in time to watch the episode...
Probably gonna avoid the comment section though since it's gonna be filled with spoilers and I'd rather discover things on my own for the last episodes.
How come when you search for "love in the moonlight" in Gaga, this series doesn't come up? It literally…
The number of episodes isn't that important isn't? Everything is gonna come out on the same day anyway. It's either 12 ep with the last episode being 2 hours or 13 episodes with episode 12 and 13 aired back to back.
Started watching this after many years of putting it aside thanks to of all the bad comments towards the FL and…
Same here. Didn't watch it for years for exactly the same reasons.
I'm on episode 5 though and I think lots of these bad comments could have been avoided if people knew from the start what they were getting into.
It promises a love story à la Bodyguard between Yoon Ah and Ji Chang Wook... But we've barely seen her at all so far. Also, let's be real it's like the show is selling us a Noona romance. I guess Yoon Ah appears more after a while since he seems to be fascinated with her dancing over noodles ( or he was BORED as fudge who knows...) but by the time she started to really be relevant, I wouldn't be surprised that people had already dropped the show.
Not that it's bad... But rather because the first few episodes just don't deliver on the initial promise so to speak.
In it the ML dies, but you definitely root for him at some point when he admits his wrongdoings and tries to reverse the damage he's done. Sadly it's too late. But the FL was rooting for him.
I understand you're not into red flag characters, but I personally enjoy watching red flags turning green in my fiction. That's the whole appeal of these type of stories. How the bad guy turns into a good one once he's met "the one".
I'm not saying it's realistic, of course, that never happens in real life, but it's a fantasy lots of people love, that's as old as times, even if it's not your cup of tea.
I don’t get why people are mad at Granny. She has zero clue what’s going on under her own nose, and honestly,…
Personally I'm not angry per say... I'm just VERY IRRITATED. For one simple reason, either she's really delulu, and I'm going to assume she's at least 100 years old because I'm sorry, I know a fair share of people who are 70 and older and who are neither oblivious nor clueless about what's happening around them. Honestly I find that making her delulu just because of her age is insulting.
Consequently my irritation doesn't come from her being delulu but rather from her PRETENDING she is delulu.
I'm not sure she knows her grandson is gay, but she sure does know he wants out of the marriage. She's pretending to be clueless about it because she probably doesn't want to pick a side between her son and her grandson. She's out of the loop, everybody is pampering her, she can keep her good life while her son is losing his hair and her grandson wallows in misery.
My take is, she only cares about her own bottom. She doesn't give a fudge about what's happening as long as she can keep her personal comfort and peace of mind.
I've seen that type of behavior playing a lot in real life. People know there's something going on, but instead of asking, they just look the other way because once you open that door, you get entengled in the mess as well and everybody has enough sh** to deal with already, no need to add others on top.
EXCEPT, Granny basically does nothing except enjoying her old days so a little bit of attention to her grandson wouldn't hurt but she's selfish.
Yeah I know... But since he finished before, doesn't it mean he's got less scenes? Hence my sad conclusion. This being said, I'm still hopeful, but I'm not risking my heart. I'll wait until it's fully aired... whenever that happens.
I'm tired of Netflix filming stuffs and then shelving it for more than a year after it's already completed. This is getting tiresome.
Nah. In the novel he does start as a villain but by the end he falls in love with the girl he seduced and changes for the better only to die miserably... Does he deserve what he got? Sure but since the girl he fell in love with, also forgives him, most readers/viewers would root for his redemption.
Anyway, if he finished filming before others... that doesn't bode well sadly. Will have to wait to see have it ends then but I'm not hopeful.
Pin is not to be justified. I have been saying it from the very beginning. She saw all the reg flags but she decided…
"I would prefer Sankaew and Sasin dies, then the wealth can perish and they all wallow in sorrow. Then Pin can be a loyal bride to a dead man."
LOL I had written that before 🤣🤣🤣
I want my happy ending but if they don't deliver on that front, let them do a Double suicide. That would be the BEST REVENGE EVER. Let them all spend the rest of their lives in regret. 😈😈😈
Read a couple of reviews to know that this is basically a tragedy from start to finish. A beautiful one for sure, but not something I honestly can sign up for. I don't do tragedies. Real life already sucks. I can occasionally do sad endings as long as the journey is a happy one, but sadly, this is not the drama for that.
It's too bad because I really wanted to watch that one especially for Lee Joon Gi... but I'd rather not traumatize myself. The last drama trauma I had was from a C Drama that ended badly... but the whole drama wasn't as sad as this one and even though I knew the ending before I started, it still hit me very hard. Here we are more than two years later and I still regret watching this drama. I haven't watched anything with a sad ending since.
But I feel depressed watching this. I know of the sad ending of course... But I wasn't expecting the drama to have that layering feeling of utter despair and sadness throughout. Lee Joon Gi is fantastic but my heart breaks every time we see him. I understand why people are talking about K trauma.
Like It reminds me of my Dearest. I watched the first part... but couldn't get myself to watch the second part because as good as that drama was... I just couldn't handle the sadness of it all.
I'm giving myself a couple of days to decide... But honestly I'm not sure. It just feels like these past few years, the real world has become so depressing, I'm not sure I can stomach any form of tragedy in my dramas. I need sweets, sugar and a healthy dose of happy endings and this drama is far from it...
But on the other side, I can't deny I'm hooked. So I'm torn. 😭😭😭

So I'm currently watching episode 10.

End of nitpicking time.
Actually it lists 12 episodes but if you make your mouse hover over the miniature for episode 12 it says "episode 12-13 Finale"
So basically it's two episodes stuck together.
They're just probably cut it in two parts for reruns.
Initially I was planning on watching episode 9 this evening ( Love in the Moonlight airs in the middle of the afternoon where I live), than 10 on Tuesday morning and 11 on Tuesday evening since normally the subs comes out in the late afternoon.

But I did watch one of the last scenes and there's no tragic ending in that one. The ML reunites with the FL.
Also there was this movie years ago called Cruel Intentions:

In it the ML dies, but you definitely root for him at some point when he admits his wrongdoings and tries to reverse the damage he's done. Sadly it's too late. But the FL was rooting for him.
